At exactly 7:16 a.m., the telephone rang. A beautiful lady in her thirties with good looking features, walked gracefully to where the telephone was and picked it up

Hello, Edna on the line please

Rex you need to come here as fast as you can, the caller said not minding who he was speaking to

Please who’s speaking? Edna asked

She needs you right now, come directly to the hospital, the caller said again and hung up

So strange, she thought to herself. Edna walked to the room where she met her husband reading a magazine.

Uhm, Rex there was a call for you to come…. The telephone rang again interrupting her words. I think that’s a call for you again

Rex stood up from the bed, out of the room with Edna walking behind him, and strode to where the telephone was hung. He picked it up.

Hello, Rex speaking

Hey, I said you need to come right away. Ciara needs you, she’s in the delivery room, the caller said and hung up again

Delivery what? Hello! Is she alright? Rex panicked on his spot

Rex what’s going on? Edna asked him

You won’t understand, Rex responded sharply, his eyes searching everywhere

Understand what? Edna shot back at him. You think I don’t know what a delivery room is? Or what you’re going to do in the hospital right? Just tell me the truth, what happened to the lady in the hospital? She asked him with her eyes already brimming with tears
