Werewolf! Dead!

Bryce's phone buzzed. He took it out and he had gotten a text from an unknown number saying to meet him at the school.

Unknown: Meet me at the school right now!

Bryce: Who is this?

Unknown: Hurry!!

"I'm going to head out for a while. I'll be back later", Bryce said as he went out to meet the person.

Bryce got to the school and texted the number back.

Bryce: I'm here where are you?

Unknown: Chemistry class.

After seeing the text, entered the school premises heading for the chemistry class. Just then he realized the stupid mistake he had made. He still didn't know who was waiting for him at the chemistry class.

Bryce: Who are you?

Unknown: Hurry!!

For a moment, Bryce felt stupid. Who could this be. Was it a person he knew or was it just a random person or was it even an ordinary person. He had a hunch it was going to be someone he knew. So he decided to take the risk.

Bryce was now standing in front of the chemistry class. His phone buzzed again.

Unknown: I know your secret.

Bryce's heart dropped for a second. How would the person know his secret. He only used this magic at home. Then he thought maybe it was someone he knew at school and there could be a chance that they were talking about a different secret. But still he couldn't stop thinking what if they actually knew his secret. He mastered up his courage and right then the door to the chemistry class slid open revealing Zane who was now staring intently at Bryce.

Bryce felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders as he let out a sigh. Before he could talk, he was. dragged into the classroom.

"what do you want? And where did you even get my number?", Bryce asked.

"Show them!", Zane said.

"Here we go again", Carter said.

Bryce then saw that Carter and Mitch were also there.

"Show them what?", Bryce asked.

"Your eyes!", Zane said.

"What? My eyes? You made me come all the way here just so I could show you my eyes? Are you okay?", Bryce asked. He was now questioning his choice of coming here.

"Show it to them and prove that I am not going crazy", Zane said. He was actually pleading to Bryce.

"No one said you were going crazy", Mitch said.

"He said he saw your eyes glow at the party", Carter explained to Bryce.

"You saw my eyes glow. I don't know but that sounds crazy to me", Bryce said folding his arms.

"Don't say that. He is not going crazy", Carter defended his friend.

"Can we just go now. Whether you like it or not Zane, you were drunk and was just seeing things", Mitch said.

Zane stepped a bit towards Bryce and asked, "What are you?".

If was then that Bryce thought that Zane might not have been seeing thing and that his eyes might have actually glowed because of the gem and that was how it was able to heal him so fast.

"Stop this and let's just go. We'll be in trouble if we're caught", Carter said.

"I told you, you must have seen it wrong because you were drunk", Mitch said.

"Just shut up, I know what I saw and I saw his eyes glow", Zane said.

ROOOAAAARRRR

Just then they heard the most heart dropping roar they had ever heard. Their hearts almost skipping a few beats.

"What the hell was that?", Mitch asked, his voice slightly shaking.

"Let's go check it out", Bryce said. If it was some kind of wild animals he could use his magic to protect them even if it meant exposing himself.

"Are you crazy? You're gonna go out there?", Carter asked but Bryce just when ahead. Zane decided to follow behind Bryce.

"You're going to?", Carter asked when he saw Mitch also going with that. Carter sighed out of frustration. He had no choice but to follow them.

The three kept following closely behind Bryce. They made a turn and they could hear feint sounds coming ahead. Then very large creature on all fours crossed the hallway ahead of them with it's incredible speed. The eyes of all the boys went wide as they stood there.

"What the hell was that?", Carter shouted. His soul almost escaped from his body.

"That was just a big dog", Bryce said mostly to reassure himself. He didn't know what it was either.

The boys froze when the heard a loud growling sound and the animals slowly coming back . It stood in the middle of the hallway and stood up on its two feet.

"I think it heard you call it a big dog", Mitch said.

"Oh my God! That is a fricking werewolf!", Carter said after observing the beast.

"Run", Bryce said.

The four boys immediately started running in the opposite direction. The werewolf let out another earth shaking roar and immediately chased after the four boys.

They ran as fast as they could; so fast they could say they had never ran this fast before, but it was futile since the werewolf would catch up to them if they kept running through the hallways. The front and back doors were no where near and they were on the second floor, they couldn't jump out of the windows of the classes either.

Bryce looked back while still running. The werewolf was only a few feet away from him since he had intentionally let himself get dragged behind.

"𝑣𝑖𝑠"

Bryce casted a spell as he waved his hand. A strong telekinetic blast hit the werewolf and sent it flying a couple of meters back. Bryce was already familiar with the spell since he had used it back in the Mandrake Realm.

The three boys stopped and looked back to see what was happening. They were sure Bryce had done something which resulted in the big black werewolf now lying on its back.

"What are you doing? Run!!", Bryce shouted when he saw the three standing there looking at him. Without even wait for them, he immediately run ahead of them which made them follow him. They had so many questions right now but now wasn't the time to ask them.

The werewolf got up. It looked in the direction the four boys left in. It growled getting seeming much more angry. It entered one of the classroom and immediately jumped through the reinforced glass window, breaking it without a sweat and landing on the ground on its feet.

*****

Meanwhile, Bryce and the other three boys had now made it to the ground floor and were still running towards the front exit. They had been running for a while and they hadn't even gotten tired yet from all the adrenaline.

After running through a few hallways, they could finally see the door, their speed involuntarily increasing. They could finally get away from the huge beast.

They barged through the door and exited the building, but instead of feeling at least a bit relieved, they immediately regretted coming out as they saw a blur fast right in front of them and Bryce's figure disappearing from before them.

The three looked to the left and their hearts sank into their stomachs as they saw the beast they had tirelessly tried to run away from right there with Bryce's now lifeless body. Its sharp canines embedded into Bryce's broken neck.

The beast let Bryce's body fall to the ground as it stood upright on its two feet and assumed a majestic pose. The over two meters tall beast looked at the three teenagers that were quivering in fear and a smug smile seemed to appear on its wolf face.

The smug smile didn't last as a figure suddenly appeared with incredible speed on visible to the naked eye and punched the werewolf with all their strength which sent it flying a few meters back but only because it had let its guard down. The only threat had already been defeated. It wasn't expecting another one to suddenly appear.

Zane, Carter and Mitch looked at the figure of the new comer and couldn't help but think it was familiar.

The figure walked to Bryce's body and immediately knew he was dead. The figure turned his head, revealing himself as non other than Jason Finley. But he didn't seem to be his normal self as he eyes were completely black with thin veins spreading under them.

"Get back inside!", Jason ordered as his eyes returned back to brown and the thin, black veins under his eyes disappeared.

The three looked at Jason with dumbfounded at him.

The werewolf got back up and roared snapping the boys out of their stupor.

"Now!!!", Jason shouted as his face turned back to how it previously was. The three shirtlessly scared boys immediately ran back inside the building.

Jason looked back at the werewolf that had already charged at him. Jason immediately sped behind it. The werewolf once again charged at Jason which he once again sped behind it with a speed not visible to the naked eye without causing a sonic boom. Jason was actually nervous. He had just seen a werewolf for the first time and was fighting it. From what he had heard, werewolves weren't even supposed to be this big. So that meant that this werewolf wasn't a normal werewolf.

The wolf once again charged at Jason who was surprised because the werewolf had become much faster. He sped away from it but not before getting slashed on the chest. He winced in pain as he looked at the five diagonal claw marks on his chest.

"Shit!", Jason cursed as the claw marks began to heal itself. It seemed he had to get really serious or he'd die before even realising it.
