"Dad!!!"

I opened the door with force worried about my father I don't what happened but it's sounds like he is in trouble. I run towards the dining room and I see stains of blood in couch I see him on the floor in a pool of blood.

The smell of blood is so strong mixed with alcohol.

"Dad!!!"

I touch him but he's not moving at all.

I try to wake him up but he's unconscious there's nothing than to call an ambulance. I dialed the number so fast I'm so nervous and I'm shaking.

"Hello this is Emma Grey I found my father unconscious I think he's dead." I try so hard not to cry but the tears are falling and I'm so scared.

"Okay Mam just breathe in and out and tell us what going on"

"I don't know he called me about 30 minutes ago he said nothing he just called me that he needs help. Please come here I don't what to do." I say loudy because she keeps asking me this type of questions like I'm the one who is a doctor.

"Mam the ambulance is coming in about 10 minutes please just be patient and try to check his pulse"

I don't even try to answer her I just switch off the phone. I check his pulse he's barely breathing and I'm so worried about he's probably in trouble with the loan sharks that he always take the money from.

I hear the sirens and the door knocking so fast.

"Miss Emma we received your call that there was an accident here?"

"Yes my father is unconscious in the dining area"

The first responder comes in and he kneel down and do a CPR on my father.

"He's pulse is getting weaker but he needs to get into the hospital fast"

They come in so fast with a stretcher and they put him in the ambulance.

The paramedic turns his head and speak to me

"Mam are you related to this man?"

"Yes I'm his daughter"

"We need to go to the hospital fast are you coming with us?"

I'm not even noticing the paramedic I'm just lost with what's happening around me.

"Mam are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine I will follow you in my car I can't leave it in here"

"Okay" The paramedic gets in the back if the ambulance and he tells the driver to drive

Faster I get into my own car and follow the ambulance.

I don't even know what happened with my father but he was in critical state I wonder what they

did to him. I'm so stressed about him even though we are not in the good space but I don't think

I want my father to be dead. I'm lucky that Ashley had a sleepover with her friends I don't think I

need to tell her this news.

We arrived at the hospital the ambulance stops at the front of the hospital door. I swear this people were trained to do this type of work they are so fast.

"We got a patient who is bleeding so fast his pulse is very weak we need a doctor now!!"

The paramedic shouts at the nurses who is in a reception area.

"Take him into room 108 and the doctor will see him in there." The nurses tell them the paramedic are walking fast with a stretcher that carries my father.

I see they room they take him in and the paramedics are speaking to the doctor.

"We need to do an operation fast if he continues bleeding he might not be able to survive"

When I hear this the tears are starting to falling and I think I might not survive this loss.

"Does this man have any relatives?

The nurse speaks outside of the room where they put my father.

"Yes that's me I'm his daughter Emma"

"Miss Grey your father is going go into surgery in the next 10 minutes he is in a critical state,the doctor need to this operation now because he's pulse is getting weaker by each second."

"Yes I understand how many minutes will the operation take"

"I think it will take 3 hours all you need is to wait before the doctor comes to you. You can sit here and if you feel tired or hungry you can go to the cafeteria." The nurse smiles at me she's trying to hard to make me forget about my father.

"Okay thank you so much"

I don't know what to think or do in this kind of situation I wish my mom was alive I know she will know that do in this type if thing. I don't even know what happened to him and I'm not going to tell Ash I know she won't be interested in hearing this story. She still sensitive and she needs to heal. Even though they are trying so hard to save his life that doesn't not make him innocent he's still an alcoholic who used to beat her child. I don't even what would happened after who would take if him because I don't my sister will want to live in the same building with him.

3 hours passed and the doctor doesn't come to me with anything. I wait for couple of minutes.

"Miss Grey"

"Yes"

I see a doctor comes to me I think he's the one who was is in charge of my father.

"You're the daughter of the patient?"

"Yes"

"Your father is lucky he survived but I can tell your he's in a very bad shape"

I breathe out a little I'm thankful he survived but I need to know what happened to him.

"Doctor can you tell me what happened to him?

"This was not an accident the person who did this to him knew what were doing because they broke his both of his legs and they cut his fingers of the left hand"

That's impossible I never heard of such cruel thing I wonder what my father did to deserve this kind of punishment.

"But Doctor who could do such a thing to him.? "

The doctor looks at me with pity and I think the type of person my father is.

"Your father must be in trouble because I also found out that he's an alcoholic. You knew that right?

" Yes I know that he's having some personal problems but I didn't think he would end up in this kind of situation"

"He's in ICU right you not allowed to see him now you can see him tomorrow. I'm so sorry about what happened to your father Miss"

"Thank You Doctor"

I sit down on a hospital chair I don't even know what I would do.

"Dad"

Where did we go wrong?

Why are you like this?

Is it fair to us ?

I'm so tired if him and his problems. The only thing he brings is suffering. I wonder who did this to him.

I go to the cafeteria and order coffee so that I can clear my mind. It looks I'm going to spend a night here. I see 2 police coming in my way.

"Miss Emma?

I wonder who told them my name. Maybe my father is in trouble with the law.

"Yes that's me."

"We believe your father's accident was a warning"
