Jiayi walked into her father's room to see the dark king sitting down by the table. He looked as handsome as ever and was looking at something so he didn't notice her. Closing the door, Jiayi walked to hide quietly behind her father the dark king. Looking down at what her father was so engrossed in, she saw the dark king looking at the painting of her and her sister when they were little. She had been standing by her father while her sister had been standing by her mother. Now her sister was gone and since that day, she felt so useless. Like she wasn't enough, like a part of their family had been gone along with her sister.

"Father!" Jiayi said hugging her father.

"Look at you. What are you doing here?" The dark king asked.

"I am here to see you. Father, how are you? You look pale " Jiayi said.

The dark king touched his face with one hand and laughed trying to throw Jaiyi off his back.
