Nink looked at me for a few seconds, as it was clear that what I had just said to him, he was not so sure if it was a good idea or not. I knew that he did not have a lot of self confidence, which I did not blame him for it either, as he had a bit of a harsh life, with a lot of people that put him down, and made him feel a little bit worthless so to say.
It did not help by the fact that I did not go to see his role called at a meeting a while before mine. Not to mention the fact that no one offered to train him either way. I knew that must have put him quite a bit down, and it made him feel like he did not have any sort of worth in this world.
I felt bad about it now, but it was in the past, and we were now closer friends than we had been ever before. I was not sure why no one had offered to train him if I was going to be honest, maybe it had some thing to do with his parents, and perhaps they had a bit of some rough history with the tribe.
He was not by any means the strongest dragon around, but he sure as hell was fast. I needed him right now as well, as I wanted him to know that I believed in him, as I stared right in to his eyes. Nink looked at me for just a few moments more, as he blinked a few times, as I could tell that he was quite a bit shocked, and he could tell that I had meant what I had said.
I did not blame him for being hesitant either, as I typically used him to distract other dragons, while on of us went to the other side, to try to score. It did a fairly good job as well, but this time it was not one of these moments, as it would be just what they would be expecting if I was to do so.
I let out a bit of a sigh, as I then looked over at both of my old friends with a smile on my face, as I nodded for them to get up close to me. I saw that a few of the dragons had their eyes on us, but a lot of them were still celebrating on the fact that their team had just scored them a goal.
A lot of these dragons were strong, and I was not sure how long Penta would last, but it just needed to be enough time to give Nink some room, as I ran forward, as if I would have the branch. I knew that was what they would be expecting, as I was fairly certain that they would without a doubt not be paying him any sort of attention.
The others looked at me for a few moments, as it was clear that they were not too sure about this at all. There was simply 3 of us, and only 6 of them. We were not exactly the strongest group of dragons either, but I was fairly certain at this point, that this plan was going to work for us, as I knew that they would not see it coming.
We huddled up close to one another, as I gave the branch to Nink. I saw a bit of a look of fear in his eyes at first, but after a little while longer, I saw him nod to me, as it looked like he was ready to show the world what he was capable of, which made me smile a bit, as I winked at him as well.
I then turned my head over to Penta at the same time too, as I could tell that she did not have all that much faith that this would in fact be able to work. It did not matter all that much to me, as I only needed to use her as a distraction. I just hoped that she would be able to hold her self up for a little bit, while I was able to run in.
I let out a bit of a quiet sigh at the same time too, as I knew that we needed to start going sooner rather than later, as I could hear the cheering starting to die down a bit, as it seemed like things were about to get back to normal. I gulped a little bit, as I finally began speaking to the both of them, at the exact same time as well.
"Alright... Penta... You go first, and just try to stay up as long as you can... Nink, I will run in after her, as they will think that I have the branch, and you..." I said to Penta at first, as she nodded as well, as it was clear that she knew what to do. I then turned my eyes over to Nink, and I squinted at him, as I then began saying the last part specifically to him. "You get in the most open spot, and you run like the wind!"
I said it to Nink, as was a bit worried that the others might have heard it, as it seemed like I might have spoken just a little bit too loud, at the exact same time too. I turned my head to the other team, as I saw that they did not have their eyes on us, at the current moment in time.
I knew that it would not last that much longer however, as I turned my head back over to Nink, and I squinted my eyes at him once again, just to make sure that he had heard what it was that I had just said to him. I looked at him for a bit of some time, as I let out a loud sigh as well, as it seemed like he was in his own world.
As he heard me let out the sigh how ever, I saw his eyes flicker back to the presence, and on to me at the same time too. It seemed that he had now heard what it was that I had just said to him. I blinked a few times, as I almost expected him to move back, or to have a look of fear on his face, for having to step up and do this task.
It was what I was used to from him, when he had been younger at least, but as I looked at him right now, it seemed to be just the opposite, as after a little while longer as well, he then nodded to me, to let me know that he had heard what it was that I had just said to him.
I nodded back to him as well, as a flicker of a smile popped up on my face, once again, just as it had done just a few moments ago. Nink smiled right back at me, as it was clear that he was excited for this, and he was ready for it as well. It made me feel just a little bit better too.
