Caila

"So, you think you can beat Caila?" Eos asked, walking beside the girl. It was their usual morning stroll, but their destination was at the academy. Leroy was at her other side, and the twins were walking behind them. "What? You think she can beat me?" She challenged. Eos just shook his head giving up on waring the girl. "Do you even know what the contest is about?" Primo asked whilst yawning. "Do I need to?" The four sighed at her question. "Of course you don't." Aki jokingly said. Eos smacked him at the head, just enough for it to hurt but not cause any damage. "Don't make her even more cocky!" The gruff boy chided. "Don't be such a brute!" Aki whined as he tried to mend the spot that hurt by rubbing it. "I second on that." Leroy said candidly, raising his pointer finger in agreement. "They don't." Eos gestured to the two, Primo and Azeria, both of them yawning constantly and rubbing their eyes. "Why wouldn't they?" Leroy asked, both hurt and irritated. "Because sometimes your jokes are lame or inappropriate." Azeria answered for Eos. "So, we need Eos to stop you both from being embarrassments." Primo added before grabbing the eyedrop from his bag. "Shut up." Leroy huffed, looking away from the two. "What time did you two sleep anyway?" Aki asked, changing the subject. "4 or 5." The pair said at the same time. "That can kill you, y'know?" Eos asked, concerned for the two.

Since they were kids, Primo and Azeria were sleeping all day and playing at night. Sometimes they even slept through classes in grade school. But now Eos was curious if they even sleep anymore. It was 7A.M and they even needed time to dress and bathe themselves, add the breakfast. Knowing Azeria, it takes her a whole hour to prepare for school. And Primo, Eos was asking himself if his friend did sleep at 4 or if he just dozed off at the time and continued on playing his video games until his alarm went off. "See you at the ceremony." He heard Leroy's voice say. He realized they were already at their building. The twins nodded as a goodbye to the two as they went their separate ways. "Ceremony?" He asked the twins, not knowing why the welcoming ceremony was at the second day of school. "Uh, yeah. There was a problem, our parents couldn't make it yesterday." Aki explained, his jolly attitude slightly becoming dull. Eos just gave a nod, but the heavy tension in the air stopped him from raising his head, eyes focused on the tiled floors of their school.

"Why is our welcoming ceremony at the second day?" Azeria asked, looking at Leroy with their hands stuffed in their pockets. "Ask your bestfriend." Leroy said with menace in his tone, making the girl confused as she looked at him. "What's your problem?" She inquired, her brows creasing at him. "Primo." He said flatly. Azeria couldn't stop herself from laughing at his answer. "You're jealous?" She asked, almost not understandable since her laughter was coming out while asking. "You're calling me pathetic in your head. aren't you?" He asked with a sigh, making the girl laugh more. "You all have your pathetic sides for me, don't worry." She joked, patting his back lightly. "Sometimes I see you as Satan's sister, you know that?" He'd already given up on the pent up envy he had earlier, knowing the she would just dismiss it. "Then you're friends with a devil." She said, going in front of the boy to give him a wink just before entering their classroom.

"Do you think their parents are okay?" Leroy asked her, changing the subjects. No one was at the room, probably because they were always earlier than everyone else whenever they went to school altogether. "Not our business." Azeria reminded him, sitting at the back of the class. "They're our friends." He argued, taking the seat beside her. "Yeah, and their parents aren't." Leroy cringed, not understanding how the screws in her head were turning. She sighed once she the expression on his face. "Look, our job is to make them feel okay, someone to confide to. We're not entitled to know what's going on with them." She explained her self. Leroy's face went back to stoic while hearing what she had to say. "So let's just change the subject!" She said in a strangely jolly tone.

Curious on why her attitude changed immediately, Leroy's eyes followed where Azeria was looking. "Chaos." He said absentmindedly while looking at the girl at the doorway. "No shit." Azeria breathy laugh. "Ze-ze!"ay The girl greeted, marching to the two immediately with a big smile on her face. "Yo." Azeria replied, smirking at the girl. "You shouldn't greet your cousin like that!" Leroy swore he could hear the pout in that sentence. "Trust me Caila, that's the best I can do for you." Leroy slightly chuckled at his friend's passive-aggressiveness. "It's 8." Leroy announced, his eyes on his watch. "Come on." Azeria grabbed his wrist. Leroy slightly winced at how tight her grip was. "Hope you don't trip along the way." She gave Caila a toothy grin before walking away, dragging Leroy away with her.

"Or I hope." She sighed once they were out of the room, letting go of the boy's wrist. Leroy quickly grasped his own wrist with his hand, looking at the red mark Azeria left on it. "I think you do." He said, still examining his wrist. "Sorry." She said and started walking to the gymnasium, Leroy followed behind her. "Think of the bright side, her being there means you can observe her weaknesses and strengths." He said with a smirk. Azeria cringed at his, so called, bright side. "You think I'll really devote time to look at her?" She asked in an irritated voice. "If you want to win!" he argued, making her cringe even more. "That's pathetic. I can win without needing to even give her a side glance." She said, her face now stoic. "Everything's pathetic for you." Leroy mumbled.
