A speck of truth

After minutes of tinkering the phone, Jane set the proper date, her contact number on the phone and thought him how to use the phone. It reminded her the time when her grandmother were also struggling with the new technology, but that was 3 years ago, she died year after that. She wished she could bring her back, her nana was the only ally she has back in her home. The others were seemingly distant and foreign for her.

“There you go.” She handed him back the phone.

Marcus was quietly watching her swipe the phone and explaining its different functions, but what caught him the most was her eyes seemed to be far away from where they are now.

“I applaud you’re kind tutoring, but may I ask, what were you thinking just now?”

“Thinking about what?”

Marcus pushed her in the wall and looked her in the eye. His face were stiff and hard, threatening in nature. “Tell me.” He ordered. “What was inside your head? Were you planning to use sorcery against me?”
