I'm A Girl

The WAR between me and the boys ended up with them lying on the floor, sweating like their a piece of clothes, being drenched in water instead, it's sweat.

I went home with a form for the basketball team and a form for the talent show for my parents to sign.

I still remember when I was eleven. At that time, I was still living at Malaysia.

~flashback of Elysia's memory, 2015~

"Just go up there and sing.." I walk into the stage in fear. Did I told you I have stage fright? Yea, I was afraid of people judging me..

The students filled the hall. Some of my friends are cheering me up by yelling or wolf whistling. We were eleven. I hold the microphone tight when the backup song starts.

I started to sing, sometimes my eyes flutter shut because I was feeling it. The music flowing in my vein. But it all went down. HORRIBLY DOWN.

I came home, with puffy eyes and bright red face. I went straight to my room and cried. My mind wandered back at the thoughts of my friends mocking me and of course; my voice

Amirul said; "Why does your voice sounds like that? Creeeky, dude."

Husain said ; "Boobs"

That's the thing that hurt her the most. Both the boys said mean things. Husain called her that for the rest of the year because her boobs was big. Not like any other girls her age. She inherited it from her mother's family since her cousin behalf her mom is tall, fat, has a lot of muscles and big.

Her weight was 45kg at that time...

A year later..✨ -(2016)-

Today is her twelfth birthday.

She told her mom she don't want presents, instead, she just want to spend a day at a restaurant like a normal family. No dad running around worrying about his companies. No mother worrying all day about law.

So, as promised she spent her day at The Secret Recipes Restaurant. She ate a bowl of melty mac and cheese while her brothers had cakes. She want a piece too. Even her mom insisted her to eat or at least take one piece home. But she can't.  Her weight is doubling. She's weighing 88kg for a twelve year old girl.

At the end of the week, she asked her father for a gym. So he bought the equipments and make a gym in their house.

Since that day, her life changed because of all the time she went through puberty. The way her face begin to experience acne when she had her first period. The way everyone make her invisible when she was supposed to celebrate her birthday last year. The way she lost her weight all alone except her family and Ahmed were there.

PRESENT TIME✨✨

I sighed at the thought of my past. My breasts is still... Looked like my mom's. I hated it. But today I knew that everything I went through paid off. I have people that recognized me. Maybe by my YouTube channel. I made cover videos. I wondered myself.

Why can I sang in front of camera where thousands of people will be watching if I can't even sing in front of a crowd? Weird enough...

"Elysia!!"

I flinched when I heard my brother, Marcus calling me, standing in my doorway.

I take a deep breath and look at him.

"What?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Mom called you and your friends. Dinner is ready."

I nod and he leave. I stood up and make my way to the metal mini sliding door up the little ladder. I climb it with my mind off, wandering about other things. I look up when I want to knock on it but hell, life made it much worse.

Ryan open his mini metal door at the exact time my hand was about to knock on it.

My eyes went wide realizing how close our faces is. I get down the mini stairs quickly and places my hands in my sweatpants pockets. My hair is loose between the hood that's covering my head.

"Mom called for dinner. You can go downstairs first. I have to call Matt."

I walk outside of my room, while he's still standing at the bottom of the little stairs.

I knock on the dark brown mahogany door.

No answer.

I knock again but this time with a call.

"Matt? Dude, it's dinner." I place my hands on my hips because of frustration.

"Y'all eat first. I don't have appetite."

I noticed his voice cracking at the end of the sentences.

Is he...crying?

I try to open the door and it's luck, I guess, the door was unlocked. I stood in the doorway.

Matt turn around. I frown when I see his face.

His face is red. His eyes is puffy and his cheeks are wet.

"What are you doing? You skipped lunch today. You'll get sick."

I ignore him. Yep, I skipped my lunch. Not on purpose. I was... Let's just say I was kinda too happy because of the basketball selection earlier.
