Sister Rescue Mission

"Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

"Are you sure you can deal them alone?" Haneen asked probably for the millionth time.

"Yes, I can do it," I said with the same determination.

We reached the place. It was dark and sinister like I'd already thought. An abandoned place to be exact, that gangster vibe radiating which had no chance in altering my confidence but it was enough to make Haneen go all protective.

"But-"

"Yeah, I know," I sighed clutching my phone tightly in my hand as cold air swept past us, "They're dangerous"

"You can call the police, you know" he suggested, "They can take care of them"

"No, they won't believe me," I shook my head and took out the camcorder, "Even if they capture them, they'll easily get away with the lack of evidence. I should make some"

"You're gonna record everything, right?" he eyed the device in my hands.

"Obviously!" I chirped, "So, some instructions for you. Will you help me?"

"Of course, that's why I came remember?" he smiled widely standing still.

My eyes locked with Jimin's who was watching us intently and low-key looking out for any trespassers. My heartbeat wasn't normal even by thinking the aspect of something happening to my sister and I was extremely nervous plus anxious. But I couldn't show it in front of my fellow accomplice though Jimin saw right through it. He smiled softly.

My chest swelled up with emotions but I just silently nodded in his direction and averted my attention to an eagerly waiting Haneen.

"If I don't come out within 30 minutes, call the police," I said pulling on my hood, "If my sister come out alone, call the police, and if no one comes out, call the police"

"So, it's basically me calling the police," he remarked.

"Yes," I pocketed the camcorder and my phone. Seeing me preparing to go inside, Jimin came towards me, "The police station is only a couple of kilometers away from here, it'll take them at least 10 minutes to get here. Make sure you convince them properly"

"What should I say to them?" Haneen took out his phone.

"Anything," I shrugged, "As long as they're convinced. So, are you ready?"

"Yes, ma'am" he gave me a salute like a soldier.

Jimin chuckled at him.

"Best of luck!" he exclaimed.

"I don't need luck," I glanced at a smiling Jimin, "I already have it"

With that, I walked into the abandoned building. I ducked under the shutter while Jimin just passed through it. I looked up to see the place. It was indeed just like in Bollywood movies characterized by the illuminating yellow light bulbs and the stacks of wooden boxes up to the ceiling, the dusty floor projecting dust scattering every time I take a step.

I sneaked behind a stack of boxes and start moving around the place looking for any source of sounds. After a moment of stealthy hiding and pacing, we heard laughter coming from somewhere. Jimin grabbed my hand immediately, stopping me.

"I think you should stay here while I go take a look," he suggested.

"No, we should go together," I shook my head," I need to find a place to keep the camcorder"

Jimin sighed but walked ahead of me with a protective stance.

I just rolled my eyes and followed him further into the place where the bunch of laughter was coming from. As soon as we reached the place, I could make out three guys sitting on the floor and joking around. Leaning further into the empty place, I saw a guy lying on a worn-out sofa and playing on the phone. Jimin stopped me from leaning again and stepped out of my hiding place to get a better look at what's going on.

I saw him looking around and his gaze finally settling down at something right in the middle of the hall. I gave him a questioning look as he turned to me with a horrified expression.

"Liya's here," he breathed, "But...she's.." he trailed off.

I squinted my eyebrows and tiptoed to look through the stack of boxes and what I saw took the breath out of my lungs. Liya was tied to a chair right in the middle of the empty space, plaster on her mouth, and even though I couldn't see much I knew she was crying judging by her heaving chest. My heart clenched at the sight and my fist tightened with anger.

Jimin came towards my trembling form and squeezed my shoulder reassuringly. I looked at him as he kissed my forehead, smiling at me.

"We are gonna save her, okay?" he whispered rubbing circles on my arms, "We are gonna take her home, she'll be alright"

I nodded and composed myself to think about my plan.

I glanced at a guy walking towards her silently crying form and kneeling down beside her. He forcefully lifted her chin and made her look at him. That's definitely the spike head, John. He was whispering something in her ears and my blood was boiling seeing him touch her.

I forced myself to look around to place the camcorder so that everything'll be recorded. I finally got sight of a swaying chain bridge at the top right corner where everything could be possibly seen. I glanced at Jimin and gestured towards the place.

"Can you teleport there and keep this there?" I whispered to which he nodded and immediately vanished from my sight.

I watched as he placed the device securely in the exact place and giving me a thumbs up to which I nodded.

