41: History

Samael richly chuckles, looking at Leilyn with amused ruby red eyes. “You humans and your false scriptures.”

Leilyn blinks. “Does that mean neither exist?”

“Heaven and Hell is just a concept made by humans with the grand illusion of self-importance, self-proclaimed righteousness, and deep sated denial of common facts. They are made to deceive the foolish lot, and used by masses to oppress others. Although horrible in their own might, they ironically become bases for human morals.” Samael chuckles bemusedly. “When mortals of this Universe die, their souls go to various destinations. For example, if one were to serve the Greek Gods, their soul finds its way to the Underworld to be judge. Same could be said for the Egyptian and Norse gods. That is where they will stay until the Universe is redone again; the slates wiped clean. Only the Major Gods will be left.”

“And if one were to not serve any god? What happens to them?”
