Tea of the sage

"That didn't go very well..." Hunter said with a sigh as blood dripped from his mouth where his mother had hit him before pushing him away.

He had only wanted to say hi, maybe apologize, but she hadn't given him the chance before attacking him quickly, making him leave their "Sacred" place.

"It's... your own fault..." Sophie said shrugging and giving him a warm towel before stabbing her salad with a fork.

"Salad? Aren't you like... a crazy bitch who would even eat a person if they had enough meat on them? What happened?" Hunter asked surprised seeing his little sister, a girl who was very open about her taste, eating the salad she had always trashed on before.

Sophie stopped eating mid-bite and had a short distant look before biting into the crunchy lettuce and shrugging. "I just thought it tasted good now..." She answered looking down.

Hunter knew something was up but he didn't push it and instead grabbed his things and went to his old room, seeing everything was the same.

After unpacking and putting everything where it needed to go, He sat down on his bed, staring at the system and remembering the interaction with Delilah earlier.

"That couldn't have gone any worse..." Hunter said to himself as he covered his face and let out a sigh.

"Show me my new quests I guess..." Hunter said seeing the stats project in front of him. The daily quest had disappeared now, replaced with a new one, and also a new type of quest... a monthly quest.

[Daily Quest- Social Rej- Butterfly]

"Oh very funny, Just because you hate on me doesn't mean I'll hate on you System-Chan"

[Obj. 1: Don't ever say System-Chan again]

"Well, there goes that..."

[Obj. 2: interact with at least one new person each day]

[Penalty: -1 Masculinity]

[Monthly Quest: Did I hear someone say Party?!]

[Obj. 1: Throw a party with at least 5 other people showing up]

[Bonus: Get a girl with looks higher than 7 to come to the party]

[Bonus: Manage to at least kiss said, girl]

[Penalty: -2 Social Status]

[Reward: +1 Social Status]

[Bonus Reward 1: Gacha Ticket(Blue)]

[Bonus Reward 2: Gacha Save Ticket]

"Gacha Save ticket?... wait" Hunter widened his eyes. He thought Gacha Save would be his lifesaver, a power he'd be able to use as a true gamer, But The Gacha System had pulled him out of that fantasy.

The Gacha Save ticket granted 10 Gacha Saves. Right now Hunter had 0 Gacha Save tickets, meaning he couldn't even use the function of the system he wanted to use.

"Show me my stats... The tutorial is over so they only go up now right?" Hunter asked as his stats were projected, referring to the info that The System had given a day or so ago.

(Looks:5 ( You look the same but 5'10 now, congrats...)

'At least it's gone up

(Communication:3 (Good job kid, You've now talked to enough people to be able to talk to 2 people at once, I'm a proud mother...)

'Thanks, I guess...'

(Academics:3( I guess this is average for a middle schooler...)

'...'

(Talent:3(You're still untalented...)

' Whatever

(Confidence: 4( You are confident enough to be out and about during the day... you might even say a few words if people are unlucky...)

' I'm still tired of your shit system...'

(Social Status:3(People do know you exist)

'...'

(Luck:2 (Nice nice, roll some tickets...)

(Athletics:2(Good enough)

(Masculinity: 2( Since your tall enough you don't seem to be a girl... though your face is still cute like one...)

Hunter nodded at his risen stats and brought out the Golden Gacha Ticket from his inventory, at least this thing didn't make him have a ticket for it.

"I want to use this in... Items..." Hunter decided and in the next second the ticket disappeared in a flash of golden light.

"Come on Give me something good," Hunter said to the system crossing his fingers as the sound of a capsule dropping reached his ears and something shined in front of him, looking glorious and smelling... like Tea?

[Tea Of The Sage]- Forbidden Item

This tea when drank gives the user 12 hours in the safe realm

*Error*

Seeing the error message Hunter looked at the small pallet that had a tea set, in front of him, waiting to be put in his inventory or used.

'Should I?...' He thought to himself and, deciding to see what this Safe Realm was all about, grabbed the cup and took a small sip.

Instantly regretting the decision, Hunter churches his stomach as he flopped to the floor, feeling his entire body burning from the inside out...

...

Sophie wasn't the type to care about much, but she did care about her big brother. Even back in the day, she cared about him... up until he had killed Damien.

She could overlook it though, as their father had taught that death was something set in stone, something that couldn't be avoided. So she had forgiven him.

When told that he would come back she was excited, especially since their father announced he had unlocked his own power.

So, with a movie and a bag of healthy pop popcorn, she had walked over to Hunter's room, opened the door, and saw nothing, nothing except a small tea set sitting on the ground.

"Hm? where the hell did he go?" Sophie asked as she threw the items on the bed and picked up the tea. As she was going to set it on his dresser, something... called out for her to drink it... and subconsciously she did, only a sip.

The second she had some of the tea in her mouth she regretted drinking it, her entire body felt like it was being burned on the stake, causing her to flail on the ground as unimaginable pain coursed through her veins, so painful she couldn't even scream...

And so, The tea set was left, half-full sitting on the dresser, seemed both Sophie and Hunter would have a nice visit in The Sage Realm, a realm of impossible beings, magic, and mystery to be unveiled, and they had twelve hours in there...

...

"The hell are you doing here!" Hunter yelled seeing as his sister had fallen next to him just as he was starting to get his surroundings.

"You disappeared... wait... where are we?" Sophie asked looking around just as a shadow covered both of them, making them look up as a large thing in the sky, slowly drifted toward them...

(A/N: Do not worry! This does not mean Sophie can use the system, nor does it mean she can find out about it. The only reason she was able to see the tea was because of its properties, if Hunter wanted he can use things on other people, But they wouldn't be able to tell. She won't find out about the system either btw...)
