A Single Daffodil

“I-” Persephone’s voice was trembling. “What, what just-” Her head was going on and on in circles, confused by what had just happened. Theodosia looked away and opened the window of the purple-haired girl’s room. “I’m sorry.” She said before flying away.

“Did she-” She touched her lips with her fingers. And she flew away… Persephone curled herself into a ball, and as if on cue, her brothers appeared at her door, seeing their sister hugging her knees as if her boyfriend had broken up with her.

The eldest got out of the room and into the kitchen, the youngest sat beside her. “Are you ok?” She shook her head. “Where is she?” Persephone turned around. Her brother hugged her.
