Aloha POV
I stirred awake to the darkness. I was laying on something...someone...I looked up to see Army. It took me a moment to remember what happened. Army was asleep. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. It was dark outside still. Why did I wake up? I got up and yawned again before walking around my house, looking around. Nothing made noise so what woke me up?
"You're up early, huh?" Army's voice came from behind me. I turned around and met his gaze.
"Oh, huh? I don't know...I'm not sure what woke me up," I admit, shrugging. Army sighs. I walk up to him and hug him, he gladly accepts my hug. I smile, my forehead against his forehead. He then pulls me back to the couch we lay down together.
"Just try to go back to sleep." Army tells me. I don't answer as I close my eyes once again.
Army POV
My alarm goes off at seven thirty, just like I had wanted it to. I was quick to silence it. Aloha was still asleep. I was careful to get up without waking him up. I grabbed one of his blankets and covered him with it. He still didn't wake so I gathered my things and got ready to leave for my turf war. I left a sticky note on the door so he would see it and not think I left him or something. I then opened the door and headed out to my turf war.
Aloha POV - An Hour Later, 9am
I stirred awake once again and sat up, looking around. I had a blanket draped over me. I got up and looked around. There was a note on the door that read, "I'll be back soon, Aloha. I went to my turf war, ♥️" on the door. I smiled and left the note there. I walked into the kitchen where Army left another note, "Do not eat Ramen, there's curry in the fridge". I snickered and listened to his instructions. He should be coming back soon, yeah? I hoped he would come back soon, I missed him already.
Army POV - 9:30
I walked up to Aloha's house. I had been gone for a while now, nearly two hours. I knocked on the door but it opened. When he didn't answer I opened the door and walked in. "Aloha!" I called into the house to receive no response. I went inside the house, shutting the door and locking it behind me before checking the rooms. I finally went upstairs to his bedroom. I knocked on the door. "Aloha...?" I call.
"Ah! Ouch...you can come in! Ouch, damnit!" He cursed. I opened the door. His leg was bloody and he was on the floor beside his bed. I froze for a second before rushing over to him.
"What the hell happened, Aloha? I left you alone for two hours!" I say, dropping to my knees beside him. "Holy cod!" I said, rushing off to grab a few towels and bandages. I rushed back to him. "What happened? Why didn't you call me?" I ask him.
"My phone's downstairs...I- Ouch!" He flinches away from the towel that was becoming soaked with blood.
"I'm sorry, just hold still. It's deep. How did this happen?" I ask him, worriedly.
"I...I was going upstairs and you know my drawer? I have a knife I use to cut open things in the bathroom and well..." Aloha's voice trailed off.
"A cutting knife? You did THIS with a cutting knife?" I ask to make sure. He nods slowly. "Oh, good cod, Aloha. I thought I told you to be careful! This may need stitches...how long have you been sitting here?" I ask him.
"I..." He grabs his head and pauses.
"Aloha?" I ask.
"S-Sorry, I don't know." He answers in clear pain.
"Oh geez, Aloha. How much blood have you lost? Good cod!" I said. "I'm taking you to the hospital, no arguments," I tell him. I pick him up bridal style and carry him down to the couch downstairs before setting him down and calling Diver's number.
"Hello? Army? What's up?"
"Uhm, I need you to hurry to Aloha's place, he..." I sigh. "He got hurt." I explain.
"Oh, I'm on my way, I'm just a block away- half a block. I'm running. Already out the door. What happened?" He asks. "Aw, Straw and Octo are following me, is that alright?"
"Yeah, I don't care just hurry! He's losing blood fast. It's a deep cut, I don't even know how he did it!" I yelp at Diver. A knock came at the door. I hung up and let them in.
"Oh my cod, Aloha! Are you okay!?" Straw panics. Aloha winces.
"I'm fine..." He mumbles. He seemed dizzy.
"Aloha?" I turn to him. "Let's hurry." I say helping Aloha stand, Diver took his other side, to make sure he didn't fall.
~Prinz POV~
(This will make sense in a moment, I just hate putting "TimeSkip")
I was talking to Team Blue's Goggles. We were near the downtown area. I could see the hospital, the stores, the turf war areas, and the restaurants from where we stood.
"Prinz?" Goggles asks. I turn my attention to him.
"Huh...? Oh, I'm so sorry, Goggles!" I apologize quickly. "I spaced out, my bad..."
"No, it's alright!" He laughs. "I was rambling on actually! I was worried you thought I was being annoying or something!"
"Oh! No!" I say, holding my hands together in front of me. "Not at all!"
"Is that a habit?" He asks, noticing my hands.
"What?" I ask, looking at my hands. "Oh, yeah I guess so...I do it when I get nervous..." I force my arms by my sides.
"Ah! That's cute!" Goggles teases. I glare playfully at him. "Haha! Hey...is that...Aloha...?" Goggles says, his smile fading instantly. "Is he okay?!" He frets.