I then turned my head over to Penta, as I looked her in to her eyes for just a few moments. It seemed to have a bit of a dim, and quite and empty look in her soul, which I was used to. It did not bother me any more, as I was no longer in love with her, though I hoped at some point we could leave the fight in the past, and at least become friends again.
I stared at her for a but more time, as it all seemed to be dead silence all around us right now. That was when I knew that now was the perfect time, as I looked to Nink to make sure he had the branch, and that he was ready. I then looked back over at Penta at the same time too, as I knew that this was where it was going to start.
I then nodded to her, to let her know that it was time. I expected her to not do any thing, but I was not sure why I might have thought that to be the case, as I knew that she was not like most dragons. She did things within a moments notice, as if she some times did not think things through in her head, before doing so.
It might have been a lot of the reason that we had got in to that fight in the first place as well. I shook off those thoughts though, as I then turned my head over, to see her fly past the dragons in the front, in just a blur, as it put a smile on my face, to see her do that as well.
Mainly it was the fact that the dragons were just so shocked, as it was clear that they had not seen it coming at all. I wondered if perhaps I should have told Nink to take the branch, as it looked like she might have a clear and open path to the other side.
That did not last all that long, as the dragons them seemed to realize what was going on, as 2 of the dragons then began to chase her down. There were still 4 other dragons standing here though, as they were all staring at me, as it was clear they knew that Penta did not have the branch.
What they did not know how ever, was that I did not have the branch either, as a bit of a smile seemed to crack right on my face, as I looked at all of them with that same smile as well. I could tell that it confused them, and some of them it seemed to scare them a little bit, at the exact same time as well.
That was when I knew that, now, it was the perfect time for me to go, as I did not look back at Nink at all, as I did not even want to risk the fact that they might think that Nink could have the branch. I then flew past them, as I did my best to pretend that I had the branch.
It went all according to plan as well, as all 4 of them went after me, as they seemed to be doing their best to try to hunt me down. I was tempted to look back at see if Nink had gone off, now that it was his perfect chance. I knew that I could not do so once again how ever.
I knew it would distract me, and it coule easily get me taken down, which they would soon then find out that I did not have the branch on me at all. I kept my eyes ahead of me, as I saw Penta get slammed to the ground far ahead of me, as the 2 other dragons, that had taken Penta down, looked at me in a bit of some shock.
I was nearly half way through to the other side, as I began to think that maybe I should have just tried to do this my self. That was when I realized at the exact same time, that I was trapped from all angles. All of the dragons were staring at me, as at first they seemed to be a bit scared, and a bit hesitant to come towards me, as they were worried that I might fly past them.
That was when they realized that they had their team mates all around them, as I saw grins pop up on many of their faces all at once. I closed my eyes for just a few seconds, as I was not sure what to do. I was the dragon of destiny, but there was surely no possible way for me to get through 6 dragons all at once right?
I opened my eyes, and I blinked at the same time too. There was no harm in trying at the very least, as I then nodded to my self, as I suddenly began to fly right towards the 3 dragons that were right in front of me. I could tell that it shocked them a bit, as at first they were not sure what to do.
I thought I might be able to sneak by them, as I was faster than all of them. That hope did not last all that long how ever, as it seemed like I had forgot about the fact that Nink had made all of the strongest dragons go on to his team, as they quickly regained their balance, and then they began to fly right over to me.
It was as if it was a swarm of bees, as they flew right on over to me. There was nothing that I could do, as I tried my best to hold my ground, and stay up, but I could not do so for that long, as there was 6 of them that were trying to slam me down all at the same time. I only lasted for a few moments.
I then fell down to the ground, as I was not quite strong enough to hold them of. I let out a bit of a loud sigh, as I felt them get off of me, so that I could go back over to the other side. I felt a bit disappointed in my self, as I dipped my head a bit low to the ground, as I began to head back over to our side.
That was when, I suddenly heard some thing whizz right past me, as I looked around a bit confused as to what it was. I blinked a few times, as it had seemed to be the fastest that I had ever seen any thing move in my life, as I blinked a few times, in a bit of shock, as I looked ahead of me.
I saw that it was Nink, as at the same time too, there were a bunch of dragons chasing after him, as they could see the very big branch in his front paws. It was point less at this point for them how ever, as he was far too ahead of him. It was as if they did not realize just how fast that he was.
