Amara held on to her saviour like her life depended on it.
“Oh my god, Amara, are you alright?”
Amara heard Kylie’s voice. She moved back to confirm that it was in fact Kylie who had saved her.
Looking at Kylie’s familiar face, brought a sense of relief in Amara’s heart and she hugged her tightly, not wanting to let go.
Kylie patted Amara’s back as she cried on her shoulder. “You have no idea how much I missed you.” Amara sniffed.
Kylie pulled back from her and examined her from top to bottom. “Are you hurt anywhere?
“No, I’m fine. Thank you for saving my life.” Amara was truly grateful for having a friend like her. She was always there whenever she needed her.
“Let’s go. I’ll you coffee.” Kylie offered smiling at her.
Amara agreed and as they were walking away, Amara stumbled upon something hard. She looked down to see paper wrapped around a rock. She picked it up and opened to read it.
‘Leave Aiden, otherwise next time I won’t miss.’
