Dana began to sweat from her forehead, watching Lyra get off from her fear. She had never seen this side of her before. What's going to happen to me!? She screamed internally.
"It was you wasn't it!? It really was you!" Lyra had an evil, crooked smile as her eyes struck daggers into her heart. Dana didn't know how to answer that.
"I don't know what you're trying to say, ma'am!" She tried to be polite even though angry but suppressed it since Ryu was present.
"Oh no don't you play that dirty card on me Dana. You know what you did. Just spill it. I wanna know how that brain of yours work!" Lyra stepped closer, her long shiny earrings dangling with each step. She towered over Dana with her tall heels.
"What are you saying!?" Dana protested, forgetting Ryu was there for a moment. His teeth grit in anger.
"So you're the one deciding who gets to live in our house!? Come on Dana!" Lyra rolled up her sleeves in anger. When Dana glared at her in disgust, Lyra finally lost her patience.
"Just spill it you crazy bitch!"
"Don't you order me around you-" Before Dana could complete her words, Lyra formed her hand into a fist and punched the latter across her pretty face. Blood oozed out of her nose,l as she hissed in pain.
"Did you raise your voice at me? Dana, darling. Tch tch…"
"Get away!" Dana screamed, only to be kicked from the top of the stairs by Lyra, who watched in amusement how she yelped while she rolled down the hard wooden steps. She hit her head to the end, laying flat over the floor. Whimpering in pain and anger she gazed up only to be met with the eyes of a cold Ryu. He had no emotions looking at her.
"Help me! Please! I didn't do anything! I swear!"
"How long do you think you can keep up with the lies? You're embarrassing yourself." He muttered.
"I've already seen the footage where you mixed the poison into her medicine. " Ryu said in a tired voice. Dana's eyes widened hearing that. But she had checked the room carefully!
"But, Dana. I'm curious. Why her?" Ryu tilted his head to a side as he raised her head by her chin with the sole of his shoe. She felt horrible and humiliated laying in front of him like that. Lyra came down slowly, the anger in her eyes still not gone.
"Why her!" He yelled.
Because I hated her! Because you were always looking in her direction! Because you never once noticed me in all these years when I was right beside you but she stole your gaze in just a day! Dana wanted to scream it all out but he wouldn't care. He never cared to begin with.
"Because I despised her!"
Ryu smirked even though his mind was boiling with anger. He knew what she wanted to say but to save her the embarrassment he didn't ask further. Instead he grabbed a firstful of her hair and made her stand up to his level, gazing sharply into her frightened eyes…

Darah was surprised when Eliza left, leaving her alone with a familiar figure who looked at her with concerned eyes. He rushed to her side, holding his hand over her resting palm. Darah smiled weakly at his sudden care… The last time they made that stupid plan, she never thought she'd see him again like this.
"Are you okay? I'm so sorry all these horrible things keep happening to you. And I'm sorry I couldn't meet you the last time I messed up. I really wanted to…" Devin closed his eyes feeling extremely bad.
"No… It wasn't your fault. I was the one who asked for help. And about now, I'm completely fine." She smiled weakly. Devin returned the gesture and pressed her palm slightly.
"I was so worried when I first heard about this. I know it hasn't been long, but… If anything had happened to you, I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself. Because I want to help you but there are reasons I can't." Devin said in a low voice as he locked gazes with her honey brown orbs. Darah felt so warm, knowing that he cared deeply about her. She looked down shyly and nodded.
"Where is he? I hadn't seen him the whole time…" Devin's smile dimmed hearing that. Darah was confused why Ryu was taking so long. What was keeping him so busy? The person who got her safe was nowhere near her eyes.
"I think I have to tell you this." Devin said in a grave tone.
"What is it?"
"Someone poisoned you purposefully. And Ryu is dealing with that person right now. Lyra's with him too. They said it was Dana, that maid. I don't know what they're up to. But you can guess… I felt like you should know."
No… Darah's eyes widened in fear. Yes Dana may have done something horrible but the only thing Darah could see right now was Ryu's cold eyes as he killed those men that night. Will they kill her too!? I cannot keep silent knowing what's going to happen! I have to stop them. Even if she did try to kill me I wouldn't want the same for her! What if it's a misunderstanding!?
"Call him! Please Devin I have to stop them!"
"Darah! I don't want to get involved in this!" He stood up from the chair and sighed.
Darah was mad hearing that. How can he stay silent knowing someone's going to be dead when he can clearly stop it! She pulled him by his hand and glared into his eyes.
"I won't ever forgive you for not letting me do this! It's not what I wanted! Nothing is!" Darah warned with the remaining energy she had left.
"Fine fine!" Devin gave up. It was the first time he had ever seen her this mad and didn't want to worsen her weak condition. He gave a call to Ryu and passed the phone to her.
"Here."
"Thank you." She smiled gratefully and took it.

"Do you trust me, Dana?" Ryu whispered, still not leaving her messy hair over her head out of his grip. As breathtaking as he looked, he was also equally an incarnation of evil. She got to see it first hand today. Dana was crying in painful whimpers as Ryu watched with no guilt. She was once again standing at the edge of the steep stairs. He had dragged her all the way up with casual threats.
"P-Please! I won't ever do it!" She begged but he shook his head with a dangerous smile. Her body froze when he slowly pulled out a black, shiny object from within his coat. A gun! He's going to kill me! He pointed it straight to her head.
"I'll make it easy for you."
She shook her head frantically with tears streaming down her face. A sudden call interrupted them and Ryu didn't hesitate to pick up when he saw Devin's name.
"What?" He asked in a lazy voice.
"Don't kill her please! The problem is between me and her! So please..." Darah said in a panicked voice.
Ryu lowered his gun hearing her shaking voice. He froze for a moment. So she was alright and well enough to speak. He felt a bit relieved.
"Fine. Take your rest." He replied, not too cold but lost in thoughts and cut the call. Darah's pleading voice had ruined his mood so he gazed at Dana with a blank expression.
"You're saved by luck."
Dana had a thankful smile along with her tears when Ryu placed the gun back into his coat. But that was until he tripped her already wobbly legs which sent her rolling down the stairs again.
"But that doesn't mean I can't break a few bones." He muttered with a smirk.
