Chapter 7

Shruti's Pov

As days passed, me and Jake started to talk more frequently, I felt so comfortable with him and his family. Daddy and Mummy were so nice to me, they used to call me daily and enquire about my day, even I used to do the same. Whenever I went out for shopping or to meet my friends I always used to inform my parents, now I started to inform Daddy, Mummy and Jake about my whereabouts. Now I am really happy, because now I even have lot many people who cares about me and whom I can call as my family. Even his siblings were so happy with me, me Ed and his siblings used to go out late at night to eat ice- creams and also have late night drive. Even Mamma and Pappa was not having any complaints regarding that. Now there are only two more days left for my marriage fixation ceremony. My outfits and other things are ready and I am super excited. Mamma and Pappa are also super excited about it and they had gone to my hometown to tell my relatives, about everything. And anyway I didn't hear any negative comments from their side. Zara and Sid cannot attend the ceremony, so they are really sad, but they have already told Ed to video call them after reaching Jake's house. They also became so comfortable with Jake, it seems that they are calling daily. Jake used to call my parents too, and that made my parents super happy.

Jake had applied for a leave on Friday, so today he will be coming back home. These days he used to share with me about his works, his stress and everything, he was trying to be free with me. Even I used to share my problems with him and also he used to help me to find its solution. I was enjoying each and every moment of us. I hope that nothing will change after our marriage too. Today it was really a tiring day, and I have to pack my bag so that tomorrow I could directly go from my college to home. It takes two hours to reach my home from the college, so my parents told me to stay in a hostel and guess what my friends Sona, Alayna and Riya are also staying with me. Till now I haven't told them about anything, actually we were busy so couldn't share anything with them. So today I have to tell them, they would be really mad at me for hiding such a big thing, I hope that I will be alive by tomorrow morning. After calling my parents( both mine and Jake's) I started to pack my bag. Jake had messaged me telling about his departure. As I was packing my bag my three idiots came after freshening up, so I decided to disclose the secret to them.

"Riya, Alayna, Sona I want share a good news with you all", I told them and I told them to sit on the nearby bed which is Riya's. And then I told, " Guys please don't make noise and make our warden aunty to come upstairs, so the thing is that, I am gettng engaged as in the sense, my marriage is being fixed on this Sunday and that is why my parents have asked you all to come to my home". Yes Mamma had asked my friends to come home along with me, and they are also coming with me. As soon as I finished telling them they screamed loudly and warden aunty came upstairs thinking that anyone of us might have injured. Then we all got nice scolding from aunty and I don't think anyone of us will be having the dinner after hearing everything from her mouth. As aunty went back to her room, I was attacked by lots of pillows and cloths, they started to beat me for not telling them about it before, but they were happy for me. They asked me to show Jake's pic and I showed them the pic that was taken while they had come to see me. They liked him, and now they were super excited about the event. Actually my friend's parents know about this alliance, as we were having night shifts, I couldn't inform them. Now my friends were freaking out by telling that they didn't have any dress to wear for the function. So I told them that we can purchase the dress either tomorrow or Saturday.

As we were discussing about the function, I got a call from Jake, and seeing that it was Jake who was calling me they started to tease me. I didn't mind their teasing, I picked up the call, he told me that he has boarded the bus and he will reach by tomorrow morning, he asked me about my arrival. I told him that we will be coming tomorrow, and we will be reaching home by night. Then we talked about our day. He also told me about his best friend Sachin. As we were talking I introduced him to my friends and they started to talk like they know each other for so long. Then after telling him to message me after reaching I ended the call. Then after calling it as a day we went to sleep.

Next day we were so busy as there were so many cases, I couldn't even check messages, I just checked whether Jake had messaged me or not and then I replied to his message. We four didn't even get the time to have our lunch, we were asked to assist our senior doctors. At evening 4 pm we four took a leave and went to hostel. I didn't knew that a big surprise is waiting for me at the doorstep of my hostel. Jake had came to take me back to home. I was really surprised to see him. After seeing me standing there surprised, he was smiling. And then I introduced him to my friends, as they had already talked to each other, they weren't any awkwardness. Then after telling him to wait for five minutes, we went to grab our luggage and to inform warden aunty about our departure.

Jake's Pov

I reached home at 6 am, and as soon as I reached, I messaged Shruti, yesterday as I talked to Shruti, I came to know that she was planning on to come home by today evening through bus. So I thought of surprising her. I called Pappa and took his permission to take Shruti back to home from her hostel. Pappa was glad as I took his permission, both Pappa and Mamma was happy and gave me the permission, so I left my home by afternoon after informing my parents about my plans. Pappa had told me the directions, after reaching there an elderly person came and enquired about my arrival, I told her that I was Shruti's fiance, and I have come to take Shruti and her friends back home. She called and asked Pappa whether what I told her is true or not. As it is her responsibility, after confirming it, she talked to me. She asked me about my name, job, and also about my family. It seems that she loves Shruti and she was checking whether I am the perfect match for Shruti. Then by 4 pm I saw Shruti and three girls coming, and it seems that they were her friends to whom I talked yesterday. After seeing me standing there, Shruti was surprised, she was standing still and looking at me as if she was dreaming, and that made me to smile. After confirming that I was real, she came and happily introduced me to her friends, she told me to wait for five minutes and went upstairs.
