My training in finding out what elements I could use was inevitably going to begin today after what I had shown at the course yesterday. I could tell that they were excited to train me because they couldn't stop making a fuss about what I had done yesterday, and they kept going on about it in the morning as well. I just wanted a peaceful morning, but they wouldn't stop harassing me.
All they were doing was trying to get me to tell them what I did to use wind magic without an incantation already and if I used some secret trick. I personally thought that incantations were just something people used to start getting the hang of magic, so I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but I was obviously incorrect about that.
They also asked what type of training I did to have so much control over the wind already. I couldn't tell them because I didn't do any training. It was just a theory I had that I wanted to put to the test, and I was luckily correct in what I thought. I probably should have withheld that part because it just got them even more hyper and annoying.
We started my training pretty much as soon as we could but as they were about to give me their first instructions on what to do my sister just remembered something. They had to get the orb that would tell us which elements I could use otherwise if they kept trying to get me to do fire magic even though I had no affinity for it then that would be wasted time.
Garv went to his suitcase, which was more of a box, but he called it a suitcase, and pulled out a small orb and a stand on which the orb was placed. We decided to do it in the basement because we had to see all the colours which the orb showed to tell us what elements I could control. White being wind, red is fire, blue is water, and brown is earth.
We couldn't really do it in the living room as it was too bright, and we wouldn't be able to clearly view what colours were on show. As to why we couldn't just block out the windows I do not know. Probably because that would have been too much effort, but that question will go unanswered.
We set up a table downstairs to place the orb and its stand and get some chairs to sit on during the process. It was supposed to be a quick test to check my elements, so the chairs were pretty useless bot no matter, they were of use to let me get a break from the harassment I had been receiving all morning.
We all sit down on the chairs around the table. Mae tells me to place both my hands on the orb and just close my eyes for a couple seconds. I follow the orders that had just been given and opened my eyes when Mae said that I could.
We watched as the orb started to float up into the air. Me being my oblivious self, thought that was part of the normal process but from the expressions on Garv and my sisters faces would indicate that I couldn't be more wrong. The orb came to a stop in the middle of the air and started to shine blindingly brightly. We all turned our faces away and covered our eyes from the sheer light that was emanating off of the orb.
As the orb dimmed down to a suitable level that we could take a look we turned around to see the elements that were being shown. The orb still in the air might I add had 5 different colours. I thought that there only 4 colours, where did the 5th one come from? I was extremely confused and the faces on Mae's and Garv's faces actually made sense to me now.
They were in utter disbelief that a 5-year-old not only has all 4 of the original elements, he also had some other unknown element that they had never witnessed or heard about before. It came as some shining gold colour. At first, I was thinking maybe it might have been dark magic but then that wouldn't make any sense because it is gold.
I am going to have to do a lot of research about this to find out.
Wait!
The orb started to shine again. This time it was a lot brighter, the brightness burnt my hand a bit as it was close to the orb as I was trying to inspect it a bit closer. All 3 of us got onto the ground and curled up into a ball, not wanting to be burned any more than I already have. Garv made a fire shield around us to protect us, not that it helped much because that was also very hot.
The orb was shining for a solid 5 minutes and when it finally went away my sister stood there with a scared expression on her face. It was something like the one she made when she heard that dad had just died and how mother stood up and started to head towards the battlefield.
I knew something was up.
"What's up?" Garv asked Mae patting her on the back in an attempt to calm her.
"Look!" Mae answers while raising her arm to point towards the orb, her arm and voice shaking.
"No, it can't be, not your brother too." Garv returned the answer with just as much of a scared face as my sister now.
I proceed to look at the orb which astonishingly had another colour on it. It was black. I knew exactly what it was. It was the dark magic that my mother used to save everyone 4 years ago. I couldn't blame them for being so frightened at what they saw, but I for one wasn't. In fact, I was happy, not only did I have the black magic that easily destroyed those 3 dragons, but I also had all of the 4 original elements including one that even Garv and my sister hadn't known about.
I knew the trouble that came with using dark magic and that the user would die because of the sheer amount of power that came with it, but I didn't care. I knew I was special compared to everyone else on this world from being a reincarnated boy. There must be a reason that I had all of the elements including these 2 extremely rare ones. There had to be a meaning why I had been given this and sent to this world with this much power to top it all off.
All I knew is that I had black magic and I was going to make very good use of it no matter what my sister tells me. I'm going to use it and get my revenge.