I smile popped on my face, as I flew up a little bit, as I began to chase after him at the same time too. He had an open lane to the other side, as all 6 of the defending dragons were far behind him. I had a big smile on my face, as I was just about ready to congratulate him for getting his first score ever, not to mention in an insanely unfair match such as this one, where we should have not even had the chance to score.
That was, until I saw what was ahead of him, as I blinked just a couple of times. He had gone past the 6 defenders, but it seemed that some one else was chasing after him from the side, as it looked like they were going to catch him just before he made it to the other side as well.
That dragon was Kip, as I was a bit upset at him as well, as it was clear that he had known that this was an unfair match too, but it did not seem that he cared all that much any more, like I had seen from him at first, before all of this had even started in the first place.
I looked back over at Nink, as I was about to yell over to him, to warn him at the same time too. He had such a look of excitement on his face, as from his eyes, I could see that he thought he had a wide open lane to go and score a point for our team.
He did not see Kip coming, as it was now too late for me to warn him, as I blinked a few times, as I was ready to see the collision take its course in front of me, at the same time too. I winced just a little bit, as I saw Kip going at top speeds, right towards the side of Nink, as I knew it was going to hurt, as there was nothing to stop Kip.
That was when, the unthinkable happened, as it suddenly seemed that Nink had in fact noticed that Kip was coming from him, right from the side, as all of the dragons that were chasing him at the same time, seemed to stop, as they too noticed Kip, and they had a bit of a thankful look on their face.
Nink stopped though, right in his path, as it was as if he had hit the brakes all of the sudden. I stood there and watched, as Kip flew past him, and flew him self right in to the ground, as he was going at full speed, and did not expect Nink to stop all of the sudden.
Kip was a fair distance past him now, as he lifted his head up in a bit of shock, which I did not blame him for, as he was not the only dragon that seemed to be like that at the current moment. As all of the dragons that were around me, were all standing still, not sure what to do at the current moment.
That was when all of the sudden, they all started to chase him again. At first I had started to get just a little bit worried by the fact that they might catch them. Nink did not seem to hesitate at all how ever, as, as soon as Kip had flown past him, he began to fly right ahead to the other side.
He was so close at this point, there was no chance of any one being able to stop him, as he flew past the line that was in the middle. At first it did not look like he was going to stop either, as it looked like he did not notice all of his team mates around him, cheering him on, after they realized he had scored.
Nink stopped him self suddenly, as I saw a smile pop right back up on his face again, as I began to fly over to him, and start the cheer him on like the rest of our team mates were all doing at the current moment. I could tell that Nink was not sure how to handle it, as it was clearly the first team that any one had cheered for him.
He took it with a big smile how ever, as I chased him down, as I saw him dropping off the branch down near the scorers table, to let the other team know that we had just scored. Me and him met in the middle, as I saw that he had a very big smile, as I smiled right back at him too.
It was clear that he was in the hopes that I was proud of him. It was his lucky day too, as I was in fact proud of him, as I nudged up against him. I was tempted to play fight like we used to, but I knew that we were in a competition right now, and this was a little bit of a different type of game.
I could see the look of shock on the faces of the other team, as it was clear that it did not seem real to them at all. I did not blame them as well, as I was not sure how we had been able to score a single point with the most unfair advantage possible for them, and the fact that only 3 of us were attacking.
I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I knew that I had to enjoy the moment, as we had just done the unthinkable, and the unexpected. I could not wait to tell Socra about it. I shook off all of those thoughts at the same time as well how ever.
I knew that it was not over yet, as it was still first to 3. I knew that Socra would not be proud of me at all, if she found out that we had not won either. I blinked a few times, as I then squinted my eyes at Nink, as I could tell that it confused him a little bit. He nodded for me to go ahead and speak to him how ever, as I did in fact nod back to him, and I did so as well.
"Its not over yet... We are going to have to think of some other type of plan... The same thing will not work twice in a row... They will see it coming next time..." I said to him. He looked at me for just a few moments, as he blinked a few times as well, after what it was that I had just said to him.
After a little while longer how ever, I saw him dip his head a little bit, as he nodded to me at the same time too. I felt a bit bad for not congratulating him, but I knew that we needed to be more focused on the fact that we still had to score 2 more points, before we could count this as a win.
