Amell pushes open the door heading straight for the recipient counter. He gazes at the policewomen with confidence written all over his face. “Can you let Zadie Davis know I’m here?” Amell leans against the counter with a wink. Confusion crosses her face, “But sir, she left twenty minutes ago.”

Amell stands up right now, sharing her confusion. “Are you sure? I was just outside and didn’t see her.”

“Yes. The other officer and I saw her walk out ourselves.” She glances to the other guard for support. He nods in response.

Amell walks back outside without another word. “I must have missed her.” Amell thinks to himself then searches outdoors.

There’s no sign of Zadie anywhere. Amell touches the white metal object attached to his ear lobe. The line rings twice.

“This is Blade.”

“Hey, it’s Amell. Did you, by chance, pick up Zadie?” Amell bites his lower lip nervously. “Umm, no, I didn’t. Was I supposed to?” Blade replies with a coldness to his voice.
