Save log 8: Here We are Finishing Our Duty
The golem stared at us from the distance as it finally regained its original body. The green orb was placed in front of the golem’s chest area. The mist again appeared after getting evaporated by that explosion.
I thought the plan had a 90% success rate?!
“It did. That’s why you all could turn it into nothing but rocks and pebbles. This part wasn’t in the probability.” the voice said in my head.
“You humans could’ve destroyed the core before it could regenerate.”
...damn it, why didn’t we think about that.
“It’s too late now. The golem is all new and ready to fight. Hey Lina-san, why are you running away leaving us?!” Lina was running away from the battlefield with all her might.
“You damn woman! Come back here!” she didn’t stop running. I used my agility to catch up with her.
“If we die you are dying with us!”
“No! I don’t want to die like that! Let me go!”
I dragged back to our position. The golem was still standing there still staring at us menacingly.
“What the heck are we going to do now? That thing is creeping the heck out of me.”
“We got no other choice. I am going to blast that thing apart again.”
“Huh?!” both Lina and I became surprised hearing that.
“Didn’t you said that you won’t be able to do it Miss Furara?”
“I know but, it’s worth a try. I might be able to cast it if I have enough mana drink.”
“Here. Take all the mana drinks you want.”
Lina is giving Furara mana drink one by one until Furara said it’s enough.
“Alright, I think I am ready.”
Joro went on Furara’s shoulder. Furara raised her hand and began the chanting.
“You have survived the blow this time but now, this is all over for you golem. With Fire and wind magic on side, I shall turn you into pebbles again.”
The crimson lighting effects again surrounds Furara as she chants. She is fired up for some reason. Lina and I are standing beside Furara and enjoying the show.
“May the spirits of fire and wind magic help me to destroy..?”
The golem finally reacted by moving a bit after hearing Furara chanting I guess.
“Why is it moving now?”
“Maybe it regained much energy to move around a bit. It must have sensed the magic from Furara.”
“God damn it. We have to distract the golem again?”
‘We got no other choice. Let’s go Lina. Prepare that binding magic again this time.”
I ran toward the golem with Lina. She grabbed a rope from her inventory. Once we reached the place Lina held the rope in front of her.
“Greater Binding!”
The rope wrapped around the golem. I grabbed an end of the rope while Lina grabbed another end.
“Leader’s Shout!”
With all of our might, we pulled the rope stopping the golem to move around. The golem was still strong enough to move us.
“Stop moving like that you stupid rock.” Lina yelled at it as she was trying to tie it to a tree. We quickly started to tie it with a tree close by us. Wait, if she casts the magic on the golem before we could tie, we are also gonna be a victim of the explosion......
“Bakudan no Kaze!”
We are dead! Right after that, I heard an explosion and I got hit by a tree because of the impact. Everything became dark in front of me as I lost consciousness.

.....
“....Hanjiro?”
“...oi...Hanji…I think….dead.”
“Don’t...negatively...fine…”
“What...iot...stood there...got...killed.”
I slowly sat up. My head was aching really bad. Where the heck am I?
“You are alright. Thank god!”
“Where the heck am.....oh yes, the golem quest. What happened after I lost my conscious?”
“Well, after you got hit on the head standing there stupidly, the golem turned into pebbles again. But, this time, Furara lost her memory for some reason. She got her memory back just a few moments ago.”
“So, the golem is dead this time?”
“The golem still could operate. But, Lina-san broke that green core of the golem and now everything is fine.”
“Yeah, I beat the shit out of that golem. I stole that green orb and then smashed on the ground. No need to worry about that thing to regenerate again.”
“.....our job is done then?”
“Yes, our job is finished.”
Lina helped me stand up. We finished the quest then.
-Slaying Quest-
Objective:Defeat the Golem in the Ruins of Mist Mountains
Difficulty:Hard(5 stars)
Reward:100,000 Azuls
~Completed~
“Alright, this time, we are really going to get that 100,000 azuls. Should we use the teleporter of the fon or Joro is going to do it?”
“Oh yeah, you leveled up Hanjiro. Also, your light armor level increased after getting hit by that rock.” said Furara.
“Huh? Seriously? Well, I guess it wasn’t that bad after all. I can wear that cloak now.”
“Draken used a lot of mana over Furara. You have to rely on the fon’s teleporter for now. I am sorry.”
“Nah, it’s alright. You did put a lot of effort into this quest too.”
We pressed the teleporter button. After a flash of light blinding us, we are now standing in front of Siyol’s reception.
“Hm? Oh! Hanjiro and the others! Welcome back! Did you guys retreat or something?”
“I will make you pay for saying that to the person you force to do this quest.”
“I-I am sorry. You guys look wound up and blood is coming out from your head. Are you alright?”
“Hm? What the heck? You guys didn’t stop the blood flowing out?”
“Oh yeah. Furara had her memory wiped so she couldn’t heal you. I thought it stopped back there.”
“I am sorry Hanjiro.”
“I don’t care. Just take me to the infirmary. Agh! The pain increased all of a sudden.” Lina grabbed me and took me to the infirmary along with Furara.
~After getting ourselves healed~
“Here is your reward. Now get your ass out from here. I am going to sleep.” Lisa yelled at us after giving us the reward money for the golem subjugation. We got a bonus and the total reward was 200,000 azuls. We left the counter without saying anything. We don’t want her to get mad.
“200,000 azuls. How are we going to split it?”
“I was thinking if we should give Joro and Draken a part of the reward.” Furara proposed.
“No need to give us anything. Also, what am I going to do with it? I am just an undead so I don’t have to eat like you bunch.”
“Alright if you say so. I guess I will have 80,000 azuls while you two take 60,000 azuls.”
“I was thinking. Why not just spend 5,000 on dinner and we split the remaining 150,000 among us.”
“Hmm, that’s a good idea Furara. Let’s do that.”
“You guys want to eat lunch now? It’s not even 12 pm yet. Well, who cares. Hey Miya! We would like to order.”
The brown haired staff member in charge of the tavern wearing an orange maid dress came over after hearing me calling her.
~Some days later~
“Hey Siyol, you heard that we received a letter from the capital?” Alice asked Siyol. The guild was empty with only the staff members lazing.
“No. When did we get that?”
“The guild master said that our guild received higher in the country’s guild ranking system. He said we will be getting a high salary starting this month.”
Siyol and Alice looked at each other. Both of them put on a creepy grin.
* “Kōkyū! Kōkyū! Kōkyū!” both of them cheered.
*Kōkyū means High Salary
“Shut the f**k up! Can I at least get some nap? What’s the deal with Kōkyū Kōkyū?”
“Haven’t you heard Lisa? We are going to get a high salary from next month.”
“Oh good. I can survive the winter then. Now let me sleep! I don’t want to hear any yelling.”
The guild workers continued with their laziness and celebrating for an increase of their salary.