I turn to where his gaze was at. Aloha had Army and Diver on either side of him, they were walking together into the hospital but Aloha's leg was covered in blood. Aloha's team followed worriedly behind them.
I stared for a moment before running after them, in fear. Goggles jumps at my reaction but follows me, running after me, towards the hospital. Is Aloha okay?
We ran into the hospital but we lost Aloha, Army, and Aloha's team. I looked around and about ten minutes of waiting we see Aloha's team. They walk over to us.
"Prinz?" Diver asks, looking up. "Why're you here? Did something happen with you all?"
"What? No...we saw you guys with Aloha...is he alright?" I ask Diver. Diver sighs.
"Thankfully, yes, he's fine. Just needs some stitches. He had us seriously worried there. He'll be perfectly fine in a little over a week or two." Diver sighs in relief.
"Oh, that's great news!" I say, smiling a little. "How did it happen?"
"Not sure...but, thank cod Army was already heading over to Aloha's place! It could've been a lot worse, the doctor said he could've lost a lot more blood and it could've been very bad. Nothing fatal of course, but, still nothing pleasant either." Diver explains to us.
"Army was heading over there?" Goggles asks, curiously.
"Yeah, Army stayed over at Aloha's place last night, they watched a movie or something and made dinner together. Apparently, Army was going back to get Aloha for the S4 Meeting they had today when he found Aloha like that, trying to take care of the wound without help. He's a klutz sometimes, it worries us all about what he'll trip over or accidentally bump into next..." Diver shakes his head. The girls both nod, agreeing.
"Yeah, he needs to be more careful!" Straw agrees. "He's always getting hurt! I mean I can't even count how many accidents have happened since we've been a team!"
"Wow, must be a lot, huh? None too bad?" Goggles asks. "Like breaking a bone or something?"
"Oh, no, he's done that plenty of times!" Octo says, shaking her head. "Don't get that wrong!"
"Yeah, that's out leader pretty much. Of course, the scars fade away so you can't really see them anymore but he has or had quite a bit." Diver points out to us.
"Oh," I say. "How many do you think?"
"Oh, dear cod!" Straw says. "I'd bet a good ten!"
"I'd say nine." Octo nods to me. I look to Diver who was thinking then he says, "I say six."
"So between five to ten different scars?" Goggles asks. "I have...none I don't think. Maybe one or two from Rider running me over with the roller more than once."
"Most you can't see unless you really know what you're looking for and you're up close. But, he has maybe one or two you can see from a bit farther. Never too far though." Diver says, smiling. Goggles just stares in shock at Diver and the others. I snicker. Diver sighs and rolls his eyes.
"Wow, what about you three?" Goggles asks.
"Oh, us? I know I have three from when I was surfing with all my friends, we all got dunked..." Straw says. Octo laughs, nodding.
"Ooh, will you tell us the story?" Goggles asks, eager to hear the story. "Please?"
"Huh? Sure! I'll tell you the story!" Straw says.
Straw Hat POV (A Year and some months ago...June 27)
(Flashback)
"Ooh~! The waves are a little harsh today, yeah?" I yell to Octo who was paying more attention to her surfboard and the waves than me.
"Huh?" Octo yells to me. Aloha and Diver where ahead of us, but, the wave the tilted over us, blinded me for a moment. I brushed the water from my eyes and opened them again. Diver and Aloha were surfing flawlessly, I couldn't help but stare at our team's captain, Aloha and my good friend, Diver. "Straw...I think we should pull back! I can see past the wave and there's more coming!" Octo warns me. I turn to look at her, keeping my balance.
"What? Do you want me to warn the boys?" I ask her. She nods frantically. I turn back forward, "ALOHA!" I screamed. He perks and turns to see me. "ALOHA WE NEED TO PULL BACK!" I tell him, pointing at the waves incoming.
"What's the matter?" Diver yell-asks me.
"PULL! BACK!" I yell. The boy's looked confused. They couldn't hear me. "They can hear me...we're going to have to just go through the wave. It'll be fine, Octo. What's the worse that could happen?" I ask her, jokingly.
"Uhm, we could drown. We could get hurt and hit the coral's beneath us. You know there might be sharks waiting to eat us." She says. I turn to look at her.
"The hell, Octo?" I ask.
"Pfft~! You should see your face right now~! I was only joking~!" Octo says, laughing.
"Oh, well, I'm sure-" I was cut off by another wave hitting us. We surfed along it but in the middle of the wave another crashed into it, causing Diver to slip. "Diver!" I called out and he fell into the water.
"Okay, maybe we should get out of the waves!" Octo warns, serious now.
"I think you're right! Aloha we-!" I watched him dive right into the icy waters below him. With a small splash before I couldn't see him. He resurfaced, barely with Diver, pulling him onto his surf board. Then, we hit another wave, I fell in this time. All the way to the bottom, scratching my back and arms against the sharp coral reef's before Aloha pulled me up with Octo on my other side. When we were all out of the waves, I let relief fill me.
