Back at the Clinton slash Hewson mansion, Cashel was living and absolutely enjoying episode two of "Living in a Mansion". He thought there was going to be just one episode so when Charles said he wasn't going anywhere, he felt it was kinda weird but he was at the same time excited. It's not everyday you get to leave in a mansion, even though it was just one more day.
Cashel wasn't really sure why Charles made him stay here while everyone else went back to school but he had an idea. He knew it had something to do with him transitioning into a werewolf for the first time on a night that didn't even have a full moon but he didn't think anything of it so he wasn't complaining. He got another day off of school and he could basically do anything he wanted in this big ass mansion since he was all alone, as long as kept in mind that he was just a guest so he couldn't actually do anything he wanted. But hey, there was nobody around to witness what he was going to do since Charles had basically disappeared after dropping off the Hewson brothers at school. He literally had the whole mansion to himself, that is until Charles got back from wherever he was.
So, after his thrilling and borderline educative endeavor at the indoor pool, he quickly got under the shower for the second time. He might be a full werewolf now but he was a damned fish alone under that 20×40 feet pool. He went to the kitchen after a thirty minutes long debate and snatched some ice cream from the freezer and made his way to the main living area of the mansion to watch TV.
He knew his way around the mansion since the Hewson brothers had given him and the others a tour around on the first day back to school. That tour was actually quite funny cause it turned out that the three brothers didn't fully know their way around and the group ended up getting lost in this big ass maze of a mansion.
After a few minutes of switching through different channels, he finally decided to watch some anime. So he was shook when he suddenly heard footsteps behind him.
"What the hell are you doing", came Charles's voice. He was clearly annoyed.
Cashel immediately got up to try and explain himself but Charles it turned out that Charles wasn't mad because of the ice cream or anything else Cashel thought he would be mad at but he was actually mad because Cashel had his feet in the white Italian leather couch.
"My Italian leather", Charles said as he rushed over to check if Cashel had left any dirt on the couch. Luckily, it was still spotless. "Never put your dirty feet on my couch. Ever", he warned.
"That's what you're mad about?", Cashel asked.
"No, I woke up early and chose to be grumpy all day", Charles said sarcastic which made Cashel chuckle a little. "Of course that what I'm mad at. What else would -- Is that my special ice cream?", he asked when he saw the small bucket of ice cream in Cashel's arms.
"Uhm... Yes", Cashel thought Charles was going to yell at him but Charles rather looked him with a hint of pity in his eyes.
"Aren't you a werewolf? Aren't you supposed to have an enhanced sense of smell?", Charles asked rhetorically, but Cashel nodded anyway.
"You really are hopeless and defective", Charles let out sigh of frustration.
"Hey. I'm not hopeless. Nor am I defective", Cashel said and suddenly started to feel drowsy.
"Oh yeah? Then did you smell the intoxicating herbs in the ice cream?", Charles asked. Cashel's eyes went wide in realisation. "Even without your enhanced senses, you should have at least tasted it", he added.
"That's why it tasted kinda funny", Cashel chuckled.
Charles could only shake his head. Cashel really was hopeless and seemed to already be high on the herbs in the ice cream.
"Here, sit down", Charles took the ice cream from Cashel and sat him down back in the couch. "I have somewhere important to be right now so you're going to have to go to sleep". Since Cashel was high, Charles couldn't have him roaming around the mansion unsupervised.
"Where're you going? On a date?", Cashel asked.
Charles was wearing a casual outfit. But even though it was casual, it was screaming "I'm rich". Charles was the definition of tall, dark and sexy. With his blonde hair, blue eyes, perfectly tanned skin and muscular build, he could make a grown, straight man hard.
"None of your beeswax", Charles said. He touched Cashel's temples and casted a spell. Cashel was immediately knocked out.
Charles immediately put the special ice cream back into the freezer. He went to his garage to chose one of his many cars since he wasn't going to use his favorite mini van. He got in his second favorite car, the only SUV he owned and drove out of the mansion, down the mountain and into town while the other cool cars gathered dust.
