Turns out those blasts were fire, water and wind spells. The water spell splashes on the trees and promptly freezes them before they shatter like glass; the fire spell burns the trees into ashes; while the air blast slices up the trees into huge chunks.
“Oh, no you don’t!”
Faerai sends another barrage at her. Once again, Leilyn manages to evade all, using the trees as cover up. The spells act like heat seeking missiles, which is honestly troublesome.
Leilyn evades all but one in the air. The wind spell scraps her leg a little, making a tear on her leg sleeves. Leilyn grunts, more in annoyance than in pain. She lands on the ground, skidding back. She snarls, placing her fingers like claws.