"Oh, woah, what the hell?" Aloha asks. I turn to the water's he was facing as he fixed and buttoned his shirt.
"Woah..." I whisper, standing at his side. "What's with the water today?" I ask aloud.
"Dunno, maybe the weather was wrong?" Octo suggested. "I mean, they aren't always right..."
"No, I don't think so. Look at the skies. It's just the water. What's up with that?" Aloha says, pointing up at the peaceful and warm skies. I nodded.
"He's right. It's just the water," I agree. "That's weird. Something may have happened? Maybe something disrupted the water today..." I say. "I can't remember anything like that but of course, when do I watch the news?"
"Hah, I guess you're right. Did anyone get hurt?" Aloha asks, turning to us.
"Ah, I cut my arms and back, I don't think they're very bad," I admit.
Diver POV (End Of Flashback, Back To Present)
"Yeah, she has scars to prove it. Those waves were harsh though. Pulled me under and when Aloha went under to help me out, nearly got him drowned too," I admit.
"How so?" Goggles asks. Prinz looks to him before looking at me. I sigh.
"Well, when you're surfing it's great and all- but- you have to be careful. Of course, I recommend it if you have someone who's a pro or a great swimmer with you," I say. Goggles smiles at me, his eyes on me, waiting and patient. Prinz beams and his eyes twinkle with curiosity.
"Hah, well, when surfing, the waves can be harsh and pull you under if you aren't careful. The water's were fine but we were too far out to get back to shore before these nasty waves hit us, they hit us hard too. Dragged me under and when Aloha saw, he didn't hesitate, he jumped right in after me. He reached out to me and I grabbed his hand as another wave hit so it dragged us both under farther. Thing about Aloha is that he can't hold his breath long, I can do it for up to five minutes," I replied, a smirk evident on my face. Octo sighs.
"Continue on." Goggles urges, eagerly. Prinz nodded, "Yeah," He said. I smile and nod at the two.
"Right, well, he lost his breath and I panicked for a moment, thinking he would drown but he kept calm, I honestly think that if Aloha had to chose where he would die, it would be drowning in the ocean, I'm being serious, he loves the ocean so much- not the point. Anyway, he pulls me up to the surface before gasping and wheezing. I thought he would die but when Straw went under he was quick to get her with Octo's help. We all got back safely, spare a few scratches and you wanna know something weird?"
"Sure!" Goggles says.
"Despite nearly drowning on multiple occasions, Aloha still loves swimming, he's not afraid of sharks or fish or anything! We've been shark diving before and he was fearless! Unlike, Octo over here, she was shaking the entire time and cried in relief when we were back on the boat, she refused to go into the water for a whole week after that due to "sharks". It was hilarious!" I tell Goggles, laughing. He burst out laughing while Prinz snickers quietly.
"H-Hey! I-It's not funny!" Octo says, pouting and crossing her arms.
"You're blushing, you know~?" I tease, she glares and I laugh some more.
Then, Army comes up to us. "Hello." He greets, quietly.
"Oh, hey! How's 'Loa?" I ask him.
"Loa...? Oh, Aloha. He's okay, he'll be okay. He had a mini-panic attack though, he's fine now. He calmed down. They have to give him stitches." Army says. I nod.
"Right, I figured that much. But, he'll be back up and running in two weeks or less, yeah?" I ask Army. Army nods. "Is...Is something wrong?" I ask him, noticing the slight frown on his face.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm just a little upset with myself. My turf war shouldn't have taken that long, who knows how long he'd been there in pain..." Army's voice trailed off and he turned around. "I'll be going now, I left a blood stain on Aloha's carpet and I would feel horrible if it got stained and he couldn't get it out of the damn white thing. I'll see you all later." Army waves and we watch him go.
I frown but wave. "Yeah, I guess we should all head home. Besides-" I cut myself off and grab Prinz, hugging him, with my back to the door. He jumps. I release him suddenly. "Sorry, that was you're brother that just passed, he must be looking for you. I figured you didn't want to be seen yet? He'd have a panic attack if he found you here! Haha!" I say, Prinz nods.
"Thanks...he would." Prinz says. "I'll be going then. Cya!" He chimes and runs off after his older brother. Goggles waves too.
"I have to go, too. Specs, Bobble, Headphones, and I have a match soon!" He runs off to go find his teammates and that left only the three of us...Team Pink.
"So, what to do?" I ask, turning to the other two.
"I say we should go for a walk by the beach and grab some dinner then maybe text Loa later? He's getting stitches soon so probably best not to freak him out. Heh...plus, I don't want him to freak me out by telling me 'he's fine' or he's 'not scared' because anything semi-sharp freaks me out! EEK! WHAT THE HECK, STRAW?!" Octo whines as Straw pokes her in the side with a piece of straw. "I THOUGHT THAT WAS A NEEDLE! THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" She screams, attracting attention to us three. I pull them both outside before we got banned from the hospital.
"Yeah, sure, let's go~!" I chime happily. The girl's followed me out.
