Leroy

"Well it's not my fault everything's pathetic." She rolled her eyes at him. "Not everything's pathetic, y'know." Leroy said with a sigh, placing his hand at the back of his head as they entered the gym. "That means you have no taste." Eos said behind them, startling the two. "Why're you guys fighting over what's pathetic or not?" Aki asked, his right brow raising curiously. "Caila's in our class." Leroy shortly explained while looking at Azeria's bummed out expression. "Shouldn't you have known that yesterday?" Primo inquired. "No, we couldn't have. She needs to make everything about her special and a surprise." Azeria used a high pitched voice at the last sentence, mocking her cousin's. The four gave a slight chuckle at this. "Why are you so irritated by her anyways? She's like the second you, but just less intimidating." Eos asked. Their group stopped at the front of the crowd, wanting front row to the ceremony. "Kindergarten, she copied what I wore. Grade school, she copied how I spoke and moved. She did a shitty job at copying my attitude though." She massaged her temples, trying to relieve the stress caused by the pitiful memories. "Then middle school, she blamed me for being better than her. And now, she's being passive-aggressive. It's sad, and pathetic." She said with an evident cringe on her face. Her face crumpled even more when she heard Leroy's attempt of a joke. "Sadetic."

"That's exactly what you are." Eos said, making him and and the two beside him chuckle. Azeria's face became blank, no emotions evident. She placed her pointer finger on her lips, shushing the four from their banters. "What?" Primo asked, grabbing her elbow, making her look at him with the same dazed face. Azeria had her lips parted, her normally hooded eyes, alike with Primo's, were slightly widened. Primo's eyes were filled with question and familiarity, inspecting her movements as his mind was trying to make something of it. Her eyes reverted back to what they looked as to before as her mouth closed. She freed her elbow from Primo's grasp and turned to Leroy. "Shouldn't you be on stage?" She asked, her right brow rising. "What?" Three of them questioned back, confused on what she meant.

Only Primo had the realization of their fault. "Shit." He said with a breathy laugh. The four looked at him, the males' faces were dumbfounded while Azeria's was unimpressed as she directed her attention to him, crossing her harms across her chest. "I wasn't in on it." He lifted both his hand to signify his innocence. Eos' eyes widened for a moment and instantly went back to normal again. Azeria noticed this, pivoting her head towards his direction. "Eos?" To her misery, the boy mirrored Primo's actions, but his eyes directed to the two males who's backs were turned on them. "Dopey combo, spill." Their shiver was evident once they heard Azeria. The two snickered at both the shiver and the nickname. "What's there to spill?" Leroy asked, turning to her with his hand scratching the back of his hand, his jitters were obvious. "If you're gonna lie, don't. Just hide. Your whole body trembles like there's some earthquake when you attempt to." She said whilst walking towards Aki, his back still facing her. Leroy's shoulders just slumped in defeat and silently prayed for Aki. "Aki Mendez Kamisaki, why isn't Leroy backstage preparing for his speech?" He slowly turned to her, shuddering slightly at the intimidation of her aura. His eyes were hesitant to look at her but it eventually looked, he noticed it wasn't on him, but on whatever was behind him. His eyes followed hers. He gulped, hard. "And why the hell is Caila going backstage??" Her eyes narrowing as she gave Aki an icy glare. Her voice booming with authority, demanding of an explanation. She grabbed Aki's tie.

"He didn't run for student council, so Caila won for president last school year." Aki explained briskly but still comprehensible. "Oh." She let go of Aki's tie, letting him stumble. Her face becoming the same bored one as it's always been. "Sorry." She offered her hand for him to stand up, causing the others', and Aki's, faces to have the same surprised look. Aki took it with a little hesitance, unfamiliar to the new gesture she's shown. Only Primo was looking at her with a smile, though askew. "What did Japan do to you? Did they beat the attitude out of you?" Leroy inquired, his eyes watching in amazement as she pulled Aki up. She rolled her eyes at him. "Why didn't you go for president anyway? Y'know you'll win." She asked. They started forming multiple single files, her and Leroy in the same one with her in front of him. The three others were beside theirs, Eos, Primo and Aki. "I'm too busy for that." He said with a dismissive tone. Azeria scoffed at his answer, finding it ridiculous. "Busy with your dressing up and posing?" She mocked. She knew she hit a nerve, but she also knew he needed a realization on what he wants. "Stop being an ass." She felt Leroy's glare on her back, making her smile slightly. She was relieved he wasn't a pushover she thought he was. "If you stop being some faux prissy." She heard him grunt.

He knew her words were true. He couldn't argue with her without having to lie. His life was a more than enough deceit as it is. "Just shut up about it." He looked away, trying to distract his thoughts. "Wimp." Azeria said, popping the 'p' at the end. Leroy's face winced at the insult, but he couldn't deny it. "Azeria." Eos reprimanded. She just shrugged it off and stayed silent, waiting for the ceremony to start and for the awkward tension to crumble. Though it seems that she just dug up what they hidden, and it wasn't some precious token alike to some time capsule. It was like digging up a dead body they murdered to surrender themselves to the authorities.
