I got Yejun all ready to go and made Sungho watch him while I got ready. I wore a simple shirt and some jeans while Yejun wore his outfit when I found him last night although it was all nice and clean now. I washed it last night while thinking of ways on how to explain to Sungho our 'situation'.
We went outside and locked the door. My cousin walking by my side and Yejun in my arms, his head rested on my shoulder, and his legs swinging back and forth.
"Aren't you just the most precious thing?" Sungho cooed at the sight of Yejun. The said little boy looked away shyly. I glanced at him and saw him pouting cutely.
We decided on taking Sungho's car. We arrived at the parking lot and entered the car. Yejun and I were seated at the back while Sungho was the driver. He opened the radio and we listened to the music playing throughout the whole ride.
We soon arrived in front of the café. I picked up Yejun as Sungho parked the car and turned off the engine. We got out of the car as Yejun began to wriggling in my arms "H-Hey! Be careful, kid! You might fall and hurt yourself" I exclaimed. "Can you put me down pwease, Hyung?" Yejun requested. I nodded and continued to put him down but still hold on to his hand for safety.
We entered the café and soon felt the cool air thanks to the airconditioning. Suddenly, a cat approached Yejun and started rubbing its head to his leg. Yejun's eyes sparkled in excitement as he bent down to pet the said cat. It was a white-colored cat with black spots on its body and its eyes was neon green. It continued purring as Yejun stroked its soft fur.
"Ah, I see you've met Oliver. He's the friendliest kitty here" Sungho said as he saw Yejun. "He has a name?!" the little boy asked eagerly. Sungho chuckled at his cute reaction "Of course he has a name. Every furry friend that you see here has a name. It would be cruel if we didn't give them names don't you think?"
"W-Where did you fwind them?" Yejun asked. "Most of them are strays and some of them are rescues" Sungho replied. "T-That's so cool!" Yejun exclaimed his eyes filled with wonder.
'How cute'. I thought.
"Come on, let's go take a seat," I told Yejun who stopped petting the cat and started walking beside me. Yejun and I took a seat by the window while Sungho went to the kitchen.
A few moments later he appeared again with an apron tied around his waist and he was holding a tray. It contained 2 plates of pancakes and 2 glasses. One was filled with what seemed like milk and the other coffee.
He set down the plates and sat down beside me. Yejun looked amazed at the food that was in front of him. "D-Did Hyung make this?" he asked.
"I sure did! Now go on, eat up" Sungho replied, his face filled with pride. Yejun picked up his fork and took a bite. His face lit up in joy "Ish sho yummy!" he exclaimed, mouth still full of food. He continued to eat as I did the same while sipping coffee.
Yejun suddenly stopped and looked at me with curious eyes. "What are you dwinking, Hoonie-hyung?" he asked, head slightly tilting.
"Oh, this?" I said, gesturing to the coffee in my hands "It's coffee"
"C-Coffwee? What's that?" he questioned. "It's a grown-up drink, kid" I answered. "J-Junnie is a gwon up! Can I try?" he asked.
"I don't think you'll like it very much, kid. But sure, only a little bit, okay?" I said as I handed him the cup. He gently took the cup and took a sip. His face soon scrunched up in disgust "B-Bitter!" he exclaimed "I don't wike it" he said as he pushed the cup back to me.
I laughed at his reaction and said "I thought as much. Hyung likes it though" as I continue to drink the coffee.
A cat jumped onto my lap suddenly and laid down as it began to sleep. I chuckled softly and started stroking its fur. Yejun noticed and looked over "The kitty wikes Hyung!" he exclaimed.
"That's right. This little guy is Charlie. He always comes to Jihoon when he goes here" Sungho explained. Charlie was a small munchkin cat that Sungho found a few months before. Charlie has white and grey colored fur and black eyes.
"When Sungho found him, he immediately brought him over to the apartment. The poor guy's paw was bleeding and he was covered in mud. Probably got into a fight with other strays, I don't know. But we took care of him and eventually brought him here" I explained to Yejun who was listening attentively.
"Hoonie-hyung and Sungho-hyung are so cwool!" Yejun exclaimed "You saved a kitty! You guys are hewoes!"
"We are, aren't we?" Sungho said while having a prideful look on his face again. "Are you done eating now? We still have to drop by the mall to buy somethings" I asked Yejun, glancing at my watch. It was now 12 in the afternoon.
Yejun ate the last piece of pancake left on his plate and gulped down his milk. "Done!" he exclaimed after. I got up from my seat as well as my cousin. "Don't we have to pay?" Yejun asked as I carried him. "I'm the boss of this place, Yejun-ah. It's on the house" Sungho told him.
"Thanks, Sungho," I said "Hey! Honorifics, where are they?" he said with an offended look on his face. "Up your as- butt. I mean butt." I said, minding my words, not wanting Yejun to hear.
With a 'hmph', Sungho just crossed his arms and pouted mumbling something along the lines of 'rude brat'
I laughed at his reaction "Well then, shall we go?" I asked as we began walking.
