CHAPTER 6

"So what's todays' plans?" Jess asked sleepily drinking her coffee.

I sat down next to her and pour myself a cup of coffee. I picked a piece of brownie from her plate causing her to pull her plate away. "Get yours please Kate! Don't touch my chocolate!"

Pouting i pulled a plate towards me and took two brownies just to annoy her and also because i was feeling hungry.

"The plan is to spend time together today." Luke said while eating his pancakes.

"And the guys are joining us today. So probably clubbing time tonight." Chase said referring to our group of friends.

"Sounds good." Both Jess and I said together.

"So what are we going to do for the day?" Amelia mom asked Luke.

"We can go out after breakfast. The mall or something. Then there's a new restaurant that just opened in the beach itself. Its called 'On the Waves'. We can have lunch there.

And since its close to the beach house, we can walk home and then spend some time on the beach."

My dad and Adam dad both said the idea was great. "The guys can come here directly and you can all get ready here itself before going out. Us adults can go out for dinner and a movie."

Everyone agreed with the plans. After breakfast Luke and Chase chased us away asking us to go and get ready as we took too much time. Not true at all!

Jess headed to her room while i went into mine. I went into the washroom and removed my clothes and got into a black bikini. I pulled my jeans short over it and headed back to the room.

I put on my white converses and stood in front of the wardrobe, hands on hips, looking for a matching top.

"Put on the grey one. It matches your smoky eyes." Chase stood leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed put so much emphasis on his muscles.

"What if i want to wear the green one to match your eyes?" i said grinning at him only for him to shrug his shoulders.

He walked towards me. Eyes roaming my body until they stopped on my tattoo. I felt a shiver run down my body. What was happening to me?

I quickly pulled on the green top and headed over the mirror and pulled my hair into a high ponytail.

"Does he know about it?"

"Who knows about what Chase?" What's seriously wrong with him. How am i supposed to make sense of this kind of question?

"Nash! Your so called boyfriend. Does he know about the tattoo?" so that's what this was about? A shadow crossed his face and i felt the need to comfort him. Just like always.

I went to stand in front of him putting my hands around his waist and tilting my head slightly so that i could look into his eyes. "No. He does not know."

Instantly his mood changed and he grinned at me. Chase and his mood swings!

"Does Claire know about yours?"

"Yeah she saw it when she was examining my tribal tattoo. And she kind of went berserk."

"That's why she hates me!" i shouted causing Chase to laugh.

"Baby girl. Just like i said, she looked at me closely. So if Nash did not see yours, i an guessing he has not yet looked at you that close?" he was smirking at me.

"You need to stop guessing Chase!" i yelled and pulled away from him. But he pulled me closer, wrapping his own hands around my waist and kissing me on the head.

"Let's go!" And we went to join the others together still unable to stop grinning at each other.

Adam dad had called a cab to take us to the mall as we would be walking back. We had to cram a little in the car so that we could all fit in. I sat on Jess so that we all could get a place. Jess and I were laughing like crazy causing everyone else to groan at us. This made us laugh harder.

Once at the mall, i got out as quick as i could to stretch my legs. Being crammed in a car was no fun at all.

We went to the beach section at first. Jess bought herself a blue bikini and i bought a red one. It was the colour of red wine. I saw another one. It was a two piece beauty and green. Just like the top i was wearing and just like Chase's eyes.

I owned too many things in that colour i said to myself and went to join Jess tonpay for our purchases.

Our next stop was the accessories shop. A girl can't have too many accessories. I bought a bracelet that had a little heart and key dangling on it. It was too pretty.

We went into all the shops that the mall had until we could no longer avoid our rumbling stomach. The cab was already waiting to take us to the restaurant. We were once again crammed together. And this time too hungry to joke around.

Luke was right. The restaurant was on the beach itself. You could hear the waves crashing. You could smell the sea. It looked like a fairy-tale.

We headed inside and someone led us to our reserved table. We got a place next to a glass window where we could see the magnificent beach.

We ordered our food and drinks. I choose a chicken spaghetti with extra cheese and a chocolate milkshake. We were too hungry to talk. The food was finished in no time.

When we finished, we sat back and enjoyed our drinks while making small talks. Once we felt capable of walking, we left the restaurant for a walk on the beach.

Few metres away, Luke bought everyone ice creams which we ate while heading to the beach house. It was a walk of ten minutes. When we reached the beach house, we all went to keep our purchases and headed back to the beach where we sat and enjoyed our own company for some time.
