A warning?

I look at the police in front of me trying to process what they just said to me I can't understand them.

"Can you please explain your selves because I cannot understand what you just said to me."

The other office try to speak but the one who is a Detective stops him. "Miss Grey I am Detective Jackson we are investigating your father's accident I know you will be probably be shocked what will say to you."

I wonder what is going on with my father now.

"Yes you can start talking"

"We belive your father was not an accident it was an attack coming from his enemies."

"What!! What kind of enemies he has that could do such a thing to him?"  I shout starting to get angry with they just go around in circles and I'm losing my patience.

"Can you please just explain what is going on I'm tired of this thing."

"Mam we believe that your father was beaten up by the people he owns and those who people are in the Mafia"

Mafia? What the heck? Are these things even real I don't think it's even real. "Mafia I don't know what you guys are talking about. Can you please explain yourself.

" Mam you father must have taken their money I know you believe that a thing called "Mafia" is even real. Yes we have gangs in here in New York and the Mafia is one the dangerous people. They from Italy and they are the most dangerous one in the world. They are called the Morreti Mafia."

I run my hair through my hands. I don't even know what to say my father is real in trouble. I don't think I can help him in this kind of situation I don't want to get involved with kind of people who are dangerous.

" Can you please what the relationship between my father and this Morreti Mafia and please tell me about them."

"Mam your father was a drug dealer for them and he started owning them some money and they kind of threaten him so he ended up selling drugs for them. It's all their fault he is a drug addict and he is in a hospital."  I don't know what is happening right now my head is spinning around in circles from this situation. I let him continue talking.

" The Morreti Mafia have been in existence since the last 100 years. They are Italian and they do all kind of illegal things. They are an organized drug syndicate and they do gambling, loan sharking, drug-trafficking, prostitution, and fraud. They do these kinds of things. The Morreti Mafia they are known for being one of most dangerous and ruthless mafia in all time. You must imagine all these kind of things. They are large in groups and have many men with them."

" What are you serious how can my father associate himself with people who are dangerous like these who live for killing people and stealing?"  I actually scream I don't even know what to think anymore.

" Mam I think you can help us if you can work with us against them."  I think he's crazy if he thinks that he can use me to get to them.

"Are serious you think I can risk my life and sister's life so that I can help you to achieve your long dream to catch those guys. I don't care about your issues with them. I'm not crazy to think that I can help your so that I could end up dead."

"Miss we can have protect you and your sister and remember that your family is in danger I'm sure they already know you. They could kill you anywhere you go unless you with us we can help you. If you change your mind please contact me. He gives me a card with his number. "I'm sorry about your father just remember we can help you. Don't forget that we investigating your father's attack if anything happens we will contact you. I'm sorry about what happened to your father"  He gives me a nod and the leave.

I don't even know what to think anymore. My father is really in danger and he did that without thinking about what will happen to his daughters. I cry thinking about what will happen to my sister. Even though our father is a disappointment and he did bad things but I still love him and I think they may be a good in him.

I see the doctor coming and I get up ready for what he's going to say to me.

"Miss Grey your father's condition is bad but we think he will be alright because he is responding to the medicine that we are giving to him. What I can tell you whoever did that to him is inhuman and evil."

"But you think he will wake up and be alright. What's really happened with him."

"Your father was attacked and he was beaten up with a morning star who ever did this knew how to use it and he/she experienced."

"A morning star?! Who can do that to a human being are they crazy or what."

"I don't know but what I can tell with his condition is that he is badly hurt in his legs he won't be able to walk for a couple of months. He is a lot of pain. If you need anything tell me but I suggest that you go home and rest. You can come tomorrow you father is sleeping and we assure you that we can help him."

" Thank You Doc"

I sit down for a couple of minutes to calm down and process what is going right now. My father is involved with a mafia and he is in a hospital and I don't know what more I could think. I need to calm.

I stand up and walk out if the hospital and go to the parking and I open my car as soon as get in the car I look around. I feel like there is someone who is looking at me. I look around but there is no one. I closed the door so fast and start the car.

After I arrived from the hospital I take a shower and wear my night dress so that I can get so sleep it's been a bad day. I don't think I can take more of this. I called my sister so that I can check up on her.

"Hey sis"

"Hey honey are you alright there with your friends?"

"Yes. We having so much fun and thank you so much for allowing me to go to my friends house."

"Okay honey I wanted to check up on you and tell you that I will fetch you at the morning."

"Oh come on I know that. Thank you and good night"

She giggles and I switched the phone off. I smile a little I'm so happy that she is happy. I don't know how can I tell her this.

I here the the knock and I open it. I ordered the pizza I'm not in the mood in the to cook. I take the pizza and watch a movie I'm so tired.

I think about my father's situation I meanoyr situation we are all in danger. I think about what the police said I don't even know what to do.

I feel sleepy I switched off the TV and go to the bedroom. I have no social life when I divorced with Dean I became so numb and closed off so I have no interest in social.

I switch of the light and I got to bed.
