Attitude...!

"Are you awake...?" Kazumi asked with her eyes glowing red.

Still rubbing his eyes and then yawning lazily, Asahi asked said;

"Yeah...what's up?"

Still glaring angrily, visibly furious, Kazumi was silent, still devising a means on how to end that girl called Madgalene...

Noticing she was silenced and looked like she might kill someone, Asahi went forward to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

Still thinking of a way to waste Madgalene, Kazumi felt a hand in her shoulder.

"Kazumi...!" Someone called her name.

Immediately she felt the hand on her shoulder, Kazumi's eyes snapped to look up at the mirror to find Asahi staring at her.

Still staring, Asahi asked while furrowing his eyebrows;

"Are you okay...?"

Sighing while standing straight, she looked at herself in the mirror before turning to face him.

"I'm fine..." She said in hoarse voice.

Asahi, knowing pretty well that something was up, he asked further.

Raising her face through her her chin, he said;

"I think I know you better than that..."

Kazumi kept staring into his eyes, looking from left to right.

Not getting an answer, Asahi asked again.

"What's wrong...?!" The tone in his voice this time caught Kazumi off guard.

Moving her face away, she turned to look at the mirror.

"It's because of that little peasant at your workplace earlier today...!" She whined.

Asahi though for a bit.

"Madgalene....?" He asked.

"I don't know what her at stupid name is, I just want to get rid of her...!" Kazumi kept in whining like a child.

"I have never been insulted like that in my whole life...!" She said.

"Even if I have been insulted, it wouldn't get to the extent of some peasant girl, that doesn't even earn up to half of what I earn in a week, talk to me, in such a disrespective manner...is she the boss or what...?" Kazumi bragged.

Asahi kept on staring at her while in thoughts.

"She kept in blabbing her mouth and ,You couldn't even do anything...!" She pushed the blame to Asahi.

Asahi that had been in thoughts since her second whining and complaining, snapped out of his thought to pay attention to Kazumi when she pointed at him.

"Hmmm, what'd you say...!"

"I said, she was there having her blabbermouth conference, and you couldn't even stand up to her...!" Kazumi repeated.

Asahi's eyes widened in disbelief.

"I believe you have memory issues...!" Asahi had insulted.

Kazumi's eyes eyed him before narrowing.

Giving a scoff, she said;

"Oh really...?!" She asked.

"Yes really...!" Asahi answered.

"How can you say that...weren't you there with your eyes seeing through your mouth when I had asked her if she had forgotten her manners...?" Asahi asked.

Kazumi just glared at him.

"And....?" She asked non-chalantly.

Asahi's eyes widened the more.

"And...?" He asked in disbelief.

"And...?" He asked again.

Kazumi not seeing how bad she reacted, shrugged her shoulders and said;

"Yeah 'And', so...?!" She asked again also non-chalantly.

Asahi sighed.

What had he gotten himself into...?

"What I you want...?" He asked.

Kazumi's eyes narrowed at how he wasn't smart enough to come up with a punishment on his own, but was asking her what she wanted.

"What do I want...?!" She asked while pointing at herself.

Asahi just stared at her.

"What do I want...?!" She asked again as if she being asked a ridiculous question.

"I want her to be tortured...!" She said.

Asahi's eye rows furrowed.

"How do you want her to be tortured...why do you want her to be tortured...?" He asked again not sure he had the power to do it.

Kazumi gave him a look with mixture of disbelief and ridicule.

"You sound as of you haven't been in the business before...!" She said.

As Kazumi said this, something flashed in Asahi's memory.

Shaking his head vigorously, Asahi said;

"NO...!"

"I don't want in...!" He added.

Seeing his reaction, Kazumi smiled. A wicked smile that had the devil in it.

She knew he remembered.

"I know you remember, and I know you promised yourself no to do it anymore...!"

"I PROMISED MYSELF, IT WOULDN'T REPEAT ITSELF...!" He said furiously, wondering why Kazumi had used this opportunity to bring up that topic.

He had buried it a long time ago and had forgotten about. Kazumi bringing it up now, wa alike waking up memories he didn't want to remember and ghosts he didn't want to see.

It was even her fault all that happened on the past, happened.

