Surf's Up~!

(2 Weeks Later...) ~Army POV~ (2 Weeks Later...)

I walked up to his door after a moment of consideration and knocked quietly. I knew I would get no answer but it made me feel like I did something good. I sighed. "I'm never going to get the nerve to do this..." I muttered to myself. But, I have to start somewhere, don't I? I sigh again and this time, knock loud enough for him to actually hear. I heard the TV turn down and someone get up and come to the door.

The door opens just barely, just enough for him to peek out. "Oh!" He opens the door fully, smiling at me. "Army~!" He greets. "What's up?" He asks, leaving the door open and going over to the couch, putting on his visor. I followed him in, shutting the door quietly.

"Nothing. I just wanted to make sure you're alright?" I ask him. "I was...bored."

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. My team and I are going down to the beach." Aloha explains.

"This...early?" I ask, turning to the clock. It read six thirty-two. "I'm surprised you got up at six..."

"Huh? Well, yeah, if you want to see the sunrise over the ocean, it's beautiful. You wanna come?" He asks me. I turn to him, shaking my head.

"I can't. My team has a turf war. I just wanted to stop by on my way over there to see that you were okay," I admit.

"Oh. Bummer. I really wish you could come! It'd be so much fun~! You should really come down to the beach when you're done. You can bring your team too! Even Ms.Serious..." He muttered that last sentence in hopes I wouldn't hear it.

"Ms.Serious?" I ask. He jumps slightly.

"You heard that?" He asks, slipping on his shoes.

"Yes, are you referring to my teammate, Forge? Or perhaps White or Blue Sailor?" I ask him, crossing my arms and cocking an eyebrow at him.

"Um...which one will make you forget I said that?" He asks, I chuckle.

"None, but, I suppose Forge is a little too serious sometimes," I agree with him. I had been more...calm, as Blue Sailor put it, since I started seeing Aloha. I didn't think I acted that different but my teammates disagreed. I looked to Aloha. He caught my gaze and beamed at me.

"What? Are we staring now~?" He teased. I jump and quickly look away.

"You be quiet..." I tell him, half-jokingly. He laughs quietly and stands up.

"Okay, well, good luck in your turf war, I suppose!" He smiles at me. "You've got this!" Aloha tells me as he rushes upstairs to grab his weapon. I waited for him to come back downstairs before opening the door.

We both leave his home and start walking. We could walk together for a little bit before our path's split. "Well, I'll see you later, then?" I ask him. He nods.

"Of course~!" He chirps. "Cya later, Army~!" He runs off towards the beach and I fought the urge to tell him to be careful, I knew he wouldn't. I sighed and walked off to my turf war.

It was at Wahoo World. I met up with my teammates. "Sir!" They all chirped, waving.

"Hello everyone," I greet.

"Hello, sir! Where were you? You're usually the first one here." Blue Sailor asks.

"Oh, I went...somewhere. I'm not late, am I?" I ask, changing the topic.

"No, sir. You're on time." White Sailor says.

"Ah, well, then Blue, White, do you have your-?" I was cut off by Forge.

"Sir, we have everything ready!" She says. "Sir...question...how did you get ink on your jacket?" She points to my sleeve, which, at the cuff, was just barely stained with pink ink. I smiled slightly. Forge tilted her head in confusion.

"Ah...I don't know...but, it's fine," I assure her.

"Sir? It says, in the manuels, that we should rid ourselves of all stains in clothing to look professional during our matches. Because cleanliness is-" I cut Forge off.

"Forge," I say. She stops and looks at me, waiting. "It's okay. It's not a big deal. I meant noticeable stains not literally every single stain. And yes- you can write that down. Who's team are we going up against?" I ask her. She was scribbling notes in her manuel.

"Uhm, Team...Safari..." She mumbles, focusing more on her writing than me.

"Safari?" I question her.

"Yes, sir." She answers, swiftly.

"Army! Would you look at that! How are you?" Safari asks, walking up to us.

"Oh, hello, Safari," I greet him. He waves a little.

((AUTHOR'S NOTE: I HAVE NO IDEA HOW SAFARI ACTS, I HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK YET AND I COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE AND TROXY, one of my friends, WANTED SAFARI. AAH, I AM SO SORRY. "Hello, Army!"

"Ready for our turf war?" I ask him. He nods.

"Yes, I have been practicing." He tells me. I nod.

"Let's go," I say. Safari nods and follows us into the battle arena.

Aloha POV

"Aloha~! Ready for the waves?" Straw asks excitedly. "I can't wait!" She chirps.

"Yeah~! Let's go~!" I said, smiling at them. We had split up to get everything ready. The girls left their glasses and hat on the towels. We all left our shoes and walked up to the sparkling waters.

"Woah, it's cold!" Diver says, walking into the water. "But, it's perfect!" He chirps. "Come on~!"

We all followed him into the water and as we went farther into the deeper end, people started noticing us. Of course, we were already popular but with me being apart of the S4, it gets a lot worse.

The waves started rolling in and that's when the fun started. "Woo!" Diver yells, surfing on the water's the breeze was perfect. "Hey, Loa! Should we try the big one?" He asks, pointing at the incoming wave, it would be difficult to not fall in with that one. I thought for a moment then cracked a smile and nodded.

"Why not~?" I chime. "What about you girls?"

"Nope!" Octo says, shaking her head. "I'm good! I don't feel like drowning today!" Straw says, giggling. I shrugged and we approached the wave. A few people stopped to stare, I could feel their gazes on us.

"Hey, Aloha...?" He asks as we approached.

"Getting cold feet, are we?" I asked him. He chuckles.

"I suppose so, I'll ride beside it and wait for you." He says, nervousness in his voice. Wait for me? Whatever for? I got this!

Diver POV

I pulled back away from the wave, but, Aloha, he went head on at the wave, confident and cocky as ever. I looked around, the girl's were watching, Octo fell in the water so Straw had been helping her when they saw me pull back without Aloha. Multiple other people were staring, watching Aloha in a panic, thinking he would drown.

"Stop him!" A octoling yells from the sandy beach. I looked to her, concerned. "STOP HIM! I know you hear me, Team Pink! Stop being so damn cocky!" She yells. I crossed my fingers. Don't drown...

Then, as the wave went over Aloha's head, for a second my body moved forward, toward's him. Ready to help. But, a second later, he reappears, he actually did it...really well too. I smiled at him, waving. He gives me a thumbs-up, beaming brightly. I turned to the Octoling girl who stood staring, glaring.

Then, I noticed him. I knew why Aloha said yes...Army was watching with Forge, Blue Sailor, and White Sailor. Army was smiling hugely.

Aloha POV

Okay, so, I will admit, that wasn't as flawless as I wanted it to be, but, it worked out, even if I got splashed in the face with water, salt water. My eyes stung a bit but I still smiled at Army and Diver. Diver looked relieved, the girl's looked happy, and Army looked happy too...that made me happy. I was glad I did it.

I rode the wave until it died out then I went back to shore, to Army. He waved me over, happily.

"Aloha! Hello!" He greets.

"Hello, sir brought us here." Forge says, she was wearing her bathing suit, which I never knew she even had. She smiles at me. I smile back, then, turn my attention to Army.

"How was your turf war?" I ask him.

"We won." He said.

"That's great!" I said, clapping my hands together in joy.

He smiles slightly. "That was great? Did you not see yourself on that wave? That was...mind-blowing...and dangerous. I'd prefer if you didn't do it, at least, not in front of me." He chuckles. He was a little paler than normal. I snicker.

"Okay, fine~! I promise I won't do anything~🎶!" I say. He looks to me and shakes his head, a smile clear on his face.