Nink seemed to get the gest of what I was getting at luckily, as he lifted his head up, and he nodded to me in a bit of an understanding gesture at the same time too. He lifted his head up high a bit still how ever, as I knew that I should just let him have these few moments of happiness, of the fact that he had scored for the first time.
I smiled at him, as I he then began to look around, as I saw him move forward a little bit at the same time too. I tilted my head, as I was a bit confused as to what was going on, and what it was that he was doing. Nink turned his head back over to me, as he nodded again, and then he began to speak to me as well, as I listened to what it was that he had to say to me too.
"Hold on..." He said to me. I looked at him a bit confused for just a few moments, as I was not sure what was going on, and what it was that he was doing at the exact moment. I then watched him fly to the middle of the clearing however, as I began to realize what he was doing as I saw he had his eyes locked on Lunk, as he began to speak up to every one here, loud enough for them all to hear. "Its 1-1 now!!!"
I looked over at Lunk, to see what his reaction was going to be, to what it was that he had just said. I saw that he had his eyes squinted at Nink, as I could tell that he was not too happy at all. I knew that he was not a fan of Nink at all, as I knew that he could not stand being around the dragon.
I was not sure why it was the case, but it all kind of amused me at the same time as well, as I did my best to not laugh out loud to all of the dragons that were here at the current moment, as I held it in. I saw that Lunk was not happy at all by it, as I knew that he was doing his best to ignore me as well, as he began to fly over to the dragons that he had used on defense.
I looked at him at the same time as well, as I squinted my eyes at him, as I was interested in what it was that he had to say, and how much of a team player he really was. I could tell that he was not happy at all, which I could not blame him too much, as his team had just let 3 of us go by 6 of them, with out very much of a fight.
I watched them, as I kept my ears open at the same time, which was not too hard to hear what it was that he was saying, as it seemed like he was trying to be loud for every dragon in the clearing to hear what it was that he had to say to his team mates, as if he were trying to prove a point.
I blinked a few times, as I saw Penta fly up right beside me, as she had a bit of a smile on her face, for the first time that I had seen from her in a very long time. It had been years since I had seen a smile on the face of that dragon. I blinked a few times, as I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I kept my attention on Lunk, and his team mates, so that I could hear what it was that he had to say.
I looked at my defenders at the same time too, as after the part where they had let the other team score, they seemed to be back on their paws luckily for us, after we had scored. I shook my head though, as I focused in on what it was that Lunk was saying.
"Did you not hear a word that I just said to all of you? I said 2 of you guard each one of them! I didn't say 6 of you all go after Jangra! This is a team game! He has team mates!" He said loudly to him, as I kind of felt a bit bad for him as well, as he did have a fairly good point too.
I felt as if I should not feel bad for him at all how ever, as he was the one that had came up with the idea that I should be put in to a nearly impossible situation with the worst team mates to choose from as well. I squinted my eyes on all of this, as I was interested to see what was going to happen next.
I blinked a few times, as I was not sure as to why Lunk did not just defend him self if he was so upset. It was clear to me, that their team had plenty to attack with. I shook off those thoughts, as I knew that Lunk, much like me, only went to play offense, unless he tried to do what Kip had tried doing.
I did not blame Kip for failing either, as he had no other choice but to go as fast as he could. It was just a very smart play by Nink, to stop like that, which I was proud of him for as well. I shook off all of those thoughts at the same time how ever, as I heard one of Lunks team mates begin to speak back to Lunk, after what he had just said, and I listened to him at the same time too.
"We are sorry! We just weren't thinking! We were just so excited that we had just scored!" He said back to Lunk. I looked at Lunk for a few moments, as I saw him begin to laugh a bit, which confused me. I then realized that it was a bit of a sarcastic laugh how ever.
Lunk stared at the dragon that had just spoken to him, as I saw quite the angry look on his face, which told me that he did not seem to find this any sort of funny at all. I was not sure what was going on with him, as he did realize that this was just a friendly game right?
It was as if he wanted to see me fail, to prove to all of the dragons in the tribe, that I was not the dragon of destiny, and that I could not step up in situations such as these. It kind of got me a bit angry as well, as I turned my head away frim him, as I did my best to just ignore what was going on, on his side.
