Isn't This Just A Date!?

I followed him as he led me down a shady alley after exiting the train station. I furtively glanced at him but he simply grins at me innocently, oblivious to my qualms or perhaps dismissing it altogether with his aloof attitude.

I had no idea why I trusted him enough to continue following him, but somehow, his cold hands which held mine felt strong and reassuring. I didn't feel uncomfortable in the least nor did I feel worried because he was with me.

"What? Are you scared?" he takes a peek in my direction with a mocking grin as I raise an eyebrow in his direction.

"Pfft— Like I am, in fact, i-is there even a need to be scared?" I felt my cheeks flush while trying to play it cool as he laughed and pats my head reassuringly.

"I won't let anything happen to you. No need to worry." he squeezed my hand a little tighter to reassure me as I narrowed my eyes at him with a frown.
