Vale woke up feeling groggy as she reached for her phone on the nightstand. The bright screen showing six freaking am. She closed her eyes for a few minutes before lifting the quilt off of her and sat up quietly to not wake Keith up. 


She was hoping he would soften if she slept in his room. His back is on her, showing a sign that he’s still mad at her. 


Vale closed her eyes at the stab of pain in her heart. It’s not his fault, though, and she admits it. She was the one who made him angry, and as a result, she felt the pain of being ignored by someone she loves. 


Sighing, Vale shakes her head off before standing up and head to the bathroom to get ready for today’s event. 


Just thinking about meeting her parents gave her a strong wave of headaches. 


The event starts at 10 am. But, she knows the folks are expecting all of the family members to arrive earlier than the guests invited. That was a stuck up rule of their family.
