Chapter 5 - Humiliation

He had two companions who were also familiar to me. I will never forget them because they were the group of students who accused me of throwing juice here at the resto. They are only 2nd year, but they act as if they are veterans here in the university.

I really wanted to give them a frosty look, but I held back myself. I'm not going to start a trivial mess with these idiots.

"What's the matter? Do you have a new research paper for me to do ?" I calmly asked them.

Neo scoffed, obviously offended with my question, then threw several pages of paper on my face. I still maintained my calmness even after hearing the gasps of people near us who saw what he did.

"Are you fucking kidding us?!" He shouted at me, then he snatched my collar and pulled me closer to his face. Disgusting. "Did you forget how much we paid you for these papers?" He lowered his voice while asking that so only we can hear it.

He's obviously cautious about it. Well, if the higher-ups at school know that they pay me in exchange for their school paperwork, not only will I be expelled, but they will be kicked out as well.

No one can tell on me. If they do, I'll just drag them with me. As simple as that. Others who know what I'm doing are also afraid to report me because when I drop the names of those who paid me for my service, of course, those will be expelled.

When that happens, those people will hunt not only me but also those ones who tattled us.

If they hold me by the neck with this secret, they know very well that I have a more rigid grip on their throats than them.

"Do you know how much our professor humiliated us because of this bullshit?" He repeatedly tapped my cheek while threateningly looking at me. "If you are paid, do your fucking job, you piece of trash. Otherwise, I do not have a choice but to show you your place. Got it?"

I just stared at him, not even intimidated even a little. Yeah yeah. Whatever.

That evidently hurt his ego, and his expression crumpled. "I asked you, didn't I?!" Fuming with anger, his grip on my collar git tighter.

I just looked at the papers scattered on the ground. "Based on the remark written by your professor, I did well in making this, but you just didn't explain it properly, so you were dropped." I removed his grip on my collar with force.

Damn. My uniform is messed up.

I picked up the page with the remark from their professor and showed it to them as proof.

His teeth chattered in clenching. "You're too stupid to explain, so we didn't understand!"

I sighed loudly. I wonder how these people can live without brains? "I tried to explain every page to you guys, but you just kept using your phones."

"Shut your trap!" the one with so many corners on his face shouted at me. He's Sid. "Give us back what we paid for, or you won't be able to walk home." he threatened.

"It's too far to walk anyways." I blurted out with a sarcastic tone.

That already hit the end of Neo's patience. "You bastard!" He's about to punch me...

"Adora's Lugawan," I said calmly without even blinking, and suddenly his fist halted in the air. His eyes widened because of what I said and his angered expression morphed into a shocked look.

I smirked, seeing how dumbfounded this fool was. "I know, it's just near Tagaytay. I ate there once, and then I talked to the lady owner."

He blinked a few times then the color drained from his face.

His other underling approached me, who looked like a living potato. Too fat and too short. He was only up to my shoulder, so to meet my gaze, he needed to look up. Joey. "What are you blabbering about?! I think this one has lost some screws from his head!"

"Are you sure you really want to know?" I eyed Neo and then smiled, more like a sinister smirk.

He glared, and traces of fear was visible on his face. He's actually threatened with what could come out of my mouth.

It will be the end of his arrogance when his friends found out that his mother was actually a porridge seller. After he told them that she was working abroad as an architect, he'll surely lose his face.

I found that out when I once passed that place on my way home from university. I ate there before going home to the dome. The owner of that place noticed me. She was so proud that his son was also attending Soledad University because of my uniform.

I didn't pay much attention to what she was saying, and I was about to leave, but I saw Neo go straight into the store. He did not see me, and I did not expect to hear the lady owner call him 'son' .

What I knew that time was his mother works abroad because he boasted that too much when I briefed them about the research paper. That's when I found out that it was just made-up.

"Joey, come on. Don't mind this trash anymore. We're just wasting our time here." Neo blocked Joey, who was about to attack me.

I wanted to laugh, seeing how his tail suddenly hid between his legs.

His two underlings obviously did not expect that and were confused with his sudden change of tone.

"What's wrong, bro?" Sid asked, dumbfounded.

He couldn't answer.

I smirked.

My Win.

"If you want, I'll just make a summary of this research and then just memorize it and present it. I'll just send that to your email." I picked up those papers and put them in my bag.

I thought the conversation was over, but Neo took his wallet from his pocket and took some bills. Then, he threw it on my face again.

Uncultured swine.

"There. An advance for the summary you mentioned. We know too well that every time you are asked to do something, there must be money." He said that to insult me, but I'm already used to it that I'm already numb.

I even smiled to show I was happy instead of offended. "Great that you know what to do." I was going to pick up the money on the ground, but he kicked it, so it flew not too far.

I was stunned by what he did.

His underlings laughed like it's the funniest thing they've ever witnessed.

My jaws tightened, and my hand slowly clenched. To think, they can go to this lowly extent.

I can feel so many eyes were watching us, and others were also recording a video of us with their phones.

My rationality was already succumbing with rage, and my vision was getting dark while my teeth were gritting with fury.

"Now pick that up and use that to buy your food, or you'll certainly starve." He pushed me in the direction where the money was, like I'm some kind of a pushover, which made me already snapped.

I snatched his arm and was about to show him who he messed with when...

"Hey Fucker Neo!"

Someone called Neo from behind me that made me stop from attacking him. That also made the three glared at that person, but suddenly, fear was visible in their eyes.

I was intrigued, so I turned around and saw Bobby picking up the money that Neo kicked earlier.

The sleeves of his polo shirt tightened on the arm. It was about to be ripped with the size of his muscle, then he stood up straight when he's done picking those. I noticed he was carrying a takeaway paper bag of siomai in his other hand.

"Do you know you'll attract bad luck when you throw money like that?" He approached us, more likely the three, and his muscles tightened as he clenched his fists. "Why do you have to do that? Doesn't this fit in your wallet anymore?" He was smiling, but his teeth were obviously gritting as the vein came out of the side of his forehead.

To be continued...
