One After Another—Problems

Brooklyn's point of view:

"Actually... I heard from Felice, saying you likes me. Is it true, Ron?"

My eyes widened. I turned to Red, was about to pulled my hands when she tilted her head and blinked at me in a cute way.

"Are you jealous?" I shook my head almost immediately. But actually, I... "Then, don't look at me like that." She stated with a smirk.

"Is it wrong to look at my girlfriend?" I asked, furrowing my brows. She chuckled.

"You mean... The look as if you're trying to eat me alive?"

"That's how I look at you?" I lifted my brows in disbelief. Is that so?

She shrugged. "Yeah, like this..." She widened her eyes and her mouth wide open as she eyed me like she's about to eat me. It doesn't seems like she's shocked, it looks like she's mad at me.

"Okay, sorry. I don't know that I actually look at you like that." I apologized. She shook her head and turned back to Ronald.

"So... Ron?"

"Oh," Ronald smiled. "Whatever I tell you after this, don't avoid me."

"I promise," without wasting any time, Red answered immediately. It feels like Ronald is the most important person to her. Or is he?

"It's true. I like you. Not as a friend nor best friends but as a girl. A girl who's been with me since the first day I came here. I like you because you're the first person that's ever treat like I'm important for you."

She looked down. Even when I nudged her, she didn't look up. What's she's been thinking? Don't say... she wants to break up with me because of this?

I was about to speak when she interrupted me. What she said totally made me froze on my seat.

"Ronald... I'm sorry. I like you, too."

"Really?" Ronald smiled, a wide smile as if he won the first place in Red's heart. Yes, he won.

I forced a smile to both of them and decided to leave. I can't bear to hear whatever confessions she wants to say to Ronald. I'll take my time to get ready when it's time for her to ask me for breakups.

"Are you leaving?" Red asked as if nothing happened. I ignored her and walked away. I ignored her calls and got back to my office.

I thought that my second day of being in a relationship with Red will be good. But I was wrong. I'm totally wrong! Absolutely wrong!

I should've known when she decided to ask Ronald to join us for lunch. I should've known when she said she had things to say to Ronald. I should've known when she asked Ronald about his feelings for her. I should've known that she's not interested in me, at all.

I thought my second times being in a relationship will be the most memorable moments but I was wrong, yet again. Red doesn't like me, she likes Ronald, the friend she has since day one. I'm nothing but her employer.

I should've realised earlier about this matter yet I ignored all of this, thinking that she'll give us times. I should've realised earlier that she's just trying to be in a relationship with me, without any feelings. That's why she never really want to be seen by anyone nor be known as my girlfriend. I should've realised earlier, I should have.

"Brooker..."

The voice vanished my thoughts. I turned around and a loud sigh escaped my mouth.

"What are you doing here, Ariana?" I asked lazily. I don't have any energy left to chase her away. I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone right in this moment.

She sat on the couch, crossing her long and slim legs as she turned to face me with a wide smile.

"Guess what? Your mum agreed to let me get married with you!" She said excitedly with a mysterious smirk on her face.

"What did you said to her that she agreed to it?"

"Calm down, Brooker." She chuckled as she walked to me. Her hands moved from the chair to my chest as she brought her lips near to my ear, whispering seductively. "I told her that... I'm pregnant."

"What?!"

Because I'm too shocked, I stood up from my seat and it hits her, making her fell on the floor. I looked at her in disgust, with no hint of helping her.

"You're so cheap for using that trick, Ariana," I hissed.

She smiled and slowly stood up. She walked to me and put her hands on my chest as she stood closer to me that I could feel her hot breath on my neck. Her fingers playing with my tie as she looked up to me, smiling.

"Too bad... I'm really pregnant. With your baby." She whispered. She pulled away and walked to the couch.

She took out something like a file and handed it to me. I took it unwillingly which made her smile widened.

"What is this?" I asked as I observed every words written in the paper. It's the result paper for her... stating that she's really pregnant.

"You can tell by yourself, Brooker," she shrugged. She smiled as she grabbed her bag. "Don't forget to go to my boutique, Brooker. We should start our fittings for our wedding next week. See you tomorrow."

She walked to me and kissed my cheeks and before I could react, she laughed as she walked to the door. She did a little wave before disappearing before the door.

I wiped the part she just kissed and crumpled the paper she gave me, throwing it to the rubbish bin. I sat on my chair and closed my eyes.

Why'd things had to be so problematic right now? Is it because I met Red? Does it mean that I shouldn't meet Red because we're not meant to be?

Why'd I started giving up on Red? Do I really feel nothing towards her? Or was it because I knew she likes Ronald and not me? Or... was it because I'll get married with Ariana next week?

After all... I'll breakup with Red in no time so it's not a big deal if I get married with Ariana. Red won't even care about this so why'd I need to feel anxious about what she's thinking?

"Relax, Brooklyn. Red don't even care about you..." I mumbled.

"Who said?"