"Poor girl," I heard a guy chuckling, "She is trapped here"

"Mm...should've thought before lashing out on him like that," someone agreed.

"She bought her own fate," that was the crackling voice of John," She can never escape from me"

"You got that wrong there, buddy," I said out loud and stepped out from my hiding place startling the living daylights out of them all.

I sensed Jimin appearing right beside me, glaring at them.

Everyone's attention was on me.

"Who the hell are you?" a guy with a crooked nose asked.

"Mm...nice question" I hummed.

"What is she doing here?" John growled as I got a glimpse of a shocked Liya behind him, "I thought you closed all the doors, Peter?"

"Unfortunately no," I said my face with a smirk.

"Wait," now John frowned, "I've seen you somewhere. You're her friend, aren't you?"

"Wrong, wrong, wrong," I gave them a sympathetic face then a sinister smile, "That's my little sister right there," all of them gasped as I waved enthusiastically at Liya, "Hey, Liya!"

"Is she a psychopath?" I heard a whisper.

"I can be one. Do you want me to?" I turned to them with a wink.

"So, you're here to rescue her from here, huh?" John crossed his arms and smirked.

"Obviously! Glad you understood!" I clapped my hands together, "So, how about you release her?" I gave him a sweet fake smile.

Diverting the victims by convincing them that you're weak, that's what I'm doing right now. They won't expect the blow and that's when you strike. Currently waiting for the chance is how I describe my case.

"You think it's that easy?" one of them chuckled while the others laughed doubling over.

"Yep!" I'm close. I signaled Jimin from the corner of my eyes to do his job.

"Did you seriously think you, a girl, can take her from here, from all of us?" a guy with a red cap asked eyeing me from head to toe.

I tsked and smiled, "Exactly" my eyes followed Jimin who was now behind Liya.

"Girls these days think they can do anything" John pinched his nose shaking his head dismissively.

"Oh, they don't think they can do anything," I cracked my knuckles, "They can"

"Pfft, you're gonna fight us?" all of them snickered.

"If you want me to," I shrugged.

"Oooh..okay," John cooed, "Let's see!"

The guy with the crooked nose came forward with a smirk. My expression darkened void of any emotions but a cold and intimidating stare, not even a sign of smiles from before. His smirk faltered at my deadly look as he shifted his demeanor a little. I watched intently as he stepped towards me and studied his position. He's going to take it low.

He lunged towards me with a punch which I duck and caught hold of his wrist, squeezing it making him wince. I twisted his arm behind his back making him scream causing others to back away in fear. He tried to get me with his other hand which I avoided and kicked on his shin. I heard a crack and I knew I'd broken a bone successfully. I don't deal with a person twice.

I stepped over his painfully twisting and shrieking form towards the other terrified guys with the same dark look. They staggered and backed away but three guys except John decided to attack me together. They ran towards me with a war scream and I ducked them all. Twisting around I avoided a kick while I landed a punch on one's chest and shoulder blade. The other guys tried to grab me but I turned around with me successfully landing a hard punch on his nose, he staggered clutching his bloody nose but I slammed him to the floor and twisted his leg making him scream like the latter.

When I stood back up someone grabbed me by my waist from behind, trapping my arms. The other guy stood in front of me was ready to punch but I avoided the punch at the very last-minute instead it landed on the guy holding me. I kicked the guy in front of me where the sun doesn't shine causing him to double over with a gasp. I got hold of the pinky fingers of the guy behind me and pried it open, he immediately released his grip around me with a hiss. I turned around and slammed both of my hands on the sides of his head. His eyes rolled inside his skull and he collapsed.

"Equilibrium damaged," I waved at the collapsed guy.

I turned around hearing a swish. The guy from before had stood up somehow, still bending over, he had decided to give me a punch but no luck. I pouted playfully and grabbed hold of his shirt and raised a fist.

"The hotspot is still active, huh?" I smirked, "How about a lock now, mm?" he looked at me confused but before he could even react, I planted two of my fingers deep into his tummy finding a certain spot, and twisted it. I heard a gasp from him as he hit the floor like a statue. I smirked and thanked my doctor uncle for that tip, an ayurvedic tip actually.

"Hey, y-you think you can get away like that?" I turned around to see a nervous John standing in a karate position.

I huffed in anger but I rolled my eyes.

"What?" he asked fidgeting in his place.

I saw my sister sitting on the chair with a scared expression completely free from ropes around her with Jimin by her side. I guess, he can't do anything more without my help. Right, I've to distract this bustard to help her.

