Xariya's Point of View

"You ordered too much, Lucas. Can we finish all of these?" I was embarrassed to ask Lucas that who was just sitting in front. He wiped his mouth with the side towel on the table before speaking.

"It doesn't matter if we finish these or not." Lucas says.

Nate and I are just glancing at each other, we both know that the price of what we will eat tonight is very expensive. It'll be unfortunate if we won't finish it. I feel like we are eating gold.

So, we started eating and it was only Lucas who keeps on talking. I don't want to talk right now, I want to focus on eating.

"This is my way of saying my gratitude. Thank you for letting me stay in your house." Lucas added and smiled.

Wow! His teeth are all white and even.

He's so handsome, oh my gosh. I seem to have a hard time identifying who's more handsome between him and Dr. Luke Matteo. Dr. Luke is so kind while Lucas here is very humble, he does not brag. He didn't even judge what Nate and I were wearing today. While look at him! He looks like a prince!

"Are you saying that you'll leave now?" Nate asked while holding a spoon.

"Yes. Even though our agreement is two weeks. You both know that my life is in danger and I thought that you might get hurt. I don't want to cause trouble to you guys. You're such a good people." Lucas smiled again.

"That was nothing, but I was also nervous." Nate said and laughed, Lucas laughed together with him too.

After that, the three of us talk about some light stuffs. Also, when someone else passes by who seems to have a same status in life like Lucas, Lucas introduces us to them. It's pretty embarrassing at first but I did not complain anymore.

After we ate, Nate and I wandered around. Lucas, on the other hand, excused himself because he will talk to someone.

"I'll see you later, then." Lucas said and disappeared from our sight.

The chandelier is beautiful, every thing looks so expensive, the people here are the same, they look expensive too. There are also musicians who plays the piano, violin and other instruments so the ambient sound is very classical.

I feel like I'm in the movie entitled Titanic and, of course, I'm Rose in my little imagination.

"Let's go to the railings of this ship." I invited Nate and pulled him over.

"Huh? Why? Stay here, you might just fall there." Nate refused so I stopped. My cousin is one hell of a kill joy person!

"Come on, cousin dear! In the movie Titanic, Jack and Rose met there on the railings of the ship! There they stood and Rose said 'I'm flying, Jack!' While Jack was holding Rose's waist." I answered and I even imitated Rose's position in the movie with both arms raised as if I'm flying.

"I know, Xari. But Jack does not exist now. Stop assuming that you're Rose." Nate answered and turned his back on me.

So I did nothing but go alone to the railings. There were also a few people there and most of them were lovers or couples looking down. They are looking at the sea.

"What are they looking at here, fish?" I asked myself as I reached the top railings and bowed a bit but I could see nothing but water.

"You can't see fishes in this hour, It's too dark."

I almost let go of my grip on the railings because I was so shocked when someone spoke behind me. I just felt a hand pulling me on my waist.

I almost fell!

"You could have fall, it's good that I caught you." Ken said while his arm is still in my waist.

What is Ken doing here?

I could not move and all I can do is to stare at the sea and moon in front of me. I could feel the cold air touch my skin. While Ken was still behind me and his hands were still on my waist.

I'm really on titanic now, I can feel it...

Without hesitation the instrumental version of the Titanic theme song 'My Heart Will Go On' played around.

I was even more speechless. I could feel what was happening. And I did not realize that my two hands were raised as if flying.

"Close your eyes Xari, I can be your Jack." Ken whispered.

Nate's Point of View

"Lucas! I thought you're talking to someone?" I said when I saw Lucas came back on our table again.

I left our table a while ago to go to the comfort room and came back again. So, I'm staying here for hours now, I think.

"We are done talking." He answered and sat in front of me. I even saw his brows slightly furrowed while looking at the empty seat beside me.

"Where's Xari?" He asked and I smirked, his brows furrowed again too.

"I don't know, maybe she fell on the water and get drowned." I answered and even laugh at the thought of my cousin falling down on the water.

Lucas, on the other hand, did not laugh. He just eyed me seriously so I got serious too.

"She's probably on the railings right now, enjoying her time with herself." I answered and Lucas nodded then he stood up.

"Hmm? You're going to my cousin, are you?" I asked teasingly.

"Yes, the ship's too big. She might get lost." I laugh at his answer. This idiot is so obvious.

"Come on, Lucas. Xari hates those people who disturbs her, so better sit down here and wait. She'll be back in no time, I'm sure of that." I said so he sat down again, hesitantly this time.

Few minutes later, Lucas ordered a bottle of wine for us and we started talking about things. Most of it are our teenage days.

"Ever had girlfriends back then?" I asked and he proudly nodded before drinking on his shot glass.

"Well, girls want me so it's impossible not to have one. How 'bout you?" He said and asked at the same time.

"Nah, don't have much time for that back then. I only focus on playing." I said so he smirked at me.

"Weak." He teased so I showed him my fist but he only laughed at that. "How about Xariya, though?" He asked again.

"That cousin of mine had many crushes back then and all of them rejected her, the reason why she's still single up to now." I answered and laughed again when I remembered Xariya crying because of her crushes that rejects her always.

Lucas did not comment something about that so I just continued speaking. He's just listening intently.

"I hate to admit this but Xari's really pretty, but sadly, those guys she liked are not really interested on her." I added. This time, Lucas spoke.

"I guess, she should try liking guys who likes her so she'll not be rejected." Then he partnered it with a laugh at the end.

"Like you?" I asked teasingly. This guy is so obvious, really.

When I said that, Lucas almost choke but he managed to eye me sharply. I just smirked at him.

"Are you saying that I like your cousin?" He asked seriously and of course, I nodded proudly.

I won't complain if she likes Xari, he looks like a good man for her but it's too early. He should for years, let's say a decade? Kidding. That's absurd!

He did not say anything because he's now looking to something behind me. I looked back, feeling curious of where is he looking but I did not saw anything or anyone familiar. Just high-standards people talking to each other.

"You seeing a ghost, my man?" I asked while wandering my eyes around.

"Nah," He answered and suddenly stood up so I furrowed my brows. Where is he going again? "Just a minute, I need to talk to someone." He said and started walking away.

He didn't even let me say anything! Tsk, tsk.

I'm left alone again here so I decided to text Xariya.

To: Xariya

Where are you? Come back here, I'm drinking alone now.

I was laughing while typing it because I put a cute emoticon at the end.

I waited and waited for minutes but Xariya didn't reply.

Do not tell me that she really fell on the water? If yes, she's not Xariya the Witch anymore, she'll be Xariya the Fish.

To: Xariya

Why are you not replying? Don't you love your handsome cousin anymore?

I messaged her again but just like the first one, she did not reply. I just shrugged it off because I know that she can handle herself.

I hid my phone on my pocket and finish the bottle of wine Lucas ordered for the both of us. I'm confident to finish it off because I don't get drunk easily, I have a high alcohol tolerance, if you want to know.

"Are you alone, handsome?" Oh? I tilted my said so I could see the woman who held my shoulder.

"I know I'm handsome, but sorry, I'm not alone now." I said earning a frown from her. She immediately left but I do not care.

Coz frankly speaking, I personally do not like those girls who does the first move. I believe I should do the first move because I'm a man, who's very handsome, of course.

I thought of many things alone there for half an hour, I guess? That's a long time and Xari is still not here so I texted her again but she didn't reply again.

I wonder where is she now?
