I've made a grave mistake... Part 2

I woke up on a bed with bandages on my whole body. I see Shive is staring at me. Again, with the same stare as before, my mind starting to show an image, it's getting worse and worse, I'm crying and I can't breathe then I'm staring at Shive. When I want to say something, my mouth can't be open. I keep staring at Shive and beg for mercy, I cried until there are no tears left. My eyes are getting warm and it starts to hurts from crying. She left then all those images suddenly gone, I finally can breathe. Is this the punishment for me as a party leader that can do nothing when I'm the one who should protect them from harm, I requested Shive to train me to become stronger to protect Vivi and Kiel and she trusted me and getting a bit serious with the training and yet I can't even do that, I'm weak. I have to be more cautious about everything from now on, I was too cocky and I'm putting Vivi and Kiel in danger. I thought it was an easy task, but I never think about the worse things that might happen. I disappointed Shive, I don't think I can forgive myself and showing my face to Shive.

Few hours have passed, Shive back with Zee and Edith. Then Zee says,

"Val, had you gave some thoughts about this? You're a party leader, all your party member's life is on your hands. A leader is not just a title you can be proud of, it's also a responsibility. A leader is like a King, you're the one in charge also the slave to your members. You work harder than them, you think harder than them. I'm asking you now. Can you take that responsibility seriously now?"

I nodded then Edith chanted an absolute recovery spell on me. All the injuries, fatigue, and even make me feel relaxed. After I can move, I immediately jumped down from the bed and bow on my knees, and says,

"I'm sorry Miss Shive that I disappointed you, I will never take everything so lightly from now on, I want to get stronger for them. I can't forgive myself for what happened back there. Mister Zee, please teach me how to be a leader, I will be more cautious and always think about the worse situation from now on, I will take responsibility as the party leader, I swear on my life if I won't make the same mistake again. Miss Edith thank you for everything, you always take care of the 3 of us. I will always in debt to you. Once again, I'M SO SORRY. PLEASE MAKE ME A BETTER PERSON!"

They nod and Zee picked me up and tapped me on the shoulder. That tap feels like the responsibility he just gave to me. Then I ask,

"Any way where are we? And how long I've been unconscious?

Edith replies,

"About 30 minutes and we are in the morgue. Zee wrapped you with those bandages because you were dead. I revive you back to life, and that's not a joke. You died from Shive's attacks."

I was dead?! Edith revived me?! So it's true that a Priest can revive the dead. I don't want to ask about the details because I already being a burden to them. Then I ask Shive,

"Miss Shive, will you train me again? I promise I won't disappoint you ever again."

She nods and says,

"Let's go."

We go to the training ground again, but this time Vivi and Kiel are there with Vex, Secra, and Den. Vivi and Kiel asked me where did I go because they didn't see me when they came here. I told them that I got special training from Shive. They believe me and we do our own training. Shive gave me the wooden sword this time. I wonder why she didn't give me the black one like earlier. She said the rules are still the same, to try hitting her with the sword. I readied my stance, this time I'll be more cautious and thinking for the worse possible situation and knowing my weakness. Den gave the signal, I'm using a defensive stance, Shive smile and running towards me and disappeared, I'll follow my instinct to duck and then roll sideways. I was right. She was above me and hit the ground. Jumping against her is impossible, it's my weakness. So I'm planning to run towards her and then duck when she disappeared. Again my prediction was right, she disappeared when I get near her, and I duck and know that she's behind me, I will tackle her leg and she will jump, my prediction is right again and this is my chance. I grab her leg and pull her down, but I know she will kick me in the face, so I will block her kick with the sword but with her strength, it will throw me away. It goes as I planned, I flew and this is where she usually finishes me off with a punch or a stab. I spun myself and she missed her punch. This is it, with the force from spinning, I swing my sword as strong and as fast as I can, I hit something and it made a cracking sound. Did I hit her? When I looked, my sword hit her ribs. But I was too happy and she ready to punch me in the face, I can't dodge it.

I released my sword and protect my face with my both arms, and she punched me so hard that both my arms, my nose, and my teeth broke, and I hit the ground so hard it made a huge hole and I'm stuck in the ground. Shive grab me and pulled me up, I checked her ribs, it's swollen but suddenly it healed on its own. She laughed and says,

"That was fun, Val, you're different from the old you. The new you, I like it. You passed the test, and from tomorrow I will make a lot more difficult training."

I smiled with missing teeth, everyone is laughing because I look hideous. Vivi chanted a recovery spell and congratulate me for passing the test, Kiel cheering me from the distance. Shive tossed me the black wooden sword and says,

"Start training with that sword. Bring that every time you jog."

I reply,

"Yes Miss Shive, I will, and thank you so much for the compliment and everything."

I'm bowing down. While everyone still training on their own, I asked Shive if she wants to do it again because we still have plenty of time, this time real sparring, she nodded.

3 hours have passed, it's almost evening. I did 20 matches with Shive, I hit her at least twice each match and lots of broken bones but this time I'm not passing out. We finishing up the training and went to Gyne for dinner as always, while I'm dragging the black wooden sword. We spent time together and said our goodbyes for the night, I, Vivi, and Kiel walking together to the Inn. Vivi says,

"Val you look different now."

Kiel nods with the agreement.

I reply,

"What do you guys mean?"

She replies,

"You're so cool. It feels like you're way stronger than before. I can't explain it, but you become more mature. I like the new you like Miss Shive said at the training ground, has something happened to you?"

I reply,

"Yes, something happened. I want to be like Zee, a party leader that can be depended on by his friends."

Kiel's eyes glimmering because of the words I said, Vivi is laughing and said that it's still a long way to be like Zee. I laughed and I nodded, but I promise to both of them that I'll be a better person and a good leader. They both nod. They're curious about the black wooden sword that I've been dragging since the training ground, and they want to try to pick it up. When I asked them to hold it with their both hands, I released my hands from it, they both instantly fell to the ground and Kiel says,

"WHAT IS THIS THING, IT'S CURSED!!!!!!! AND I JUST TOUCHED IT!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!"

Kiel is screaming while running away panicking. We arrived at the Inn, I said goodbye to both of them and go to my room, and hit the bed.