Now she wants to evoke another chaos and curse upon him..? Shaking his head, he kept on  saying;

"I CAN'T DO IT...I CAN'T DO IT...IM NOT GONNA DO IT...!" At first he said these words in his mind...then he said it out loud.

"I CAN'T DO IT...!" He finally said it so that Kazumi would hear.

Kazumi looked at him as if in disbelief.

Frowning, Kazumi asked;

"You can't do what...?

"I can't do that bidding...!" He finally said.

"I promised to  help you deal with a person and not kill...!" He said.

"I already have enough blood on my hands and I'm okay...!" He's added.

"I've asked for forgiveness from her and, even though she might not forgive me, I have done my part...even though her parents wouldn't forgiven me if they knew I was the one that had done it, I asked for forgiveness and I promised...!" He paused.

"I promised myself and I promised her...!" Asahi was cut short.

"In the grave...?!" Kazumi asked ridiculously.

Asahi's eyes shot a glare at her.

"In the grave...!" Asahi responded.

Asahi wanted to say something more but Kazumi gave a look of giving up before lowering her head down.

Seeing this expression, Asahi sighed and then turned around to back Kazumi.

Kazumi noticed that Asahi had turned to back her.

She raised sher head to look at Asahi's back.

Her eyes welled up with tears.

Asahi heard her sniffing gently.

He turned to look at her.

He could see the tears that had gathered and we're now overflowing down heavily.

Asahi could feel his heart breaking but he looked away.

Kazumi saw this and she was happy, thinking that she could break him, so she increased her tears.

Asahi, guessing what she was up to, said;

"Kazumi, stop what you're doing right now, coz it's not gonna get you anywhere...you're only increasing your lost chances of getting helped, SO JUST STOP!" He said firmly in a loud voice that caught Kazumi off-guard and she stopped crying immediately.

As if he had hurt her, Asahi sighed and looked away.

After some time, he walked towards the bed, standing beside it, he bent down to pick up his clothes, wore his shirt and buttoned it, looked at Kazumi who was standing there staring into space.

As she stared into space, Asahi walked towards the door. Putting his hand on the handle he paused for a moment, sighed and then looked over his shoulder to look at Kazumi.

She still stood frozen in the same spot.

Opening his mouth to say something, words could not form, but, after a out five (5) seconds he gathered the courage to say what was on his mind.

"I really wanted to help you Kazumi, I really did...!" Pausing a bit, he then went on to say;

"But your attitude stopped me from doing so...!"

He wasn't sure If Kazumi was hearing what he was saying, but Kazumi heard every single word.

"He had a really ad attitude Kazumi...fix it, or that's how you'd be losing help that domes your way...no wonder everyone's falling for Masami and no you...!"

Those last few words had Kazumi grit her teeth and clench her fists.

Asahi held his breath, he realized he shouldn't have said that, but, the words had already left his mouth and they cannot return.

Turning her head slightly in his direction, Kazumi said;

"So you also consider me a 'Use and dump'?!" Kazumi asked.

Asahi sighed.

"That's not what I meant...!" He quickly said.

Turning to face him fully, Kazumi asked;

"What'd you mean then?!"

Asahi could see the negative energy radiating from Kazumi, therefore, he didn't speak.

Not getting a reply, Kazumi asked again;

"What'd you mean then...?!"

"If I am not regarded as a 'Use and Dump' what'd you mean then...?!" She asked furiously.

Shaking his head, Asahi said;

"I didn't say that...I never said that...!"

"I just...!" He said stopping mid-way and sighing.

"I just...you're just being...YOU'RE ATTITUDE IS GETTING ON MY NERVES, and I can't take it anymore...!" He said.

"You're not strong enough...!" Kazumi said.

Asahi looked at her sternly with furrowed eyebrows.

"What do you mean by that...?!" He asked sternly.

"You're not strong enough to fight...!" Kazumi clarified.

"You can't last up to five (5) minutes on the battlefield...you can't fight for your loved ones when needed...you are too weak to even be a leader...I wonder how you secured the post you hold now as the 'Boss'" Kazumi placed a stress on the 'Boss' part to emphasize her point.

Asahi couldn't argue any further an just left the room.

Kazumi smiled.

A smile that held no good in them!
