Dainty's Point of View

I am seriously sitting here in the office, I just came from the Engineering Company where I work as an architect.

I bid my goodbye to them, even though I was against of leaving, I still had to do it. Ma'am Gigi and Sir Adrian were surprised but I could not say my real reason to them, it was good that they didn't ask me questions anymore and they just agreed. They also told me that if I want to come back again, they will welcome me.

I sighed heavily.

I have so much work that I feel like I'm becoming a witch. I'm an architect, I am still repairing RD's house, I am still practicing as a secret agent, then I suddenly become a CEO, and I even become a Montero!

I leaned back on the swivel chair I was sitting in and let out a sigh again.

"Hey Dainty, why?" I asked myself. I looked at the ring I was wearing. I bit my lip.

I miss my old life.

Ever since I met Ken Montero, my life seems to be getting complicated. RD is gone, and so much more.

Speaking of Montero, I have not talked to him for a week since Xariya, Pauline and I ate. I don't get that guy, he seems to be having a drama in life.

But Vincent said that Montero was always in the A.O and busy taking care of everything there. But also every time I go there, I don't see him so I just practiced alone.

I looked at the clock on the office wall. It was seven thirty-five in the evening so I decided to have a dinner first at the cafeteria below. I was about to leave here inside my office when Alex suddenly came in with a big plastic bag hanging on her arm. I'm guessing that it was a formal dress.

Is it for me? Before I could ask that, she spoke.

"Hi, Mrs. Montero, Mr. Kendrix said you should wear this because you will be having a dinner together with him." Alex said bluntly. I was immediately taken aback by what she said. So that dress is for me?! But, why? We will only be having a dinner!

"Pardon?"

"Mrs. Montero, you should get ready now. Mr. Kendrix is waiting for you downstairs." Alex added.

"Huh? Downstairs? We will eat downstairs, then why should I wear that?" I asked, confused.

"No, Ma'am. You will not eat in the cafeteria. Do you want me to fix you too?"

I was immediately shaken by what Alex said and my chest pumped hard. What does Montero want to do now?

I did nothing but follow and took the dress that Alex was holding.

It's a long black dress up to the floor. There are also beads surrounding it and glowing. It has a slit that surprised me.

"My! What if my soul will be seen?" I asked nervously to myself.

My back is covered so I did not complain anymore. But it fits all over my body and it's also an off shoulder style. I did not fix my face because I was too lazy to do it. And I want to make Montero know that I'm not in the mood today.

I wore a ponytail and I also wore shades. I also wore shoes without heels because I'm afraid to fall down. Ha! I looked like an arrogant lady! I also did not bring a bag because just like what I said, I'm feeling too lazy.

When I left the office, the employees there immediately looked at me.

"Wow Mrs. Montero, you look great!" Alex said happily as if she's seeing Aphrodite now.

So, I thanked her. "I didn't really put any make up, so thank you!" I did not mean to brag, understood?

Everyone praised me there before I finally left.

Alex accompanied me downstairs because I was about to fall. I step on the fabric of my clothes lying on the floor. It's really a good thing that I did not wear high heels!

"Uh, Mrs. Montero, you're not used to this kind of dress, aren't you?" Alex asked as we walked and she held my other arm.

"It looks like that..." I answered calmly but in my mind, I am cursing Montero for making me wear this dress!

"I see, so when Sir Renz and you are having dinner or on your date, you don't wear dresses like this?" She asked again. I somewhat see Pauline in her.

"Huh? Of course." That's all I said because I don't know what to say anymore.

"Maybe that's the reason why Sir Renz likes you. But he didn't introduce you to us. Only Mr. Kendrix did maybe he's really taking care of you, what do you think, Ma'am?" Alex added again.

"Huh? I don't think so..." I answered and scratched my head.

"Don't be shy, Mrs. Montero." Alex added as if she was thrilled.

