Chapter 22: Do you think I'm dying to stay with you?

Amara ignored his remark and asked, “Are we going to stay in one room?”

Before Aiden could reply she added, “I don’t want to stay with you.”

“Do you think I’m dying to stay with you?” Aiden’s tone was sarcastic.

“It seems so, isn’t that why you married me?” Amara countered back.

“You are giving yourself way too much credit Amara.” Aiden scoffed.

“Marrying me was your own choice. You chose to marry me to save your father. A thief, a cheater.”

Aiden rounded Amara and stood behind her. He bent down and lips touching her helix, “A cheater just like his daughter. A filthy crook.”

Amara turned around, her face red with burning anger, “My father is not a thief, he did no such thing. He’s clearly being framed.”

She jabbed her index finger at Aiden’s chest, “And you are a lousy man who is not able to find the real culprit.”

“I’m going to say this the last time, my dad did not steal anything from you.”