I turned my head to Penta, as I saw her staring at me, as it was clear that she was paying no sort of attention as to what it was that they were talking about over there. I felt as I should be doing the same as her too. I then nodded to her at the same time too, to let her know that I had her attention.
She blinked a few times, as I could see a bit of a guilty look on her face, which I was not so sure as to what it was for. I blinked back a few times, as after a little while longer as well, she eventually nodded right back to me too, as she then began to speak. I listened to what it was that she had to say to me, as I kept my eyes wide open.
"Seems like they are having a good time... So... What are the plans for the next attack? How are we going to score again? There surely is no way right?" She asked me. I looked at her for a few moments, as it was a lot of questions that she had asked all at once, and I was not sure how to respond to any of them either.
The truth was, I was not sure how it was that we were going to be able to score again. I knew that it was just pure luck, as I had kind of felt like I had cheated a bit, just based off of the fact that they were not paying all that much attention on what it was that had been going on.
I blinked a few times, as I then shook my head, and I looked over to the other side, as I squinted my eyes. I started to think of a plan through my head, but my brain kind of felt a bit dead, as I was not sure how there was going to be any sort of way possible, for us to get back in to that circle.
All 3 of us as well, as I felt like it would be nearly impossible for even 1 of us to get in, now that they had a bit of a more in detail plan. I turned my head over to Lunk, as I saw him still arguing with his team mates, after the bit of a big mistake that they had just made.
I stared for a few moments, as my brain still felt a little bit dead. That was when, all of the sudden, a light seemed to flicker in my head. I realized that none of the dragons had their eyes on what was going on right now, as they were all too distracted by the fact that Lunk was speaking to them.
I turned my head back to Penta, as a bit of a smile began to crack on to my face. I was about to call over Nink, but he was too far away, and I was not sure how much time we had left. I also did not want to get the other teams eyes on what it was that we were planning on doing at the same time too.
I looked at Penta for a little while longer, as I saw her head tilted, as it was clear that she was confused on why it was that I might be smiling. I nodded to her, as she squinted her eyes at me, but in the end, she nodded back to me as well, as she listened to what it was that I had to say to her.
"This is the perfect time for us to go... They are distracted!" I said to her, as I turned my eyes right back over to all of the dragons that were over there, as I saw that Lunk was still giving them a bit of a stern talking to. I knew that we had to do this now, rather than later too.
Penta looked at me for a few moments, as it was clear that she was a bit confused on what it was that I had meant by it. I was a bit lost on what it was that she did not understand on what it was that I had said to her, as I squinted my eyes at her, at the exact same time as well.
Penta stared at me for a little while longer, as she too turned her head over to the dragons on the other side, as she realized that I might in fact be right with the plan that I had just thought of. I felt a bit excited for it, as I had my paws, and my head held high, as I was ready to go at any moment now, before it might in turn be too late.
I saw Penta from the corner of my eye, show a bit of a guilty look on her face once again, which I was a bit confused on what it was that was going on with her, as I turned my eyes back over to her. She dipped her head a bit low to the ground for some odd reason or another, as she finally decided to speak back to me, which I listened to what it was that she had to say to me as well.
"Isn't that kind of cheating? What we did back there felt like it was cheating... They aren't paying any sort of attention... We are at least bending the rules, surely right?" She asked me. I looked at her for a few moments, as I then began to understand why she had such a guilty look on her face, just a few moments ago.
I blinked a few times, as I felt like she had a bit of a fair point. It did kind of feel like cheating, as to what it was that we were doing. I dipped my head to the ground, as I kind of felt bad for it. I knew that cheating was not really a thing in war, but at the same time as well, this was just a little bit different than actual war.
Lunk did not seem to be bothered by it at all how ever, as he felt more like it was his own team mates fault, rather than us perhaps cheating. I was not sure what he would think about what it was that I was planning on doing next how ever.
I blinked a few times, as I felt like there was no harm in at least trying. If he ruled in unfair, than we could just say that the point did not count. I stood there for a few moments, as I looked hack at the circle, that was a fair ways away from us, as I saw 2 other big branches in the middle of it, just like the ones that were on our side.
I shook my head a little bit, as I then began to realize that we were not cheating at all by what it was that we were doing. Most of the time the teams did not speak to one another, until we got to the mid way point, I looked back over to Penta, as I then finally began to speak back to her as well.
"It is not against the rules... This is our only chance... It is clearly not half time..."
