And The Problems Continue

As I continued walking in this empty street buried in my thoughts a man approaches me.

It didn't take me too long to realize that he was a Knight of this kingdom and he came to me with a hostile look.

With his suit of armor he took of his helmet revealing his face which was I would describe as manly and slightly cliché.

The sort of knight you read in books with his shining armour and tall stature and a face that would attract women but threaten his fellow men with his golden locks of hair and shaven beard with fierce looking eyes.

"You there, are you a foreigner?" he said with his English accent.

"I am not good sire!" I said mimicking his accent.

Note to self: accents are fun to mimick until it offends the guy with a real one.

With an angry look he approached me and I ran away until another Knight caught me and I well I couldn't fight two trained soldiers at once. Its because I'm sick and not any other reason ehem ehem.

Last thing I remembered was getting hit in the head as I later woke up on a prison cell.

"So your the terrorist who stole a poor merchant's goods to fund your rebellion" said a man who would seem the warden of this prison.

So that's what they said? Wow these officials are idiots who would believe that one merchant would be enough to fund a whole rebellion? I'd take atleast a few travelling merchants, steal from many noblility and probably get bribes from the king or something.

I laugh at the man insultingly.

"You think a teenager like me can start a revolution? I can't even cook much less burn the royal castle!"

The warden opened the cell and beat me senseless.

"Listen now boy that's not what you are going to say! You are going to confess to everything"

I looked at him with resilience in my eyes.

He chuckled and fixed his shirt.

"You know your friend had much more intensity in it's stare, heh we then decided to kill that fool and take you instead"

What who? Pent or Terri? Damn it Alister you better be doing your job!

Seeing my worried face the warden carried me up while I could not move being tied up with chains in a chair that fell down as I was beaten.

"Here's how it goes boy, you will admit to orchestrating a revolution and you are going to blame it all on King Lanchor of Regara kingdom"

What? So his part of all this? Damn and I thought escaping to here would prevent this political bull from happening.

"Or what your going to kill me?" as I said that my heart started to beat like crazy imaging being persecuted and all of it ending like this.

The man laughed.

"Your reactions betray you boy! Your terrified of dying aren't you? Little boy gonna cry? I knew you'd be a better scapegoat than that stupid boy"

So it was Pent who was caught. I felt a sense of relief as I know that Pent won't go down easily. He is a genius after all.

"Do youe worst!" I managed to get some courage as I spit on his face.

He reacted to that by giving me another beating. This time more powerful and he exited putting a blindfold in my eyes and after a while and came back and I could hear metallic things as he came back.

He put it down making a ringing sound from the things that I would assume where knives or weapons of sorts.

He pointed something at my face then sliced the corner of my face confirming it was a blade.

"You know I don't like your tongue. Maybe I'll cut it off"

I couldn't control my emotions as I  staggered trying to escape which only made the man more eager to scare me.

"You remember what I told you?"

I paused as I thought of anyway to escape unable to make use of my magic knowing I'm tied down with chains that won't be cut by my swords easily.

He took me by the hair and screamed.

"Can you hear me or shall I cut off your ears first?!!!"

I nodded terrified and unable to see anything or even do anything.

"Alright I'll do it" I said in a trembling voice.

"Good boy, now what will you say to the judge in your trial?"

"I was forced by the King Lanchor to create a rebellion in Euphillia as an attempt to conquer it's kingdom" I muttered.

The man seemed satisfied about it as he left me alone through the night.

As I was left blindfolded and hungry I thought about what was going to happen.

Euphillia would wage war on Regara and posing as an ally Sandieth would do the same and after they put the whole continent in chaos fight it off to see who will be in control.

The common men would become prisoners of war and thousands will die. Young men like me would be forced to join the army as to combat the enemy force.

Without knowing much given as little training as possible many would go in the frontlines and lose their lives for the greed of the Kings of Euphillia and Sandieth which I don't even know damn it!

Morning came but trapped in that cell it felt like eternity unable to sleep or even just to calm down my emotions and finally the blindfolds and chains were removed from me by guards.

The warden was out of sight until I was brought to the city square of an unknown city.

There was a whole mass of people there, dressed like noblemen and from a far I could see some commoners by the gate at some distance curious as to what is happening.

Oh just my execution. As I look at the audience I had a sort of longing to find a familiar face. "Someone, please save me" I thought to myself.

I was forced to a seat as a trial occurred. My lawyer which was my last hope turned out to be the warden who tortured me yesterday and he even came and said I was guilty outright.

The trial was not long and I was soon called to testify. Now I knew what I was expected to say but somehow my mouth wouldn't move and I stood there judged by a whole audience of bloodthirsty noble people. From my side was a scaffold to prepare for when I am hanged to death moments from now.

"Speak!" The judge demanded

I could hear all sorts of murmur from the crowd and I lost all hope. Did Pent also go through this? If so what did he do? What would anyone do?

As I stood thinking of what to say I thought of many different scenarios in my brain of what the people  I admired would do.

Pent would definitely make some sick joke. Prince would assert his inosence for sure. Argus? Hm he would burn this whole place to a crisp, Alister might try to negotiate but what would I do?

I pinched my arm to wake me up. Who the hell cares? I'm just going to die anyway might as well go out with a bang.

"I'm sick of you idiots!" I shouted

The crowd responded with vicious stares and the warden kinda choked in his drink after hearing my insult.

"You all are corrupt and untrustworthy! Why the hell would I confess to something I didn't do? I did nothing wrong! But you wouldn't believe me would you? You only came here to see my head hung! You are sick and vile creatures and you-"

I was cut off by the warden no longer allowing me to speak any further he brandished his sword and was about to kill me now and neither the crowd nor the guards and judge showed any resistance to it.

" Stop" a man shouted from the audience.

He came forward and it was the knight who captured me.

"Do not let this man take his last breath believing we are monsters" he said.

"I believe you boy and I want you to know that the people of Sandieth are loyal, trustworthy and have integrity! Therefore I give you a chance as a mercy of the people of Sandieth. I challenge you to a death match. If you truly are saying the truth then the gods will be on your favor and you will be freed"

He offered and with his knightly personality managed win over the crowd and the judge and they allowed it.

The warden obviously pissed sheathed his sword back and freed me.

I was given a month to train but was not allowed to leave Sandieth kingdom but that was the least of my problems. That knight's name is Winchester the Sword Saint and his magic was still unknown to me but from what I found out he defeated 3 Euphilian Knights at the same time without even using his magic as a handicap.

With nobody willing to help me and no money or clue what to do I am in quite a dilemma about to fight one of this country's greatest warrior in a month.
