Chapter 4.

•Overhaul's POV•

~A few days later~

I found myself just waiting, waiting for Y/N to come back. She hasn't for a few days now. My alliance with Shiguraki has been going smoothly, as expected, since the day we formed it. He came to visit once again, though this time, not about the work ahead of us.

"Overhaul.. I hear you've been working alongside a hero.. A pro hero.." Shigaraki said, raspily, as he sat down opposite me. He was scratching his neck, although I still hadn't found out the reason as to why.

"Who gave you such information?" I finally said after a little hesitation.

"Oh, you know.. A little birdie told me.." I could tell his mouth was slowly forming a smirk behind the hand of a mask. I could only imagine the amount of germs the mask-hand had upon it.

"That little birdie must just be trying to screw up the alliance. I suggest you trust your partner upon this mission, and keep your eyes on the prize rather than false rumours." I said as I leaned slightly closer, the itching upon his neck only grew more frantic from that point.

"What if I told you that, said birdie, is the pro hero?" As he said this, I could feel my face's colour drain and my eyes widened a fraction. Before I errupted into an outburst of manic laughter.

I could feel Shigaraki watching me, with overflowing confusion at this sudden action. I slowly rose from the sofa and walked over to the steel door, opening it.

"It was great seeing you again, and talking of.. Irrelevant matters, Shigaraki." I watched as he simply nodded and walked out.

Y/N would never tell him, never. Although, she was acting strangely the other day. I was shocked, to say that least, at her sudden outburst of violence. She was normally more obedient and quiet. I wonder what has got her suddenly changing her attitude.

I walked to the back of the room and went through a cabinet, to find Y/N's hero file.

"Ah, perfect." I flicked through the pages. "Shockwave, huh."

Y/N has given me the file to keep it hidden from any other villain from finding it, although also gave me strict instructions not to read it. I found myself laughing again. She's so naive.

•Y/N POV•

I found myself daydreaming at work, a well-known café by the name of, "Sakura's Café". It was nice, it had small, potted cherry blossom trees on either side of the front door and low hanging baskets filled with blue delphiniums to contrast it.

The seating was low, like a beanbag, although square and refined. The tables were just as low. I continued to daydream, as today wasn't one of the busier days and I didn't find myself doing anything.

I knew I was in for it if I went back, though I couldn't bring myself to go back to that maze of a base. I guess you could say I was afraid, although who wouldn't be afraid of some sadistic villain who has the quirk of Overhaul? It was surely one of the most powerful, maybe even stronger than the new top hero's quirk.

Beep~

But if I never go back, does this make it the end of our.. Odd relationship? I had been thinking about this, but I really hadn't braced myself for that kind of impact yet.

Beep~

What about Kai? Was he ready for it? What if he's just using me for information? I mean, this isn't the first time I've been paranoid of such a thing and it definitely won't be the last, but-

"F/N-chan? Is that your watch?" My good friend Yanaki asked me, oh crap! I didn't hear the beeping, and as I looked at my watch, the villain was a high-level threat again!

"Thanks, Yanaki-chan! I have to go now, but I'll cover the night shift later!" I grabbed my trench coat, and ran out.

"Wait, wha-" Yanaki shouted, although I was long-gone by the time I could answer. Though, maybe wearing wedges today was a bad idea.
