 Van's soft voice snapped Kate from spacing out. It seems that Van is in the middle of the discussion, he was explaining about the Romans. Books and textiles were neatly arranged side by side. They were in the library, somewhere around the corner where very few students 


 "Um, I was in the middle of discussing how do five good Roman emperors differ from their predecessors when you suddenly space out. I mean you've been acting like this for the past few days." 


 He gazed at her pale blue eyes. Her hair does not compliment her usual mood as her eyes were soulless as it seems than it usually does. 


 "Look, you made it clear to me that you want me to stay out of it. I did it. But could you become more attentive to this, especially with me? I get it, you're a badass witch, but you also have responsibilities."
