Chapter 8

Jake's Pov

After ten minutes I saw Shruti and her friends approaching me while talking to their warden. She was smiling while talking with them. After bidding their warden a good bye, we started our journey. I also informed our parents about our departure. Throughout our journey these girls were talking, I was happy that they were feeling comfortable with me. They are an integral part of her life, so its same for me too, I was happy to have such an awesome sisters in my life. They had to buy some dresses so we went for a mini shopping. Me and Shruti were waiting for them, they were taking a lot of time to finalize their dresses. Girls and their love for shopping... At last, after one hour they had finally finalized their dresses. While they were selecting the dress, Shruti gave me company, I asked her to go and select dresses of her choice, but she told me that she had already gave her dress for stitching. So we both had a chat, were she asked me about how come she didn't know about my surprise visit. And I told her that surprises are meant to kept as secret. From her smiling face I could tell that she was so happy about my surprise visit. At least I could bring a smile on her face, and that made me happy. Then again we started our journey. As it was getting late I thought to stop at some restaurants, I mean they had came directly after their classes so they might be hungry. So I asked them," How about we grab some food? I am sure that you people are hungry." "I was about to tell you that, really I am feeling so hungry", said Riya. So when I saw a good restaurant, I parked the car at the parking lot and followed them to the restaurant. We took a corner table, and had our food while talking about our profession. Then again we started our journey. Riya, Alayna and Sona had fallen asleep already. Only me and Shruti was wide awake so I told Shruti, "Shruti, I know that even you are tired, just take a nap till we reach home, it will take one more hour to reach home." But she rejected my offer telling that she usually doesn't feel to sleep while travelling and then she told me how scared she is to fall asleep while travelling. She told me about the accident that Pappa had undergone years ago while travelling back to home, how he had to undergo the surgery and how afraid they were. So after that she used to give company for Pappa while travelling. She also told me that Mamma had always told her to never fall asleep while sitting in the passenger seat, because that will be a temptation for the person who is driving the car. Actually what Mamma told is correct. So I didn't insist her to sleep anymore. We started to talk. She told how her friends were shocked when she told them about our marriage.

Shruti's Pov

Never in my life I thought that I will get someone in my life who will value my happiness, who will give surprises, I have always read in stories about how their partners surprises them. But that all happens in the world of fantasies not in real life, this is what I thought in my life, but today I would like to correct it, If you are blessed with a real man he will always find a way to bring a smile on your face. Today when I saw Jake at my hostel doorstep I was really surprised and moreover I was feeling so happy. For once I thought that I was dreaming, but after seeing Jake smiling, I understood that it was for real. After leaving the hostel premises we went for shopping as my friends needed to buy their costumes for the event. They took almost an hour to finalize their dress, meanwhile I accompanied Jake as I had already finalized my costume, then we started our journey to home. As we hadn't had our lunch and evening snack we four were feeling hungry, sensing our hunger Jake asked us, "How about we grab some food? I am sure that you people are hungry." "I was about to tell you that, really I am feeling so hungry", said Riya. So when he saw a good restaurant, he parked the car at the parking lot and went inside the restaurant. We took a corner table, and had our food while talking about our profession. Then again we started our journey. Riya, Alayna and Sona had fallen asleep already. Even I was feeling tired, but as I am scared to sleep while sitting in the passenger seat during travelling I didn't sleep. Sensing my tiredness Jake asked me to sleep as there was still time to reach home, but I declined it telling about fears. Then I told him about Pappa's accident which had took place years back. Then we talked a lot and in between our parents made sure that we are safe. After two hours we reached my home. While we took our luggage to our room, Jake and Pappa had a talk, Mamma gave him water, as we had ou dinner he declined to have any food, and Ed had fallen asleep. After bidding bye to me, my friends and my parents Jake left the house, after promising me to make a call by the time he reach. I also called Daddy and Mummy to tell that we had reached my home As our homes were near he reached within thirty minutes and called me. After talking to him for a while I went to freshen up. Then we all called it a night.
