Chap 20

DEMI saw Javier sat on the other edge of the garden, carrying her son and making him fall asleep. He was actually staring at the sleeping child in his arms. It made her let go of a sigh and chat with Selena and Ysa.

"You're wedding is coming up, is everything ready?" She asked her cousin. The guys have their own conversation.

"Yup, the invitations were already given and a lot already confirmed to come."

"The locations and the reception are all steady to be set too. Everyone was so excited for the wedding." Ysa added.

"Thanks for Ysa's help. Although I always scolded Dustin for taking advantage of her all the time."

"I told you that are the only thing I can do to help, and to compensate for the goodness of boss Dustin, for me and my family." Ysa defended. "You know how he hired me despite of my education background."

"Why do you still call him boss? You should have called him 'kuya' because you're the girlfriend of one of his brother, right?" She curiously asked.

"My job and work doesn't have to do with my personal life, doc. I'm not yet married to Oscar, so me and boss are not yet family for me to call him that. He already asked me to do that, though."

"Is it because you're scared of what might people say if they hear you call him that way? Especially when you're at the office?"

"Maybe, but, honestly, it made me feel uncomfortable."

"Wait, Demi, now that you let Anthony be with his dad, does that mean you'll stay here with them too?" Selena asked and that reminded her of something.

"I have to go back to the mainland."

"Now?" They both asked in chorus that made the boys look at them.

When he looked at the side where he last saw Javier and her son, they are no longer in there.

"Javier let Anthony lie on his bed here." Dustin informed her. "Do you need anything?"

"I forgot to tell him a while ago to drive on my apartment first, for me to get my clothes. I don't have any clothes with me so I have to go back to the mainland to get some."

"Selena can lend you some." Oscar suggested.

"She hated wearing clothes that wasn't hers." Selena answered.

"You can go to him. His room was on the second floor, second door on the right side." Dustin informed her again and she nodded thanks before going to the room as he instructed, only to pause for a second and blink. When she opens the door, he saw the two sleeping in a wide bed. Their position was very visible and clear. Why are they the same even in sleeping position? Their right hand was both on the side while the left hand was on their chest. Even the positions of their feet are the same.

"Hey, why didn't you go in---." Rafael stop midway as he saw the two as well. "---side. Wow!" He continued whispering.

"What are you doing?" She asked whispering when Rafael took out his phone and started taking them picture. "Alright. Stop. Let's get out of here." She pulled him out of the room.

"This is a big scoop for the Redwood GC." Rafael was so happy while scrolling his gallery.

"Redwood - what?" They were going down the stairs now.

"Our Group Chat, us and our other siblings."

"You guys still in contact with your siblings? Have you seen all of them in person already?"

"Yes, we were all there to witness our dad's last breath. Our grandparents summoned us to be with him during that time. It was sad but we have to move on. Why are you in Javier's room, by the way? Don't tell me you both put your boys in bed?"

"No, silly. I wanted to ask Javier to send me to the mainland. I have to go back to my apartment and get my clothes. Dustin told me he was there. I don't even know he's also sleeping."

Rafael was not in the garden a while ago, said he'll take a shower for a while.

"O, I'm also going there now. I need to go and fetch someone at the bus station. She just talk with me a while ago. You can go with me, then."

"Okay, I won't oppose. Let's tell the others." They went to the garden and informed the others they'll both leave first.

"Go and check the father and son, you'll gonna like what you will see." Rafael said before they left them. She just shook her head in disbelief.
