"Hello? Is anyone there?" William calls out, only to hear his own voice call back to him. "Michael? Henry? Anyone..." William calls out again, in futile hope. "FUCK! WHY CAN'T I EVER WIN?!" William yells. Then, William hears crying. He follows the crying to its source and sees a little girl with black hair and Caucasian skin. Suddenly, the memory of what he did to her fills his mind, and he starts to cry as well. "I'm sorry." He says, while trying to keep himself from breaking down. The girl doesn't respond and continues crying. William puts a hand on the girl's shoulder. "This isn't the end. It can't be. There has to be a way out, right?" William says. The little girl continues to cry, as she shakes her head. "AGH! I WON'T LET HIM WIN AGAIN!" William yells, before taking his hand off of the girl's shoulder. Filled with determination, he runs further into the desolate-looking place. Aside from the desolate look to the place, it still seemed to be populated by all kinds of spirits. All of them seemed to be from different periods in time. William finds this interesting, but he doesn't stop to talk. He needs to find an exit to this place. No matter what.

He eventually gets to a gate, but something is guarding it. Something that he is unable to describe, even while looking at it. "LET ME THROUGH!" William yells. Then, a voice echoes in William's mind. "No. No one is allowed through this gate." The voice says. "Is there any way I can get through?" William asks. "Maybe there is one..." The voice echoes in William's mind. "But it would mean you have little to no chance of entering heaven...." The voice adds. "Sure! Anything! What do I have to do?" William says. "You will have to be the keeper of the souls trapped here, and in purgatory, for the rest of eternity..." The voice says. "Yes, of course! Anything! I need to get back to earth! I'll do anything!" William says. "Very well, then..." The voice says. Suddenly, William feels his soul become bound to this place. Then, the gate opens. "Good luck, William. All those children need their happiest day. They're counting on you to put an end to that demon." The voice says. "Wait, how did you-" William starts to say, before he's sent back to earth.
