Our Daughter [Parent's POV]

Seeing their precious child leave the womb of his wife, Drakonious smiled gently. His stern exterior became mush the moment he saw his daughter for the first time. He had only notions that he would have some affection for his offspring like a Father should. His Daughter, who had just left the womb was too adorable. His parental affection for his Daughter skyrocketed, above that of his Sons immediately.

Drakonious locked eyes with his wife, Victoria, who held the child for a minute or so, reluctantly handed her over to her Husband to hold for a moment.

Drakonious gently took the child in his arms inspecting her. Seeing her up close he noticed that his and Victoria's daughter was very adorable. A bright smile that was on the baby's face amplified this belief a hundred-fold. She had nubs for horns on her head, her hair that was as green, if not greener than his wife. But not nearly as long, as she was just born. The tips of her hair were as red as his mane.

Interesting. Given time the hair would surely be just as luxurious Drakonious noted.

Drakonious examined the child's eyes. Her eyes were golden, and the pupils were thin like a dragon. The child had very noticeable bags under her eyes from exhaustion of some kind.

He thought that maybe his daughter didn't sleep very well in the womb. Making sure to hold the baby with proper form, he spoke with his wife. "Doesn't she look adorable?"

His wife responded, almost exasperated by the statement her Husband made. "Yes, she does. She has your eyes, but, that smile, your smile isn't nearly as sweet as mine, dear." He nodded. "Yeah, I wonder. " He chuckled lightly; his cheeks red with life.

"Do you think she will be a warrior?" Drakonious asked. Victoria was quick to respond. "No, she will be a proper lady of the Empire. Though that isn't to say that she would not be capable of holding their own in a battle. She will have to learn etiquette before any crude tendencies are learned by her."

"Even if she wont fight, I will be sure to protect her. She is ours. Our precious daughter, our Princess." Drakonis affirmed.

"Certainly, she is our daughter. She will have a heck of a time dealing with her brothers." Victoria mentioned, "They will be sure to tease her. "

"I won't let them. " Drakonious stammered back.

Victoria contemplated, "For now, she can be raised apart from her brothers, let her have a few years of peace. Then she will have to deal with her brothers, even if it doesn't seem like it, with how adorable she is, she is our daughter but our sons must know their sister should they not?"

Drakonis slowly nodded his head. "Yeah. You do have a point, Victoria dear."

"What should we name her?" asked Drakonius

Victoria thought for a moment at this, "I was thinking, Jane."

"Jane? Huh. Not bad. Jane Forestscale. Sounds good. The name does not sound weak, but the name does not sound overbearing either." Drakonis thought.

Looking at his daughter in her eyes, Drakonis spoke "Then, Jane, grow up well, and get lots of rest. You're going to need energy to be able to deal with your brothers, they are... troublesome to deal with."

Handing back the child to Victoria, Drakonious smiled and said "But as our daughter, she will do just fine."

A flicker of a strange expression appeared on his child's face as he did. He caught traces of something that scared him slightly, an elder dragon.

He wasn't certain what it was, it was only traces, but, if someone else saw it, and if it could be fully manifested…

No, Jane is a perfectly healthy baby. And no matter what, that our daughter will have time. A dragon elf, hahaha, that truly gives many ordinary lifetimes to her. We have time, Drakonious confirmed as he continued to speak, to see if something is actually up.

There is also that ceremony in 9 years' time. That will ease my worries.

Looking back at his wife, Victoria, he relaxed.

'We will be just fine.'

Jane moved her eyes towards the blue screen.

Seeing the blue message box in front of her, Jane was surprised.

[Congrats. You have learned the skill Language Mastery – Level 1]

She had already learned the language skill. She would certainly be in for a wild time, in this reincarnation if she had already learned the language in moments of hearing the language. It also helped that she had heard similar languages a few times in previous reincarnations that she had experienced.

There was even that other skill that had appeared

[You have been bestowed the skill Heroism – Level 1]

Jane looked at the effects of the skill, and her jaw almost dropped.

- When you do acts of good, depending on the scale of the good done, you will get experience.

- When you are in the presence of a villain, you get a 1.2x stat boost.

Soon as the first skill arrived, another skill that seemed to be the counter to Heroism appeared.

[You have been bestowed the skill Villainy – Level 1]

- When you commit an evil act, depending on the scale of evil, you will gain more experience.

- When you are in the presence of a hero, you get 1.2x stat boost.

These two skills opened up another way to gain experience. She could do evil acts for experience… and good.

She never really cared much for being a good person. But since she would now be rewarded for accidental good it wouldn't hurt.

She overheard that there would be a ceremony in 9 years time. That would be a great time to try these skills out.

In the meanwhile, she would display her genius, she already felt suffocated by the love of her parents and she just met them moments ago.

She couldn't be contained inside all of her life after all.

And her brothers, perhaps they could be used in her plans…
