Later in the evening did Amara realize why Aiden had left her alone in the house.
It had no lights. The power supply was there just no bulbs. He knew that she was terrified to stay in the dark alone yet he did this. She had realized this a bit too late when it was already dark outside.
Amara had wasted daylight huddled at the foot of the sofa crying at her fate.
Amara came to kitchen in search of some candles and found nothing. She carefully guided herself towards the stairs and went to her room. It was so dark that she couldn't even see her hands in front of her. She doesn't remember how many times she stumbled and fell over in search of her room. She literally crawled to her room, bumping her head against the wall or doors of locked rooms.
Her room was the only one which was unlocked and already had her belongings there.
