Chapter Fifty

Nathaniel had finally settled down, he remained on his grandmother's lap as they ate. Their burning questions staled as they refused to ask while the innocent child before them was there. They remained silent and ate their dinner waiting for the opportunity to present itself.

"How was Glory Forest, Rina?" Kacien was the first to break the silence.

Rina took a sip of her wine that quickly turned into a gulp. She knew as soon as the conversion began it would eventually be taken over by her mother. Then it would lead into what she had dreaded all day.

"It was nice, we got to see a lot and do many things. Nathaniel had a lot of fun."

"Yeah, I took down a wild demon!" Nathaniel cut in.

Rina's mother's hands clutched him closer.

"Are you alright? Did you get hurt at all?" came in her rushed questions.

"Nope I'm fine. Not even a scratch, I beat it fair and square." he lifted his small fist in the air.

"That's my boy." Travios said.