If I hadn't really been lame with these clothes, I would have left Alex here and walk alone. She is full of stories and it's all about RD!

Luckily, we saw Montero leaning on his car and staring at his watch. He looks bored. I glanced at his clothes and he is wearing a black long tail tuxedo.

"Mr. Kendrix is so handosome!" Alex whispered to me.

"Yep, but he's a coward." I even smirked. After a while, Montero looked at Alex and me, then he approached us.

"Thank you, Alex." He said and looked at me.

"It's good that you wore it. I thought you were going to complain again." He teased.

I didn't answer because he might notice that I am really annoyed with him.

"You're so handsome, Sir." Alex said and giggled. She seriously can't hold back.

"Thank you, Alex. We will be leaving now." Montero answered and walked to his car.

Maybe it's a new car. Because last week when we ate, he used a white BMW but now it is black.

"It is a Bentley Continental. So yeah." He says.

My eyes widened.

At the A.O, I also studied various luxury items that I need to know.

"Bentley? The top two?" I asked in shock. He nodded and opened the car door for me.

"Wow. This is expensive." That's all I can say. I'm too amazed.

I heard him laugh before sitting in the driver's seat next to me. "Well, I'm Kendrix Montero." He answered.

I rolled my eyes, what an arrogant coward.

He then started driving when he spoke again.

"That dress you are wearing almost cost 13.5 million. I'm glad that it suits you. That kind of dress suits you somehow." He said and smiled arrogantly.

13 what?!

To my great surprise, I could not speak. I feel like my dress choked me suddenly.

"Mr. Kendrix, Dainty!" An expected man greeted us but I can't greet Vincent back because I am still so shock about this dress of mine.

Maybe Montero is just fooling me around? But it's not his nature to lie and he has eyes for expensive things so he's really telling the truth!

"Good evening, Vincent..." I heard Montero greeting Vincent but I am still pre-occupied about the dress.

They started walking towards the table that Montero obviously reserved here so I followed them quietly.

Some people there are greeting Montero and he even introduced me to them as RD's wife. I only smiled at those people, but deep inside, I am so frustrated.

Montero really likes to annoy the hell out of me!

"My, my! You are beautiful! No wonder why Renz Dennis married you!" A lady even said that while eyeing me from head to foot. Vincent beside me is chuckling and whistling.

"Thank you..." I said shyly and Vincent started laughing. Montero on the other hand is smirking.

"You're welcome, dear!" She giggled then look at Montero who is still smirking. I rolled my eyes at him. "How about you, Kendrix? No plans of having a girlfriend, yet?" She asked so I laugh.

Montero's smirk faded so I laughed more. That's what you get for being too arrogant!

"No, I'm busy, I don't have time for that." He answered formally.

"Come on! Girls flock on you! You can pick whoever you want!" The lady said again. Montero looks annoyed now but he still managed to be formal.

"Oh! He already have his eyes on someone." I interrupted them so the lady looked at me again.

"But too bad, that someone is taken." I said and the lady obviously feel bad for Montero.

She talked to us for a bit before finally leaving us. I even thought that Montero will scold me here but no, he just talked to Vincent and I am just behind them, thinking of what I should eat because I saw many people eating delicious foods here.

Maybe, I'll order all of their food here? I'm sure Montero won't mind, but I don't want to get fat so yeah, I'll just order a little.

"Should I go to my place now, Mr. Kendrix?" I heard Vincent asked Montero as we continued walking.

"If that's what you want, then off you go." Montero said so Vincent nodded and fix himself.

"Where are you going?" I asked Vincent before he could leave.

"I'll eat alone, Dainty." He joked so I frowned at him.

"Kidding, Mr. Kendrix will tell you that later, just enjoy for now." He said again before running away from us.

What does he mean by that? I pursed my lips then looked at Montero who's just busy walking.

Vincent told me that Montero will tell me later, I wonder what it is? I hope it won't make me faint.
