A strange bird

After crying for hours literally hours Mavis got up and wiped her face with her hand and told her self that she can get out when she saw something at the top of the well a white bird "Hi buddy, what brings you here" Mavis said as she was wiping her eyes and the bird just chirped and dropped an apple for Mavis which surprising enough she was a little cheered up and the bird flew into the well and Mavis was curious why would it come in here but she didn't really care at that point. Mavis named the bird Mark after her father who died in a mission for the military. It was sweet having Make around, Mavis would get food and other materials like stones and sticks but then Mark came back with something rather unusual. Mark dropped a lighter and Mavis looked at the materials and knew what Mark wanted her to do which was make herself a fire to stay warm and she did do "thanks Mark your a good bird" Mavis said to 'lovely' Mark and they sat there through the night looking at the stars. Morning came and Mark dropped a egg which Mavis being trapped for a week without anyone noticing learned to catch. Mavis made a living in the well, but it was getting cramped and Mark knew that so the next day he brought a pickaxe which Mavis found strange "Where'd you get this from bud?" Mark just chirped and left to being Mavis some clothes which she wore for the whole day and used her old clothes for mining the walls of the well to expand. One month later Mavis was having a nice time but how did she learn all of this? what about her education? well you see Mark woke up early on some days and dropped a book for Mavis it's like Mark had a human thought and that he was feeling sympathy for Mavis but no matter Mavis still read the books. By the end of the month Mavis had enough materials to make a ladder and she did but hid it from Mark. The day came and Mavis was ready to escape...she woke Mark up and showed him the ladder. Mark was unhappy and started chirping loudly but Mavis still put the ladder against a ledge she left incase of this situation of her escaping and Mark flew up and flapped in her face "Hey what are you doing! Stop...please...Mark stop!" Mavis said and she fell off the ladder injuring herself but when she got up she was in a bed? Mavis was rubbing her head and the ladder was gone "Huh? What happened? Where's the ladder? Mark! Mark where are you?" Mavis head was hurting and Mark was no where to be seen.....for a week. After a week Mark showed up and brought Mavis food and materials for her and Mavis thought it was weird. Mavis still continued living in the well and she never had a problem with water, food or materials soon she had a working television but her leg was hurting and Mark saw that, but he already brought materials for the day so he had to wait until tommorow and he went to cuddle up next to Mavis who appreciated that. "Where do you get these things from huh? How do you carry them?" Mavis just saw that Mark asleep and soon she was asleep too. What about fake Mavis how were they working out? Well throughout the days fake Mavis won several awards and earned several A+ and also got a reward for being so successful but her behaviour was weird....the only person who knew that was Gary. Gary was Mavis best friend but he liked Mavis liked as in more than a friend but never said it. Gary noticed 'Mavis' was acting weird and actually tried talking to her about it "Mavis are you ok?" "What do you mean Gary? I'm clearly ok...actually more than ok, IM FEELING GREAT" "But Mavis you've been acting weird, you haven't messaged me for a week now...if something's wrong you can just talk to me...you know that right?" "Gary nothing's wrong with me...I'm fine. Just because I'm richer than you and have more friends doesn't mean you have to be jealous" "WHAT! I'm not jealous. It's just that you've been acting weird and who said this was about how rich you are? what happened at the well it's like money has changed you" "Look if you don't wanna be here then you can leave...I don't need you lr depressing thoughts ok. Jeez" "Fine Mavis I'll leave" "Wait-Take your photo Its taking up space" Fake Mavis gave Gary a photo of them as children and that got Gary upset so much he had tears when he left and he went to the well and just leaned in it "What happened Mavis" he said with tears in his eyes while Mavis was there calling for him.....he dropped the photo in the well and Mavis caught it and she went to sleep crying remembering that she had family and that her life was taken away by an imposter and that she couldn't do anything.
