Hunting for a Snake

Akari's POV

I was angry and hurt at the same time. I rushed down the road avoiding anyone outside at the hour while I was trying my best to not cry. Stopping on the one place I though about I sat down near the grave stone. "Hey dad, I know I haven't been coming by a lot." I said and kept going telling him about the fight me and Kakashi had. "I don't know what to do." I finished wiping off the last of my tears. I once again felt a chakra while exiting the cemetery and I turned around on a defence position only to see an ANBU. "Akari san, Hokage sama has requested your presence." The ANBU said and I nodded in reply.

I walked to the tower since it was nearby. "Come in." The words were heard when I knocked the large wooden doors. "You asked for me." I said and saw that the only person in the room other that lord third was Ibiki. "Anko felt Orochimaru's presence in the village, we were wondering if you did too Akari, since you have high sensory skills." Ibiki said. "I actually did, but the presence was well hidden." I said and lord third nodded. "Akari, you have a mission in ANBU, I need you to lead a team in search of Orochimaru." Lord third said and I nodded understanding.

I left the office heading straight towards the ANBU head quarters. "I will be your captain for this mission, we will split into two teams, one team will go into the forest of death while the other team would search the outskirts of the village." I explained to the ANBUs in front of me. "Yugao will handle team two." I said and she nodded as we split and I entered the forest with my team.

We were turning empty with the search for four days until I felt a strong KI coming from the left the side of us. "Cat." I said to the Hyuga member of our team and she activated her Byakugan looking around the forest.

Landing on the ground I froze up seeing who was in front of us. "Ah, you found tobi, tobi just looking for his senpai." The man said in a childish voice but I didn't move knowing who this person truly was. "Who are you?" I said releasing some of my KI. "Tobi or not tobi." He said gleefully and I balled my hands in annoyance. I don't have time to deal with this idiot. I thought. "Captain, an unfamiliar chakra is approaching us." Rabbit told me and I saw the person in front of me disappear in a swirl. "Well, well, look who we have here." I heard Orochimaru's voice before he landed in front of us in just seconds. "Send a signal to the other team." I said as we all moved into a offensive position.

"Ahh, this shall be fun, even though I might be a little battered by the young Uchiha's team." Orochimaru said and realisation hit me. He's dead if he hurt any of them. I thought and I punched the ground cracking it into bits.

Every one of the ANBU jumped to higher ground to avoid being hit by the attack. "Now." I shouted jumping into higher ground and some of the ANBU blew out many styles of fire balls. "Wind style: Immense breakthrough." I said adding more fuel into the fire. "I am quite surprised that you thought that you could burn me into crisps, Akari chan." Orochimaru taunted and it was starting to make me lose it. "Scatter." I shouted as Orochimaru launched his attack. "Big mistake." I mumbled to myself realising that I was alone in front a Sannin.

"I see that you are trying your hardest not to use your kekkei genkai." He said smirking. I straightened up before gathering as much as chakra I could creating a chakra shield around me. Orochimaru threw a shuriken at me and I moved closer not even trying to avoid the jutsu I knew too well. "Shuriken shadow clone jutsu." He said and many of the shuriken came at me but fell to the ground without making a scratch on me. "Spiritual transformation." I said and rose up from the ground making hand signs. "Chidori." I shouted zooming through the air until I felt my hand pierce his chest.

I pulled my hand out and to my surprise Orochimaru turned into a thousand snaked that slithered away. I cursed tightening my fists so much that my palms started to bleed. I saw a bird in the air and realised that we were called back to the hokage's office. I collected my team and saw that most of them weren't injured just a few scratches. We reported in and the others were dismissed while I waited. "Is there something wrong Akari?" Lord third asked and I shook my head. "I need permission for something." I said.

Kakashi's POV

It's been four days since Akari walked out of the house, and I was starting to really believe that she left me. I walk towards the tower bumping to a cheerful gai on the way. "They are doing a preliminary round since so many genin passed." Kurenai said as soon as we entered and I looked around the room. My eyes landed on a too familiar pale blue haired woman. "Can we talk?" I asked her quietly as to not attract any attention. "There is nothing to talk about." Akari's cold voice cut through me like a kunai. "Kari, please." I said not caring how pathetic I sounded. "It's over Kakashi, what's said is said, so forget it." She snapped at me before walking to the kids.

"Good luck Sasuke, go easy on your sharingan alright." Akari said after I spoke to Sasuke about the curse mark. Sasuke's fight ended in a win and I went down to him, moving Sasuke to a room on the lower floor to seal his curse mark. "Now this is going to hurt, but hold still." I said drawing the seals on Sasuke's back.

Sasuke fell unconscious in seconds after I finished the sealing. I sighed about tot bend down to pick Sasuke up but stopped feeling a chakra behind me. This day just got worse for me. I thought sighing and I quickly turned around to come face to face with Orochimaru. "Kakashi Hatake, I wouldn't be amazed if you knew funinjutsu." Orochimaru said emerging from the shadows.

Akari's POV

He'll be alright Sakura, don't worry about it." I said comforting the frightened girl. "Just do your best, remember the training." I said showing her that she was next to fight. "I will, Akari sensei." She said running down into the arena.
