I stumble backwards nearly tripping over myself bumping into a table. I start to get shaky and begin to hold myself on the table I almost knocked over. I don't remember having a blackout not to mention I don't know if I've had any more that I don't remember.
"Blackouts?" Kaiden asks but seems more like a statement.
"Yes, she used to get so panicked she would lose..control and have a blackout." Amara says with concern. "She usually doesn't get them anymore this started years ago, poor thing!"
"Amara I think I need to get home, I'm sorry I don't think I can stay for the whole show" I start to turn around embarrassed Amara basically told my deepest secret to a stranger.
"You shouldn't walk home by yourself Eve. I would walk you but I have the show. Maybe I can get someone here to bring you there."
"I can walk her." Kaiden suddenly says.
"It's okay real.." I start to say before Amara cuts me off.
"Yes! It's final, Kaiden's a gentleman, he can walk you over to your apartment." she says in agreement. "Then you can come back and finish the papers" she says to Kaiden with a brilliant smile.
"Okay I guess, it's just a ten minute walk from here" I say to Kaiden.
"I will call you later" Amara says while hugging me like it would be the last time.
I start walking toward the door when Kaiden moves past me to open the door. Brushing the side of my arm in the process. I get butterflies and look down blushing a little at what just a slight touch made me feel. I slide out onto the sidewalk and start making my way to the apartment. I glance at Kaiden who's beside me walking. I'm admiring his focused eyes. Those blue eyes. He seems deep in thought looking out into the street when he suddenly pushes me into one of the alleys.
