Chapter 19 Breakthrough to level 3

Everyone around Sean, Wendell and Sherry watched the student council move away from the cafeteria and started whispering "This kid is lucky. To think that he would catch the attention of student council before even joining the Academy"

"From now on he will have connections with the student council which contains students from higher society and clans" said a student.

"Well he was able to deduce the type of criminal and the possible next victims from very little information. Looks like he is intelligent" said another student.

"What intelligence? Even I can come up with something like this" said a student who was pissed at the luck of Sean. No matter what comment the students passed Sean did not care as he simply started eating his lunch while Sherry was excitedly saying "Little brother Sean, you should take the offer given by President Carmella. You will have a bright future in the Academy". "Thank you big sister Sherry" said Sean while smiling. Wendell also had a smile on his face clearly happy about the development.

Meanwhile a boy from the student council group could not hold it in anymore as he asked "President Carmella why did you invite that kid to the student council. He is clearly from a small family" while holding contempt and disgust in his face. This boy is the treasurer of the student council and also the person who leads the boys in the student council and was from an upper middle level family. However Carmella did not speak nor did she even turn back to look at the boy while the Vice President answered on her behalf "Rutherford it's not your place to question the decision of the President" while giving a cold look on her face. Rutherford, despite being pissed, suddenly cleared his look of contempt to his signature bright smile as he bowed "Forgive me Carmella, I was just curious" for which the Vice President said "Rutherford, there is no need for you to follow us to the council, you can take an early leave. And it's President Carmella for you" as the Vice president who is called Lucy walked behind the President and followed by the Secretary Phoebe Lawrence. Rutherford despite maintaining his smile was shouting inside his head "That bitch Carmella and her sidekick Bitch Lucy, soon they will fall into my trap. I'll fuck that Carmella bitch and use her like a tool to breed, after all she is also from an upper middle level clan like mine. Only she is qualified to carry my seed. I'll also take over all her resources and her clan to make my clan a large clan. As for that Lucy bitch, How dare she talk to me in that tone coming from a fucking normal family just because she has Carmella's support. But she is indeed good looking. Well I'll let my subordinates play with her after I use her".

Soon the three beauties entered the President's office which looked more like a luxury to rather than an office. The President sat behind the table on her chair while Phoebe asked "Carmella, Why did you ask the guy to join the student council?" while showing a confused face. Carmella smiled at Phoebe and asked Lucy to explain the reason behind her decision. "That guy named Sean was able to figure out the Profile of the Criminal despite only having limited information. If I am not wrong, a guy with such reasoning skills will be an asset to the student council".

"Oh Carmella and Lucy, you guys think way too deep" said Phoebe who also come from middle level family. "Well, I'll take my leave for today. I have been working late these days in both student council as well as in the auction hall" said Phoebe who worked as an announcer in the auction hall 'Stars' because of not only does Phoebe come from a middle level family but also is a true beauty. Phoebe soon left the President's office and Carmella asked Lucy to complete her full reasoning. Lucy though came from a normal family has been an attendant and a childhood friend of Carmella and also had a bloodline ability. Carmella trusted Lucy's advice as she was her brain and right hand. "Yes, that boy named Sean is clearly a level 2 warrior, but I felt that he was much more dangerous than that. He is also brilliant as he was able to figure out much about you during the time you talked with him".

"That is not all Lucy, though he observed me, his eyes were clear. He did not show any lust towards me unlike other boys which means he is not someone who thinks with his lower half of the body" said Carmella while genuinely impressed as most guys she had been around either shows lust openly or hides it with a smile like Rutherford.

"Do you want me to keep an eye on the boy Carmella? Do you want to recruit him" asked Lucy for which Carmella said "I will ask my guards to have a subordinate to keep an eye on him and based on the information from the observation I'll take my decision".

"What about Rutherford, Carmella? I feel like he is getting dangerous. At first he only acted and never showed his true face while secretly trying to get other student council members to his side. But nowadays he does not mask his lust and greed as he thinks that he already has you in his palm. Other than the fact that he is vying for you and your assets in the family he is also vying for the position of the President and planning to swallow your big sisters mercenary team through you as most of the members in that mercenary team belongs to you. Half of our student council already belong to him and Phoebe, though she acts well like our friend has already betrayed us. She has been sleeping with him for the past 1 year" asked Lucy clearly worried about Carmella.

"It's alright Lucy, you know as well as I do the student council is nothing but a screening process in selecting talented as well as loyal people to join our Mercenary team. Apart from a few people who qualified for it and are already in the team there is no need for the others. If they want to be a spy for Rutherford that can after all no one else knows more about me and I don't trust anyone else more than you Lucy, at least not yet. As for Rutherford, he can take those idiots who betray me for meagre benefits" said Carmella as she laughed while looking through the window and signalled. Within seconds a man dressed in black came in through the window as he bent his knee down "Young Mistress, how may I help you?".

"The guy whom I talked with during lunch, bring all the information about him and have one of the Shadows to monitor his movements" said Carmella as she waved for the guard to go. "Yes Young mistress" as he went through the same window he came from.

Sean, Wendell and Sherry soon finished touring till evening and went back to restaurant to have dinner. After dinner Sean went back to the room while Wendell sent Sherry back to the Academy and came back to the room. The days passed by as Wendell and Sherry went together to their teams while Sean followed his usual routine of training in the morning by going to the training arena in the city while upgrading his arsenal which was mostly his bullets and knives which previously had effect upto warrior level 5. The bullets, knives, guns, vests, scope etc received an upgrade which was effective upto level 8 which cost around 15 million dollars which left him a balance of 5 million dollars in his account. Sean used rest of the money in his account to purchase basic healing gene which cost around 3 million dollars and kept the rest for emergency purposes.

After two days inside the training arena of open field Sean who was in his warrior training felt his Qi surge at top speed as colour of Qi started changing from orange to yellow and started circulating inside his body. Sean was surprised that he broke through as though he did his warrior training diligently every morning to keep up appearance in order to hide his gene enhancement, he did not train more than two hours everyday. The power which Sean felt made him believe that he could fight a fifth level warrior head on without a problem as he felt the gene enhancement and Qi combining together.

With this Sean felt like he could go to a higher class in his admission test.
