Task

In the woods where people hardly ever visit, there was a base which looked like it had been abandoned but there were actually a lot of people inside.

Around the base, there was a large illusion set up to cover the whole place to make it seem invisible. The illusion was set to prevent unwanted guests from trespassing. There were also people who acted as guards who were patrolling the base under the illusion.

Inside the base was Eugene Parker, Beaconsdale Highschool's new history substitute teacher who would be in place of Miss Elena Grace while she was still in the hospital. Eugene was in a room with his partner and girlfriend, the stunning woman with curly blonde hair, Lena Clinton - or Grimm.

Eugene hugged Lena from behind and started kissing her on the neck and on the cheek.

"How is it going", he asked.

Lena was currently working on an artifact which could be used to pinpoint the location of the gems by reading their energy signatures. They call the artifact Lena was making the 'locator'. She had been working on it for a while and now she was almost done.

"I'm almost done with it. It should be done by Friday", Alice said.

"This is why I chose you. You know how to get thing done", said Eugene. "We should be able to get at least one gem before the blue moon"

Lena smiled and continued what she was doing.

The door was opened and a familiar man came in. His name was Jaxon - or Jax - and he seemed to be in his early twenties. He was also one of the two werewolves that wanted to test their strength against Eugene earlier in the woods.

"Eugene! The vampires are starting to complain again", said Jax.

"About what!", Eugene was getting sick of the vampires complaining.

"They said they're getting hungry and need more blood", said Jax.

Eugene turned back to Lena and said, "I'll be right back".

Lena kissed him on the lips and said, "Show them what you can do. They'll never dare to complain ever again".

Eugene nodded and left the room with Jax in tow.

Eugene and Jax arrived in a quite large room which had stairs leading to the lower floor of the base. From where they were standing, they could see about two hundred people who had gathered together on the lower floor and those people could also see them standing there. These people were all vampires.

"Are these all of them?", Eugene asked.

"The rest are guarding the base along with some werewolves", Jax said.

Eugene nodded.

When the vampires saw Eugene and Jax standing there, one vampire came forward. He was a big, tall and muscular man with dark skin. His name was Mick. And judging by his look, he should be in his mid forties. At least that was how old he should've been when he became a vampire, who knows how long ago.

"These blood bags aren't enough for all of us. We are getting hungry and we need fresh blood. When are you gonna give us what we need", Mick said showing the empty blood bag in his hand.

"Yeah", a vampire agreed.

"We need more blood", another vampire said.

"We need fresh blood" another vampire said.

Seeing Mick confront Eugene, the other vampires also started making comments.

A few days ago, Eugene sent some of his people to the hospital to compel the doctors and nurses to get them some blood bags. They got a lot of blood bags but they weren't enough to feed two hundred plus vampires for long so they started to complain.

They'd already been warned against attacking and feeding off of people which also contributed to them not getting enough blood to feed on.

Seeing the vampires still complain about blood while he was there only made Eugene angry. He jumped off the railing and landed right in front of Mick.

When he jumped down, the other vampires instinctively took a few steps back but Mick remained still, obviously challenging Eugene.

Eugene was a tall and muscular man but Mick was a bit taller and more muscular than Eugene so he thought he might stand a change against Eugene in a fight.

When the already angered Eugene saw Mick challenging him, he was now enraged but he wasn't going to kill Mick since he was one of the three oldest and strongest vampires in there but that didn't mean he was going to let him go unpunished either.

Eugene's irises started glowing deep orange - almost red - and his sclera turned completely black then thin black veins under his eyes. He delivered a powerful punch right into Mick's chest, sending him flying until he hit a wall with a thud and fell to the ground. Mick groaned in pain for a few seconds before being able to stand up again. He now knew he was leagues below Eugene.

Eugene's figure flashed in front of Mike. He opened his mouth revealing the twelve deadly werepire fangs and sunk them right into Mick's neck and tore out a chunk of Mick's flesh. Blood started oozing out as a piece of his neck was torn out.

Mick weakly fell to the ground. He tried to stop it from bleeding and make it heal faster by covering it with his hand. A wound like this wasn't enough to kill a strong vampire like Mick. But he soon found out that the large wound on his neck wasn't healing. It wasn't trying to heal but it was as if something was stopping the process.

"What have you done to me?", Mick said weakly.

Eugene smiled, wiped his bloody mouth and didn't replied.

"Anyone else have anything to complain about?", Eugene asked.

After the gruesome scene they just witnessed, none of them said anything fearing that the same thing might happen to them.

"Good!", Eugene smiled when no one said anything.

He bent down by Mick's side, bit his arm and offered it to him.

"Drink up", Eugene said.

Mick opened his mouth and let Eugene's blood drip down into it.

The large on his neck gradually started to heal and in a few seconds, the wound healed and it was like it was never there. The other vampires stared at Eugene with a mix of awe and fear.

"You should go easy on us", a voice suddenly said. "or we'll just leave, you know".

Eugene turned to look at the lone vampire sitting in the corner. The vampire was a man who looked to be in his early twenties but since he was a vampire, it might not be his actual age. He was also wearing a grey hoodie. He had whiskey brown eyes and dark brown hair. His name was Dacre Montgomery - or just Monty. He was a 130 years old vampire which meant he was almost as strong as Mick who was kicking two centuries.

Dacre was the same vampire that was sent to kill Elena Grace. He had kill a fair lot of people but he didn't think that Elena deserved to die so he just stabbed her instead. That way, Eugene would be hired as a substitute and by the time that Elena would have recovered, they'd have accomplished whatever they came here to do.

Dacre was also the vampire that had attached Eugene with the two werewolves; Jax and Damien.

"I'd kill you first", Eugene said with a smug smirk on his lips.

"I won't even be surprised that you actually would", Dacre said.

"Dacre", Eugene said. "I've got a job for you".

"What is it, Alpha man?", Dacre asked.

"Call me that one more time and I'll rip your heart out through your mouth", Eugene threatened but Monty just cringed while almost everyone else gulped. He would have actually felt threatened by Eugene if he wasn't used to torture and gory details.

"Okay, Boss Parker", Dacre said, throwing another nickname at Eugene who in turn gave him an intense glare.

"Take a few vamps with you and head out of town. Go to nearby hospitals and get as many blood bags as you can without bringing any attention to yourselves. Be back by Thursday", Eugene ordered.

"Aye aye, captain", Monty mock saluted.

Eugene who was satisfied with the reactions of the vampires walked up the stairs and said to Jaxon, "Go with them. Take Damien with you. The two of you will keep an eye on them".

Jaxon nodded and Eugene left satisfied.

Dacre looked at Mick whose clothes had been dyed with his own blood and said, "Wanna tag along?".

Mick only shot him a look that was almost intense as Eugene's. If only looks could kill.

"Well too bad, you're coming", he said.

"Don't count me out. I'm tagging along too", a female voice said.

Dacre looked in the direction where the voice came from and saw a beautiful dark skinned woman with long black hair that had pink and silver streaks in it. She was about 5'7 tall with light Hazel brown eyes. Her name was Victoria "Vicki" St. John. She was the oldest vampire in the room, which meant she was also one of the strongest. She was over two hundred years old.

"The perfect trio. The beautiful, the handsome and the brooding...", Dacre stopped to think of a suitable word, "brawn".

"More like the brooding buffoon", Vicki said with an amused chuckle.

Mick threw another glare towards her but it only managed to amuse her more so Mick just harrumphed as he walked up the stairs and left.

"Let's go then, shall we?", Dacre said as he offered an arm to Vicki, who took it without a hitch.
