A platinum blonde-haired man sits behind a desk, scribing on a paper in front of him. The large room contains a desk in the middle. To the left is a long table with many chairs around it. The other side has a pool table beside a hanging flatscreen.

“You may go now,” the man glances up at Dan with cold red eyes. Dan bows before speeding out of the room, shutting the door behind him. Once Dan is gone, Ernons face relaxes as he meets his daughter's eyes for the first time in years.

A smile reaches his lips, he rubs his chin strap beard.

Zadie's heart pounds loudly; she can sense each beat in her eardrums. She silently scolds herself for feeling excited like a child is after their father gets home from work.