After a few minutes of driving, Charles reached his destination, Beaconsdale Hospital. He parked his car in the underground parking lot of the hospital before making his way inside. Charles stopped in his tracks immediately after entering the hospital and let out a sigh as he saw a certain face at the nurses station. A female doctor with blue eyes and blonde hair tied into a messy bun. Charles immediately recomposed himself and walked over.
"Hello", he said.
The doctor turned around and her expression immediately turned sour as she was not please to see Charles. The doctor was actually Selena Clover, Katherine's aunt.
"What do you want, Charles?", she asked, her hostility very obvious.
"Ah, still hostile as ever", Charles said with a smirk.
The relationship between the two was really sour. It wasn't really that big of a deal anymore. Their could be less sour sometimes or more sour but still sour nonetheless and it was all because of Charles Clinton.
Charles and Selena had been friends since high school. In fact, they were great friends, but they were just that; friends. It wasn't until halfway through their senior year of high school in 1991 that they started dating. Their relationship was literally perfect even though Charles was a little bit arrogant and a bit of a douchebag. They were two of the top students and also the most popular kids. Their relationship was really healthy and they didn't keep things from each other which meant that Charles told Selena about him being a warlock and all about the supernatural. Selena actually wasn't as shocked about the whole thing as Charles expected. Their relationship only got stronger from then on. They both got into Harvard University after graduating from high school and continued their relationship that lasted for five years.
In the year 1996, Charles's mother who wasn't always present in his life decided to cut ties with him after revealing some things to him. It turned out that, Charles's mother, who was a witch, had been dead for a long time and was actually a ghost. She had been a ghost, long before she conceived Charles. Even though she was a ghost, she could do anything a person alive could do.
She had been a ghost for a long time so she decided to "move on" and face whatever came after a person died.
After she left, Charles wasn't that affected since he didn't really have a connection with her but he was a little hurt nonetheless. This didn't affect his relationship with Selena, who was always there for him. Their relationship only started to dwindle when Charles's father, who was also a warlock, suddenly came to town. Apparently, he had heard news of his past lover's "moving on" and had personally come to see if it was true.
Charles had never known his dad and he had never really wanted to know about him. The little he knew about his father from his mother, gave him more reasons to not want to know him. While in still in town, Charles's father had somehow decided to make Charles's life miserable. And it turned out that he knew just how to do that.
He emotionally manipulated and tortured Charles to the point that Charles made almost all his friends hate him. Wilson and Selena were the only ones that still wanted to help. Charles knew that things would only get worse if they tried to help so he started to push them away but they proved to be just as stubborn as he was.
Just as Charles had thought, while Wilson and Selena tried to help, it only angered Charles's father more. More so that he killed Wilson just because he could. It was then that Charles knew that his father wouldn't stop unless Charles had nobody left. Using necromancy, one of his many specialities, Charles was able to bring Wilson back to life.
It was then Charles decided it would be best if he left Beaconsdale. So he left, without even patching things up with his friends. Without patching things up with Selena. Charles left to Spain where he met Ivan.
A year later, since his father had not bothered him since he left, Charles returned to Beaconsdale and was able to make up with most of his friends. Selena wanted them to get back together but it turned out that Charles had already moved on and was already in another relationship. Heartbroken, Selena left Beaconsdale, went to medical school and became a doctor. She only returned to Beaconsdale four years ago after hearing that her brother and her sister-in-law had died in a fire. She stayed back to take care of Katherine since they had no living relatives. Selena's and Charles's relationship had been sour ever since.
"What did you expect, Charles? That I'd suddenly start being friendly to you again?", she scoffed. "Nope. Not even in your dreams", she added with a giggle.
"No, I just hoped you'd be less hostile. Seriously, isn't it tiring?", Charles asked with a smirked. Even though he acted like he didn't care, it actually bothered him that Selena was still hostile towards him.
"No, it's actually energizing", Selena smiled.
"Glad to hear", Charles nodded. He was about to say something else when Selena's name was mentioned through the speakers.
"Doctor Selena Clover, Please proceed to the Emergency room".
Selena immediately left, leaving Charles alone with his words stuck in his mouth.
"See you around", he shouted after her to which see ignored and proceeded to the ER like the voice said.