"You little jerk had the audacity to touch my sister, huh?" I cracked my sour neck with steam blowing off my entire body.

"She b-broke up with me," he tried to reason as we started circling around in a circle with my cold eyes solely on him and his movements. He'd some background in fighting I can say judging by the position he's taken.

"That's not a reason to kidnap her, you trashbag," I decided to go forward to land a punch.

I believe he didn't see that coming as he groaned in pain at that. He hastily tried to punch me but I narrowly avoided and twisted around to grab his hair and land a punch on his jaw plus slammed him against the stack of the boxes which later toppled down on him.

I ran towards my sister and yanked the plaster away from her mouth, throwing off the loose ropes around her too. She immediately hugged and sobbed into me. I held her trembling form and caressed her hair.

"S-Sister, I was s-so s-scared," she cried out loud.

"It's okay, it's okay," I rubbed her shoulder comfortingly, "I'm gonna get you outa here,"

I broke the hug and cupped her tear-stained face, "You've to run when I say, okay? A friend of mine is standing outside, he'll take care of you, hm?" I explained urgently.

"But what about yo-"

"There's no time for that" I cut her off hearing the movement of boxes behind me, "Now go!"

"But-"

"I said GO!" I shouted pushing her towards the entrance.

She was limping a little and was slow. She won't make it that way.

I immediately turned to Jimin who was looking at her with the same expression as me. We exchanged looks but the sound of a shuffling of boxes caught my attention and when I turned a box was flying my way, it was too close to block or avoid. Jimin swiftly appeared before me and blocked the box with his hands, saving me from the impact.

I knew Jimin was trained in several martial arts for over eight years including kendo and taekwondo, which he achieved a black belt in but I couldn't let him fight alongside me because of the camera. We don't want any paranormal activity caught in it, right?

I saw John gaping at the supposedly floating box. Jimin threw it away and turned to me as I nodded at him saying I was okay.

"Wha-" John was still in a daze.

My chance!

I walked past Jimin towards him rolling up my sleeves and throwing a punch to his face. He recovered quickly and attempted to throw kicks and punches which I avoided narrowly. Only when Liya's out, Hanen will call the police, the time limit has not come yet so that's the only way.

"Jimin!" I shouted dodging a punch, "Take her out of here"

"But Mia-"

"No time," I was thrown to the floor as I huffed to get up, "Haneen has to call the police. She should be there for that. Take her" I karate kicked square on his chest toppling him over.

"Mia, you-"

"JUST DO WHAT I SAY" I yelled frustratedly as I threw punches at the guy.

"What are you talking about?" John spit out blood from his mouth and smirked at me, "I love your sister and this's what I get, huh?" he stood up hissing in pain, "First, heartbreak, and now the wrath of her sister?"

"I admit she's a playgirl," I panted not letting my guard down, "You should've thought better before dating her, bro" I tsked before pacing towards him.

"Yeah, my fault," he sighed as I punched him again, "I trusted her," he said as he slammed me against a container box. I hissed but refused to show any weakness as I kicked him in the shin.

"That's your problem," I yeeted blood from my knuckles.

I was gonna go at him again but the slamming of something on the back of my head stopped me. I ignored the immense pain shooting through me, seeing the smirk on John's face. I swirled around and faced my next victim. It was the guy with a crooked nose who backed away seeing my extra dark expression. I caught him by his hair before he could run away and slammed him against the wall hard enough for him to lose consciousness.

I turned around hearing the police siren, staggering a little with the pain shooting up again. I felt something oozing down from my scalp as I touched the place hissing in pain. I brought my hand before my eyes and saw thick blood. My vision blurred as I saw John getting away staggering towards a door.

He can't get away.

I gritted my teeth and squat down on the floor with immense pain. I hissed and felt the knife which I'd kept in my socks. I folded down my sock and got out the sharp tilted knife. I looked at John through a blurred vision and aimed the knife at his leg. I believed I could reach the target precisely.

I aimed amidst the swaying of my body. I threw it right when I heard footsteps and it hit perfectly on his right leg making him scream in pain and fall on the bare floor.

A small smirk formed on my lips as I leaned against the wall near me, my eyes slightly starting to close and blood flowing down my neck in thick streams.

The last thing I remembered before blacking out and hitting the floor was the horrified expression of Jimin running towards me, his mouth moving.

"Mia!"
